contribution to the creation of this book.

This book is dedicated to every human.

    All energies can be useful.

Most things are not like they seem on the surface.

    Be aware that with the right view, sometimes the wrong road and people;

can lead you to the right road and people.

    Amin.

    Awareness

    Fiction Alleged perception.

There is a Creator Force that creates all things, positive or negative. Everything returns to this Creator Force.

Some people might say prove that this Creator Force exist. I will say prove to me that it does not.

Every human is entitled to their opinion and perception.

Positive and negative people have the same original power and will of choice. The sacred process that creates everything gives the same options to everything.

Positive energy frequencies create a certain result. Negative energy frequencies create a certain result. All energies can be useful depending on the intention and perception of the person.

The process of creating something is choice, responsibility, action, practice, many infinite repeat practices, transformation, and then change can occur.

Jealousy can be a deadly weapon. Jealousy can be in connection to seeing someone with something that is desired. The person does not realize that all they must do is, perform the work to have that same thing, or even create something improved.

Sometimes the person you help the most, is the person who has the most potential to hurt you.

Creating love, which includes care and respect, can help you to improve in positive ways. Creating fear, which include not caring and disrespect, can help you to deteriorate in negative ways. Choice is the first step in positive or negative creations. The choices are yours to make.

    Introduction

In my style of writing sometimes things might be repetitive or seem repetitive. This is intentional. Also, it gives every character, and the story teller, the freedom of their personal talking expression. Why? Because I classify my stories’ purpose as teaching stories, and to assist people by choice in reconnecting to their authentic humanity. Through repeated practice people can improve, learn, and grow, by choice. Plus, different people process in different ways. My story expressions are not Grammarly modern language and speaking perfect. Thank you for choosing to read my stories.

Below is the introduction for LILY-BUTERFLY – And The Path Of Life’s Experiences - Part Two, and below part two’s introduction is the introduction from part one. This previous introduction can help to refresh your memory as you immerse yourself into the reading of part two. The only additional awareness I will add is that I recommend that part one of this story is read before part two. This way you will get the complete story in continued sequence, from beginning to end. In this part two, Lily-Butterfly moves with her daughter Rebornstar from the island of Kawomaya to the United States of America. Lily-Butterfly continues to follow her internal guided path to find and discover her chosen destiny and life’s purpose career. Step by step Lily-Butterfly’s talents continue to reveal themselves, and she continued to work on her own personal healing and transformation. As the story unfolds Lily-Butterfly gave birth to another daughter. She was guided in a dream to name this daughter, Holly – like the holly tree. Lily-Butterfly choose not to marry Holly’s father. Lily-Butterfly continued her journey onward with two daughters. Later on, in life Lily-Butterfly’s Manana Leila (who was her earth mother, grandmother, healer, spirit guide, teacher, and sacred ancestry representative) dies at 99 years old. Guided by a dream and other situations, Lily-Butterfly remarries for the second time, soon after her Manana Leila dies. In the dream Lily-Butterfly was told that this marriage would last about seven years, and it did. Lily-Butterfly’s second husband was Greek, and his name was Theo. This was a great, loving, compassionate, caring, rewarding, complete, and fulfilling experience for both Theo and Lily-Butterfly. The separation and divorce between Theo and Lily-Butterfly was created by Theo having to return to Greece to fulfill his karma and destiny. It was a very difficult decision for both of them to end the relationship. This separation and divorce was a test for Theo and Lily-Butterfly. Lily-Butterfly chose not to give up her life’s purpose destiny and go with Theo to Greece. Theo decided to stop trying to escape his destiny and return to Greece. This separation and divorce occurred after Lily-Butterfly was deeply rooted in her chosen destiny life’s purpose career practice. Ms. Gina, Lily-Butterfly’s birth mother died December 24, 2018, the day when D. O. Grant had finish writing part one of LILY-BUTTERFLY – And The Path Of Life’s Experiences. You must read this fascinating part two of LILY-BUTTERFLY – And The Path Of Life’s Experiences, to see the very interesting things and events, that happened after part one.

A summary of other things that Lily-Butterfly decided to add to her authentic spirit and soul, talents, and skills were: - returning to the University two more times. One time for a Master of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. The second time Holistic Theology Institute to be certified as a Metaphysician. She entered a monastery for monastic training. Learned how to professionally practice and teach the healing art of Universal Life Force Energy, creating sacred space the ancient way of her ancestors and the disciplined art of Feng Shui, learned the ancient healing art of the Inca Shamans, received certification in the art of a Birth Doula, and also became a non-denominational ordained minister. Lily-Butterfly created a very successful Holistic health care healing arts center. She chooses how she would like to use her awakened talents to continue to help herself and other humans, who choose to be on a spiritual path. It was clear to Lily-Butterfly as she lived her life’s experiences that she could not give what she did not have. So, Lily-Butterfly’s quest to discover her chosen destiny and life’s purpose, she had to first discover and heal herself as much as it was possible, plus learn tools to express herself and her talents from the inside to the outside.

This is a story of a woman’s focus, motivation, inspiration, determination, hope, love, compassion, respect, care, and honor. Getting to her spirit and soul chosen life’s purpose career took all that Lily-Butterfly had learned along the pathways of her journey. The complete journey, and to maintain the process of spiritual growth to the current day, was accomplished by practicing the following practices of – choice, responsibility, action, practice, infinite continuous and consistent repeat practice, transformation, change, right view, right action, right mindfulness, right speech, right aspiration, right effort, right concentration, diligence, patience, wisdom, generosity, meditation, prayer, morality, trusting herself and others to be who they really are – and not projecting on other people who she wanted them to be, awareness of her boundaries in relationship to other people’s boundaries, and consistent right livelihood. This might seem like a very difficult path to choose as a spirit, soul, and human. But, because this was Lily-Butterfly chosen destiny life’s purpose and focus, she was completely committed to her spiritual path. This might not be a path for everyone, but useful awareness can be discovered by reading this story that has a wide range of multi-faceted views, awareness, and lessons. Take what you choose to find useful and leave the rest in its sacred place and space. INTRODUCTION FROM - LILY-BUTTERFLY – And The Path Of Life’s Experiences - Part One.

Is the foundation of everything sexual? Sex is an action and connection between different objects that transforms the past into the present in many ways. Sex can be a symbol of new life, renewed life force energy, and to categorize gender. Without proof, it is said that it takes a sexual connection, a yoking, a joining, an interconnection, an interdependent, and a relationship to create, and destroy everything. And that human’s foundation is constructed positive or negative on a platform of sexual creative energies.

Inside the womb, and, or, once humans are born, at least one negative thing is experienced. This experience can be conscious or unconscious. With positive transformation and practicing what is desired, these imprints can be improved. With time the person can experience a rights-of- passage to rebirth and a renewed life. Some people call this being born again.

Lily-Butterfly’s life began from a cocoon of deception. With luck, recognizing, awakening, choices, prayer, responsibility, taking-action attitude, transformation, and purification, Lily-Butterfly walked the path of her life. From a disguised sexual encounter, Lily-Butterfly’s mother Gina conceived her. She was the secret her birth mother kept buried deep within her inner being and womb. Lily-Butterfly and Gina were the only ones that carried the secret like a seed carry Universal intelligence. Gina never said a word to anyone about her wordless secret; not even the owner of the sperm that helped to create the chrysalis that lie within the natural protective casing of creation and her womb. From day to day Lily-Butterfly grew within Gina’s perception of shame, deception, and denial.

Gina’s French stepfather Ivan would be very surprised if he knew what awaits him in the future. Through one act of secret, illicit sexual encounter between himself and his stepdaughter Gina, a girl child was conceived. Gina’s mother Nana Leila, love and compassion, will be tested. Will Nana Leila’s love and compassion be enough to lighten the burden of the secret within her daughter Gina’s womb? Only the Divine Creator knows.

After nine months inside Gina’s womb, Lily-Butterfly was born seemingly dead. Dead to Birth. Birth to death. Birth to no one. Lily-Butterfly was abandoned from conception and as she embraced the process of birth, she was also between the wrestling of the process of birth and death. Even within this wall of her mother’s disconnection, she hung on to the creation of life. Under the big circle light of a full moon the night had arrived. The pain had arrived as well. Gina’s pain was knocking at the door of her nerves and she moaned in secret. The baby had begun the journey of descending and staying connected to life, even when death was lurking close by.

Lily-Butterfly was born by giving birth to herself. Gina wanted Lily-Butterfly out of her body and at the same time did not, because of her perception of shame coming out into revelation. Lily-Butterfly was born of weak bones, physical structure, organs, spine, and no rib cage. The strongest thing she had was her spirit, soul, and light. At birth Lily-Butterfly heartbeat was silent, no heartbeat. Silent to everyone in the room, except for herself. Everything about Lily-Butterfly was rubbery and weak. Her head had many lumps and bumps from consistently banging her head against the unopened exit from Gina’s womb. Her face was deformed, and her two eyes shine out like two bright stars shining through. In addition, Lily-Butterfly had no outer structure of a nose, only two holes on her face where her nose should have been. Abundant rays of light streamed through her blood, spirit, soul, and flesh that kept her alive like a Universal incubator.

Even though Lily-Butterfly was born hanging in between birth and death, she was brought back to life and sculptured into complete form, from head to feet, by her Nana Leila’s two hands, love, healing talents, herbs, ancient healing prayer techniques, and a cradle created into the mother earth. Nana Leila saw this almost dead child, looking deeply at her, and the child intuitively told Nana Leila the unspoken secret between her daughter Gina and her husband.

Against all odds Lily-Butterfly survived in her birth mother’s womb journey. Nana Leila and the process of life helped her to grown strong and healthy. Gina gave Lily-Butterfly to her mother Nana Leila when she was born. Gina left her mother’s home completely when Lily-Butterfly was four months old. Surrounded by nature and love, Lily-Butterfly grew from birth to about four years old living with her grandmother thinking it was her mother. At about four years old Gina brought another daughter she had name Lucy to her mother Nana Leila to keep. When Gina came with Lucy Nana Leila told Lily-Butterfly that Gina was her birth mother, and that she was her earth mother, guardian, guide, and caretaker.

At 6 years old Lily-Butterfly was re-united to live with her birth mother Gina. Lily-Butterfly lived with her birth mother Gina until she graduated college. Lily-Butterfly’s physical presence was a constant reminder to Gina of the secret she worked very hard to keep buried. With Gina’s efforts to deal with her perceived secret, she tried to destroy Lily-Butterfly spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, her health, well-being, and in every way. Lily-Butterfly’s strength of spirit and soul kept her in harmony and balance. Lily-Butterfly confronted her birth mother to completely stop the abuse at eighteen years old. She learned and awaken the skills and tools from within herself to make choices, take responsibility, be wise, stay in positive harmony and balance, be self-reliant and inspired, motivated, and to ask for help when it was necessary.

As Lily-Butterfly grew she cultivated and nurtured the passion for learning, reading, and writing. This gave her a positive outlet from her negative experiences. Some of the tools Lily-Butterfly discovered that helped her were:- asking the Creator for help, doing self-treatments of positive Universal life force energy, praying, practicing peace mindfulness kindness meditation, focus on education, reading, journaling, writing, learning, facing her negative experiences and emotions instead of trying to hide and disconnect from them, working out her problems as soon as possible instead of hiding from them or filing them away inside her to create an endless pit of darkness, facing her fears, knowing that trust was about her trusting herself, taking, responsibility, and time to get to know people, that people will always be who they are, not make people out to be what she wanted them to be, wait and with time people will show the other sides of them self, that people have many faces, that there are positive and kind people, that there are negative and mean people, there are people that can be positive and negative at the same time, stay connected to joy, peace, and love. She learned that there was beauty and confidence in simplicity, learned self-reliance, help herself as much as possible and when in need ask for help, and that all energies can be useful.

Read this novel to see Lily-Butterfly’s experiences. Learn about all the alternative solution she created for emancipating, surviving, transforming, and transcending all her negative life’s experiences.

Lily-Butterfly – And the Path of Life’s Experiences can provide awareness insights for, healing, empowerment, unconditional love, compassion, inspiration, motivation, awaken, evolving, courage, kindness, and optimism.

No part or character in this story is more important than the other. Take from this story what you like and leave the rest undisturbed. Awareness, while reading all of D. O. Grant’s books, to get the most out of the information shared, try to: - keep an open mind, step beyond your modern rational people thinking views and ego, read with renewed eyes and views, transcend people created alphabet and grammar rules, and that the messages in the story is the bottom-line view. Awaken to realize that the stories and information shared by D. O. Grant is a work of rare elegance, artistic creation, a form and style of ancient story telling that emanate rich detail, feeling, and imagination. There are no accidents. Everything is for a positive, and, or, negative reason. The awakening of a human’s spirit and soul is a very gradual process of growth through; choice, responsibility, action, practice, infinite repeat practice, transformation, and change. This process can be like when an oak tree seed is planted. An oak tree must wait approximately fifty years or more before it grows acorns consistently. And each acorn can take up to eighteen months to mature. Everything in human life is a process and journey; as well. Some books and stories can be like Universal drum beats.

Lily-Butterfly life’s journey took her from the small remote village of Yaj, in a valley on the island of Kawomaya to Somerville, Massachusetts, in the United States of America. Rebornstar, Lily-Butterfly’s daughter was with her as consistent company, student, and teacher. Both Rebornstar and Lily-Butterfly was in Manana Leila’s living room sleeping on her couch, resting, and transitioning from their life changing journey from the island. Lily-Butterfly still had her open palms on her face. Before falling into a deep intoxicating sleep Lily-Butterfly prayed, expressed gratitude, and appreciation for everything.

At 7:00 PM Lily-Butterfly woke up. She telephones her Manana Leila and told her that she had arrived. After talking on the telephone, she brought all the suitcases into the bedroom. Ten minutes later Rebornstar woke up. They made dinner together and ate. When dinner was completed, they cleaned up the kitchen and dining room, organized their clothes in the closet and drawers, and took showers. Before Rebornstar went to sleep Lily-Butterfly told her a bed-time story. A re-cycled story that was repeatedly told to Lily-Butterfly by Manana Leila when she was a child. Rebornstar went to sleep in Manana Leila’s bed. Lily-Butterfly chose the pull-out couch in the living room as her bed. She dressed up the pull-out couch and pillow, with clean sheets and pillowcase. Lily-Butterfly wrote in her journal and laid down. Tiredness from the day’s journey and her current life’s experiences percolated within her whole body. Lily-Butterfly prayed and reflected on her life’s story. Gradually sleep arrived and transported her to dream land.

Lily-Butterfly had a dream in which a five feet cricket with a lamp came up to her, while she slept. The cricket said, well done. Stay strong and aware. Stay free and be wise. You have transitioned to the next level and foundation of awakening to remember, your chosen destiny. You are not alone. As if awake in her dream Lilly-Butterfly smiled at what the cricket said.

The next morning Rebornstar and Lily-Butterfly woke up feeling more refreshed from their night’s sleep. They had breakfast, cleaned up the kitchen, and the rest of the apartment. When this was completed Lily-Butterfly wrote her dream in her journal. They both got dressed and left the apartment. Lily-Butterfly took Rebornstar to the park. Next, they visited some stores and had lunch at a restaurant. Before Lily-Butterfly returned to the apartment she bought a newspaper. Arriving back at the apartment Lily-Butterfly looked through the classified section for a job, and Rebornstar took a nap. This day continued with Lily-Butterfly usual activities, including dinner, showers, story time, journal, prayer, reflecting, contemplating, going to sleep, and waking up to a new sunrise and day.

The first thing Lily-Butterfly did after breakfast and clean up, was to telephone the Immigration Lawyer to schedule an appointment to file for her and Rebornstar permanent resident visa application. For the rest of this day and week, Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar visited in the town of Somerville, parks, shopping plazas, and restaurants. They also took the bus and train to downtown Boston and Harvard Square. On Saturday morning Manana Leila came home to her apartment. They went with Manana clothes and food shopping, attended church, went to the park, and visited Manana’s half-brother and his family, who lived about three miles away in the same town. At 6:00 AM on Monday morning Manana Leila traveled back to her full-time work. At 9:30 AM on this Monday morning Lily-Butterfly took Rebornstar with her to go to the Immigration Lawyer. Lily-Butterfly got all the information and documents she needed to file for her permanent resident visa application process.

Lily-Butterfly completed all the visa application. The following weekend when Manana Leila came home, Lily-Butterfly asked her to fill out the section that she was responsible for and sign the documents. Manana Leila gave Lily-Butterfly all the relevant documents that she needed to accompany the visa application. The following Monday Lily-Butterfly returned to the Lawyer with everything she needed for the visa application process. The Lawyer took the application and documents and did the visa filing process. Within one month the Lawyer contacted Lily-Butterfly to tell her that the permanent resident visa application was accepted by the Immigration and Naturalization Services, and she would be receiving a work permit within two months.

While Lily-Butterfly waited for the work permit she continued to look for a job in the classified section of the newspaper, do research on all her options for work, and reflected on how Rebornstar would fit into her work plans. Rebornstar was four and a half years old. She did not have the money to send her to preschool, and she might be working away from the town where she lived. During this time Lily-Butterfly also thought of returning to college or university to further her education.

Lily-Butterfly waited for the work permit, researched all her options, searched for work, research about further educational studies, prayed to be guided to the best choices and action, and reflected on her life from birth to the present time. Lily-Butterfly decided that until Rebornstar became of age to attend public school, taking a full-time live-in nanny childcare job that she could have Rebornstar live with her, was the best option. From Lily-Butterfly’s research she found out that she could not work in an office administrating job, because she did not have advance computer skills.

Lily-Butterfly focused her prayer on being guided to finding the best opportunity for a full-time live-in nanny childcare job opportunity. In addition to Lily-Butterfly’s everyday activities, she surrendered into every moment of her intention and heart’s desires, prayed, weeded through all the nanny childcare job advertisements, took action, prepared, and read books. With contentment Lily-Butterfly grounded into the perception of her intention and new life’s journey.

    2

There is no secret in this Universe. The spirit of every human, records everything known and unknown. The spirit’s records as a program and system is called the soul records, and, or Akashic records. The mind is the container of the spirit’s information and navigational system. The body is the home of the spirit. Everything is energy and energy is everything. The spirit is like an individual intelligent energy computer or machine. The spirit of every human is interconnected to every other spirit in its energy level vibration. Every human is responsible for the role they perform in all their experiences. Lily-Butterfly knows this and chooses to communicate in a direct, focused, and compassionate manner, that some people might find abrupt. Lily-Butterfly chooses mindfully how she participate in the things and people she attracts. She looks below the surface of things, because most things are not like they seem. Lily-Butterfly knows that not everything she attracts is necessarily positive, useful, and that everything is for a positive and, or negative reason. Based on the karma guidelines of free will, it is the individual’s responsibility to release things perceived not for their greater good. Choice is one of the powers of every human creation. When choice is not used by an individual, they resort to complain, victim, and blaming.

The second week in August the work permit arrived for Lily-Butterfly. The first week in September Lily-Butterfly saw a job for live-in nanny childcare that appealed to her intention. The job was for taking care of two children. Lily-Butterfly called the telephone number in the newspaper. She talked to the woman Susan who answered the telephone. Lily-Butterfly informed Susan that she had a four and a half years old daughter that would attend the interview with her, if they gave her the job her daughter would have to live with her as well, and be a part of the job agreement and arrangement. Susan informed Lily-Butterfly that she and her husband were both Lawyers, and that her husband Jeff would be present at the interview. The telephone call was like a mini interview where things that they both needed to consider was expressed. Susan promised to take Lily-Butterfly’s daughter living with her into consideration. The appointment was scheduled for an interview. Susan gave Lily-Butterfly her home address.

Lily-Butterfly researched how she would get to Susan’s home which was in Newton, Massachusetts. Her journey to Susan was, taking the bus from Manana Leila’s apartment to the nearest train station. This train would take her to downtown Boston where she would change trains to go to Newton Center. From Newton Center she would take a taxi to Susan and Jeff’s home. Manana Leila worked in Newton as well.

Until the day of the appointment arrive Lily-Butterfly prayed to the Creator for a positive outcome of the nanny childcare job, guidance into making the best decision about this job opportunity, create a home school program for teaching Rebornstar until she was ready to attend kindergarten in public school, how she would manage taking care of Rebornstar at work without conflict of interest, and writing about all of these plans and awareness in her journal.

Monday, the day of the interview arrived Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar got dressed and left Manana Leila’s apartment, for the unknown journey to the interview. They took the bus to the train, changed trains in downtown Boston, and arrived at Newton Center. They took the taxi from Newton Center to the address given to her by Susan. As the taxi drove along Lily-Butterfly was amazed at the vastness of the homes. They look like castles. Lily-Butterfly arrived at Jeff and Susan’s home fifteen minutes early. Lily-Butterfly paid the taxi driver, got out of the car, and rang the house doorbell.

This is the biggest house I have seen so far. I look like a large castle, mumbled Lily-Butterfly.

The door opened and Susan and Jeff were standing inside the doorway. They greeted one another.

Welcome Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar. It is nice to see you, said Susan. Come in.

Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar entered the home. The first room they entered was the kitchen.

Come this way. Over here. We are going to the office. The children are in the playroom next to the office. Follow me, instructed Susan.

Lily-Butterfly, Rebornstar, and Jeff, followed Susan. They arrived at the large office. There was a large table with eight chairs. They each sat down on the chairs where there were four empty glasses, and a large jug of water.

Jeff spoke first. The children are next door in the playroom. Josh is three years old and Sue is two months old. We are Lawyers and we work together. We have a law firm just the two of us and an Office Manager. Sometimes we work from home. We do not have the best parent skills. We would like to hire someone that can take complete responsibility for taking care of the children Mondays to Saturdays – 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, off every Sunday, and off every other Saturday as well. So, two complete weekends off per month and every Sunday off per month. You would receive ten vacation days off per year. Do you have a permanent resident visa or work permit? Here is an application for you to fill out. Is it okay for me to take your daughter to the nursery to play with Josh? She does not need to be a part of this interview.

Yes. Rebornstar can go play with Josh. Thank you. I have a work permit, and I have filed my application for a permanent resident visa.

Okay. Please fill out this application I will be back. I am going to check on the children, said Jeff.

Jeff left the room. Susan sat looking at Lily-Butterfly. Lily-Butterfly filled out the application. When she was finish, she gave the application to Susan. Jeff returned.

The baby is sleeping, Josh, and Rebornstar are playing with toys while they watch cartoons, said Jeff.

Susan read the application and gave it to Jeff.

With a twinkle in her eyes Susan said, Lily-Butterfly you are overqualified for his job, and you will not stay. You can find a job in an office as an Administrative Assistant or Office Manager. Do you have any professional childcare and housekeeping experiences?

I have housekeeping and child care experiences working on a small family farm until six years old, working in a housekeeping capacity for a lady on the island of Kawomaya, from a young age taking care of one sister, and two brothers, and my personal experiences taking care of my own home and daughter. I think I am overqualified in childcare and housekeeping experiences as well. Currently, I choose this kind of job, because of the well-being of my daughter and not having advance computer skills. If I decide to take this job and you choose to hire me, you will both see the exceptional quality of my work.

    Jeff remained silent and observant.

As Jeff said the workdays are long, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You will have Sue two months old, Josh three years old, and your daughter four and a half years old to manage and take care of. Do you think that you can really manage all these children, cook, for them, light housekeeping, and everything else? Light housekeeping means do everything for the children from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, cook, laundry, tidy their rooms, clean up after them, and organize all their rooms – nursery - playrooms. Plus, take them to the park, read them stories, play with them, give them each a bath before bed, and so forth. Basically, you are being hired as a paid parent. We come home from work at about 7:00 to 7:30 PM. At least one of us will be home by 7:00 PM. When we get home the children should be in their rooms and prepared for sleep. We will spend time with the children before work and when you are off from work. Unless we choose to do otherwise. We are asking you to commit to staying at least two years minimum. The pay for living here and taking care of two children is $800 per week. But because you are going to bring your daughter to live here, we are going to subtract from this $800, rent and food for her. We will pay you only $350 per week. Daily you and your daughter can eat all you like, and make our house your home. Lily-Butterfly do you understand? said Susan.

Yes, I understand. Yes, I can manage the three children and everything the job requires, and more. I would like to be paid $450 per week. This is a big job and very large house to navigate. The quality of the job I am going to have to perform is worth the $800 per week even with having my daughter being with me. I can see and sense the stress of this job, being here, and taking care of the two children. My daughter Rebornstar will not be an issue. She is already trained, I will create a plan to manage her outside my time with your children, and I will spend quality time with her before and after work; just like going to regular job. I think my biggest issue will be both of you. I do not know directly how or why. But my intuition is telling me this. I am not afraid of work. Do you both understand me?

I see. We must think about the counteroffer of $450 per week. Five people from a cleaning company come in twice per week to get the complete house clean. They clean half on Wednesdays and return to do the other half on Fridays. We do all the food shopping. Susan’s parents own a chain of department stores. Sometimes they come to spend the weekend and vacation here. If they are here during the time they are here, you will have to work around them. We truly suck as being parents. You will see. Therefore, having the right person for this job is important. We love our children, but are not equipped with parental skills. Okay? said Jeff.

Lily-Butterfly said, I hear what you are both saying. There must be a second interview. There will be a lot for me to process before saying yes to taking this job.

I agree, replied Susan. Same for us.

Lily-Butterfly replied, where is the current Nanny? What date would I start working? Can I have a tour of the house before I leave today? I need to take this into consideration as well. Are there any food restriction for the children? What is the living accommodation for Rebornstar and I?

Susan replied, the last Nanny quit without notice. She was overwhelmed by everything. This is a very responsible job. It can be difficult and requires a lot of patience and compassion; I mean understanding. Yes, we will give you a quick tour of the house. The children do not have any food allergies or restrictions. At your second interview you can take another look at the complete house. It is getting late and the baby might wake up. You and Rebornstar will live in a two bedroom apartment on the other side of the house. This section of the house has a two bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. This apartment is completely furnished with everything you will need, everything. You would start working next week Monday to Saturday. Have Sunday off. We need a break. Since the last Nanny quit, we have been taking care of the children ourselves. We have no patience for parenthood and children stuff. We really suck in every way at parenting our children. We love our children and want to have them. But we are not interested in the messy parts of parenting. We are not born for parenting detail activities. We say this to give you the right view on how responsible this job will be. Lily-Butterfly do you have any further comments or questions? I must go make lunch for the children, before Sue wakes up and starts screaming. She is a screamer. Her screaming makes me feel crazy. My husband will take you on the house tour. Come back on Thursday of this week for the second interview, 10:00 AM should be good. Okay.

Okay. There will be a lot for me to think about and digest. Mr. Jeff let us go on the tour.

Okay Lily-Butterfly let us go, said Jeff.

Thank you. I will be in the kitchen. Lily-Butterfly I will see you before you leave, said Susan.

Two and a half hours had gone by and the glasses and jug were empty of water.

With Jeff leading the way, the house tour began downstairs in the pool room on the right side of the house. This room was the full length of this side of the house. A large rectangular pool was in the center of the room, lounge chairs, kitchen, a bar, and three bathrooms with tubs, two toilet rooms, and showers. This section of the house also had a steam room, gym, sauna, game room, theatre, pool table, and slot machines. In this section all the entrance doors were always locked, and the keys kept in a box high up on the wall. Next, they went to the guest room area. There was a completely furnished guest two bedroom apartment, which included a kitchen, dining room, living room, and large bathroom. The large office with a nursery inside Lily-Butterfly had already seen. It was the room they had the meeting in. Next to this office was the large nursery and playroom. Next there was a large formal dining room with a large dining table with twelve chairs. Beside this room was a small kitchen, a living room, and a half bathroom, with toilet and hand washing sink. There was a 1,200 square feet kitchen with a dining area within. This was at the back entrance of the house. A mud room was outside the kitchen entrance. On entering the house from the outside the mudroom was the first room. This entrance was used as the main entrance by everyone daily. In a large circular driveway, two luxury cars were parked outside this entrance and exit. There was also a five-car garage, standalone building on the opposite side of the circular driveway. A children’s playground equipped with a jungle gym, two slides, three swings, and a tree house. This playground was on the right side of the garage.

In the basement was a very large laundry room with three washers and three dryers, a large food pantry, a room with two extra freezers and two extra refrigerators, a storage room for household equipment, wine cellar, and a large two bedroom apartment with no furniture. Last, they went to the third floor of the house where their bedrooms and the nanny’s living quarters were. Going up two flight of stairs the first section on the left, was a door. Beyond the door was a hallway to the nanny’s apartment. To the right was a hallway that lead to five bedrooms. The first two bedrooms were for Sue and Josh. Inside their bedrooms were bathrooms and large closets. Across the hallway from the children’s room was a large playroom with toys and a linen closet. Next, the hallway continued, and at the end was a large wooden door that separated the children’s area from the rest of the floor. Opening this door and entering this area was three bedrooms. The largest room was the master bedroom. It was in the very extreme end of this section. Inside the master bedroom were two large bathrooms with tubs, and two walk-in closets. On each side of the master bedroom was two other bedrooms and a furnished living room, with leather couches and other furniture. One bedroom was used as an extra closet. The other bedroom was filled with clothes from the floor to almost the ceiling. Lily-Butterfly inquired about the room filled with clothes from floor to ceiling. Jeff told her that they were dirty clothes they did not have time to wash, they were good clothes, they did not want to throw such good clothes away, over the many years the dirty clothes pile up, when they ran out of clothes they would just go buy more clothes, and they did not want to pay someone to wash so much dirty clothes. The cleaning company that cleans the house does not have a laundry service.

After seeing Jeff and Susan’s bedroom section of the house Lily-Butterfly felt totally drained and exhausted. They went back downstairs to the kitchen.

Please, can I have a glass of water and a lemon? asked Lily-Butterfly.

    Sure. Help yourself, replied Susan.

Susan was feeding the baby milk from a bottle and Josh was eating his lunch. Lily-Butterfly made some lemon with water. She drank some and gave some to Rebornstar.

Lily-Butterfly said, Susan and Jeff I am leaving now. I will process this interview. If I choose to not return for the second interview on Thursday, I will telephone you.

We will process this interview. If we change our minds about you coming to work for us, we will call you to cancel the appointment, and inform you about our decision, said Jeff.

    Yes, said Susan.

Thank you for today’s interview. Can I use your telephone to call the taxi?

    Yes. Sure, replied Susan.

    Lily-Butterfly called the taxi.

Bye and thanks again, said Lily-Butterfly.

Thank you. You are welcome. Bye, said Jeff and Susan.

Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar went outside to wait for the taxi. The taxi came and took them to Newton Center train station. They had lunch at a restaurant before taking the train. After lunch Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar journeyed back to Manana Leila’s apartment in Somerville. By the time they had arrived home it was 5:00 PM.

Monday night, Tuesday, and Wednesday Lily-Butterfly processed her interview experiences, telephoned Manana Leila to seek guidance and second opinion about the job, journaled, prayed, wrote down the positives and negatives about the job, and the possible consequences of this nanny childcare job. The processing made her feel extra drained and thirsty. By Wednesday night Lily-Butterfly had decided to return for the second interview on Thursday.

Lily-Butterfly’s last thought before she fell asleep on Wednesday night was, I need to work, this seems like the path I must take for whatever reason, the job will not be easy at first, sink or swim, this is the way, and the way will show the way. This job also supports the wellbeing of Rebornstar. This is the most important reason to take this job.

Lost in her contemplation Lily-Butterfly drifted off to sleep, like a dry leaf on a slanted river.

    3

One road lead to another. Most times the destination cannot be visible until you get to it. Sometimes when things do not seem to make sense is when it makes the most sense. Seeing beyond the surface takes courage, choice, responsibility, action, readiness, and so on.

On Thursday morning Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar returned to Jeff and Susan’s house. Jeff, Susan, and Lily-Butterfly sat in the same room as before. Rebornstar went to play with Josh, and Sue was sleeping in her crib.

Jeff spoke first, Lily-Butterfly we have decided to give you the job if you choose to take it.

Yeah. Lily-Butterfly, what have you decided? said Susan.

I have decided to take the job. Thank you.

You will start working on Monday. We have decided to pay you $500 instead of the $450 you requested per week. I suggest that you come back here on Saturday at 3:00 PM to move in, clean the apartment how you would like it, organize your things, and yourselves into your apartment. This way you are ready to start work on Monday morning at 8:00 AM. Bring all your clothes and things that you will both need for next week. Gradually you can bring more of your things here, and so, on and so, forth. We would really like to have you come take care of our children. I called all your references and the Personnel Director of your last job on the island of Kawomaya. They said great things about you. We are lucky to have you work for us. Have you decided to commit to minimum two years working here? said Susan.

Yes. I will commit to only two years. After two years I will be returning to the University and my daughter will be going to kindergarten in public school. Thank you for deciding to pay me $500 per week. As time goes on you will see that my efficiency and the quality of my work is worth over $800 per week. Anyway, please explain to me again my work responsibilities, time of work, living in arrangements for my daughter and myself, food situation, and all the other things I should be aware of, said Lily-Butterfly.

Jeff and Susan explained everything as Lily-Butterfly requested. After this conversation and everyone was satisfied Lily-Butterfly was given tax information to fill out.

Please fill out this tax and paycheck information. You will receive your paycheck every Friday, starting next week Friday. On Saturday mornings you can go to Newton Center to cash your check. The account connected to your paycheck is at this bank. You can also open an account at this bank, or whatever bank you like, said Jeff.

Thank you for the bank information. Here are the forms I have filled out. Can I meet the children today? said Lily-Butterfly.

Sure. Sue is sleeping. Come into the playroom next door. You can look at her and see Josh, said Jeff.

Jeff, Susan, and Lily-Butterfly went to see the children. Jeff and Susan talked to Rebornstar. When the adults were finished with the children introduction, they all went back to the meeting room.

Lily-Butterfly, what do you think so far? Do you have any more questions or comments? asked Jeff.

Jeff and Susan, this job will take lots of love, kindness, care, and passion about taking care of children, multitasking, patience, managerial skills, and dedication. Plus, every skill you can think of, and not think of, is needed for this job. I will also let you know that things here are more than they seem on the surface. As time goes on the things will reveal themselves to me. I will work with these things as they reveal themselves. I will try my best to keep my two years promise and commitment no matter what happens. Thank you very much for agreeing to have my daughter come live here with me as a part of this arrangement. I really appreciate this. Thank you very much for everything else. I will surely learn to practice all my talents from working here. I will do my best, said Lily-Butterfly.

Thank you too. You are welcome. You come highly recommended, as a professional, trustworthy, dependable, self-motivated, integrity, direct, focus, organized, and everything else that is positive. You are more than nanny qualified and we are lucky to have you. Our only concern is that because you are overqualified for this job, you might not stay when you experience all the difficulties of this job. Working here can be overwhelming and exhausting. This is our home and children and we feel crazy from being here. You will see what I am talking about, said Susan.

I already have a sense of what you are talking about. My experiences will give me the reality of this job and living here. I promise to stay here for maximum two years. My words and promise are my bond of commitment. We have met for many reasons. As time goes on and to the end of two years, we will see the benefits and reasons of this connection. Okay. Time will tell. Until then let us have positive faith and hope for the best, said Lily-Butterfly.

Lily-Butterfly, you seem spiritual, said Susan.

Yes, I am spiritual. And the Creator is my shepherd, guardian, guide, and teacher. Okay.

    I see, replied Susan.

I noticed a very stinky smell upstairs by the children’s room, in your section of the upstairs, and when I opened the refrigerator to get a lemon. Where are these smells coming from? said Lily-Butterfly.

I think it is the dirty diapers in the garbage can. We do not empty the diaper garbage can until it cannot fit anymore diapers. Plus, the room of dirty clothes smells. We are like slobs and we do not mind stank, musty, and stinky smells. You can fix the stinky smells if you do not like them. Do whatever you like within this house to feel comfortable and at home. We also welcome positive changes. This is good for the children. The refrigerator has left over food from only God he knows when. The fridge has not been cleaned since we bought it ten years ago. The cleaning company does not do laundry, clean inside refrigerators, and empty garbage cans. And like I said we do not mind the mess, stinky smells, dirt, and so forth, said Susan.

Okay. I see. Same situation with your luxury cars. There is milk stains, ketchup, mustard, other dirt, and food on the glass. Plus, garbage and clutter piled up inside. I do not have to be nosey to see this situation. Why do I mention these things? I am going to be here as you have said as a paid parent for the children, everything both of you do, and do not do, affects the children. So, I recommend that you both consider taking your cars to the car detailed place to get cleaned inside and outside. One thing can affect the other thing. Everything is connected. Your actions as parents affects your children’s psychological health, mental health, well-being, stability, contentment, happiness, and so on. Mr. Jeff and Mrs. Susan, do you understand what I am trying to say? The things that you might find negative about me is my directness, no-nonsense attitude – which might make me seem abrupt, and my awareness on Holistic views. Everything is connected. And one thing affects the other things, and so forth, said Lily-Butterfly.

We understand. Therefore, we choose you. We and our children need straightening out. We will try our best to transform our negative ways, attitude, and actions. On Saturday we will take both cars to the car cleaners and take out all the clutter out of the car, put the things in garbage bags, and put them in the basement. Thank you for everything, said Jeff.

I agree with everything you say Lilly-Butterfly. I will do my best with maintaining the positive vibes that you bring here to share with us. We will try to appreciate and maintain what we can, said Susan.

Thank you for your support and permission to do whatever it will take to get my job done, and to feel comfortable living here. This way my commitment of working here for two years is more possible. Is there anything else I should know? said Lily-Butterfly.

Sue fusses a lot and she likes to scream. She seems miserable if she is awake. Josh has gotten use to us over the years and he is nervous. Josh plays alone a lot. We do not like to entertain our children in any way or play with them. We love to entertain ourselves with food, wine, and other things. We are not the skinny and eat healthy type. Please leave me a grocery shopping list every Friday of foods you would like us to buy for you, and the children. If there is anything else to tell one another we can do so as the days go on. Hmm. Um. Is there anything else? I must go prepare the children’s lunch. If I do not give Sue her bottle the minute, she opens her eyes she will scream until I do. Her screaming drives me crazy, said Susan.

No, for now, I do not have anything else to say, reply Lily-Butterfly. Oh, I almost forgot to ask both of you to open all the windows in this house between now and Saturday, to let in fresh air. The oxygen in this house is nonexistent and stagnant. I can hardly breathe. I am used to breathing fresh air and this is good for the children’s health and well-being. I do not like stressful environment. I think that is it for now. Okay.

Thank you. We will open all the windows on one floor, each day. You are right. We need this straightening out. All the things you have said and not said is part of why Nannies get overwhelmed and quit. In three years, we have had seven Nannies quit without notice. Oh my. They did not have what it takes to show us what was needed. Thanks very much. Keep being direct with us, some things we just do not know. We look forward to seeing you return on Saturday, said Jeff.

Yes. I cannot wait. I feel so stressed and overwhelmed. This is our life and children and we cannot quit and run away. We cannot wait for you to take over the responsibility of the children; more for their sake. See you and your daughter on Saturday at 3:00 PM, said Susan.

Okay. Jeff and Susan, I understand. Can I use the telephone to call the taxi?

Sure. Use the telephone whenever you like. Our home is now your home, for as long as you are here, and choose to stay. We welcome you and your daughter with open arms, said Susan.

Lily-Butterfly used the telephone to call the taxi.

Bye Jeff and Susan. Rebornstar and I are going outside to wait for the taxi. We will see you on Saturday at 3:00 PM. Hang in there, said Lily-Butterfly.

Bye. And thanks again. See you both soon, replied Jeff and Susan.

When Lily-Butterfly got back to the apartment she telephoned Manana Leila to tell her about taking the job, that she would be leaving on Saturday to go back to the house, and all the other details. They planned about seeing each other on the weekends. Manana Leila also told Lily-Butterfly that her pay arrangement was great, because she is getting fifty dollars per week from 1972 to the present time. For this pay Manana Leila lived in the house, took care of six children over the years, and did housekeeping as well. No pay raise since 1972. She makes fifty cents per hour and sometimes less depending on how many hours she worked per day. And Manana Leila always had money to share with Lily-Butterfly, Ms. Gina, and the other people. Manana Leila never said no to financially helping when asked or not. Her Social Security payments subsidize her pay. This for Manana Leila was like working for free with an allowance. And Manana Leila was grateful for everything.

Thursday night before Lily-Butterfly went to sleep she wrote in her journal the story of her job interview experience and she prayed as usual.

Lily-Butterfly prayed, Creator thank you for everything that was done to assist with my job searching and finding the job situation that is best for me at this time. I can already see that this is another school experience on my spirit and soul journey to awaken and practice my talents. How exactly are my experiences going to show up? As usual, only time will tell. I must continue to remind myself that, by choice, what does not kill me can possibly make me stronger. The way will show the way. One road leads to another. This spirit and soul journey of awakening and growth is not an easy quest. Please continue to remember me in your busy and multidimensional infinite work schedule. Amin.

That weekend Manana Leila came home to her apartment. Saturday, they had a great time enjoying breakfast and lunch together. All the things Lily-Butterfly had decided to take with her was gathered by the front door of the apartment. They said goodbye to Manana Leila and left. At 1:35 PM Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar took a taxi from Manana Leila’s apartment straight to Jeff and Susan’s home.

Stepping into the unknown can be uneasy. Surrendering and taking a leap of faith can be a very uneasy feeling as well. Why do I write in detailed fashion? My writing style can assist with expressing imagination, visualization, exercise the human – mind, emotions, improve brain function, and thinking abilities, take people to places out of their normal human perception, create a visual of the events in the story, teach patience, and this is the way my ancient ancestors told stories in the valley and village of Yaj, on the island of Kawomaya. At the time of my ancestors’ ancient story telling days, oral tradition was the way people teach and learn. My ancient ancestors had no books, television, electricity, radios, and so forth. So, the more expressive the story, the more the person could visualize the events of the story and bring things alive to every person’s visual perception and projection. Plus, storytelling and listening could be used as a healing tool. The tempo of the story can be like a dance, tango, rattle, drum beat, and, or any other primal tempo. Decide how this style may work for you or not.

At 3:15 PM Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar arrived at Jeff and Susan’s house. Lily-Butterfly paid the taxi driver. He helped her to bring all the things to the door. She presses the doorbell. Susan came to unlock and open the door.

Hi Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar. How are you doing? Welcome, said Susan.

We are doing great. Thank you for having us, replied Lily-Butterfly.

Lily-Butterfly and Rebornstar entered the room carrying their things and
