    PREFACE

I am putting pen to paper because I feel that everyone needs to know that God is there, and he is listening. People need hope, because if hope dies the soul dies. This book is dedicated to all those who seek answers to life's most important questions: Does God exist? Are Angels real? Is there life after death? In this first book, I will answer these questions plus many more. The information in this book was written from the notes I have collected from my ongoing conversations with God, Jesus and the Angels in my life. I purposely refrained from reading anything that pertained to the subjects in my book. I did this so that I would not be influenced by anything outside of my conversations with God, Jesus and my angels. This book is for those who open their minds to seek answers and are not afraid of the answers they may find. It is for those who question life and why we are here. Not everyone who reads this book will agree or like some of the information given, which is their choice. Nevertheless, it will make you think and ask questions: after all that is what life is all about. This book is dedicated to my grandmother Edith Vonda Palmer. She encouraged me to have an open mind, question everything and was a source of unending love and patience.

    Chapter 1: MY BEGINNING

Do Angels really exist and if so, what is their message for us? That question has intrigued humankind for thousands of years. Until a short time ago, I only knew that I believed in angels, but now I know that they really do exist.

I have lived on a three acre farm in rural Oregon with my husband and son for over 22 years. I have been a nurse for over thirty-five years and a psychic all my life. The medical side of me is always looking for the logical answers to everything. The psychic in me is always conscious of the spiritual and paranormal side of things. With one foot in each world it is sometimes difficult for me to remain objective. Over the years I have learned to balance the two parts of me so that each side plays a part in all situations. When the issue is one of medicine I have a tendency to start with the logical part of me then move on to the psychic part of me. I have found that having a medical background is a great asset in the healing work that I do. Very few of the doctors that I’ve worked with over the years have included spirituality into their practice. Most of them put science first and spirituality second if at all. It is my opinion that physicians need to address the spiritual side of the patient in addition to the physical and mental side. This form of holistic practice is becoming more prevalent in growing field of alternative medicine. More people are beginning to see the benefit of using energy healing well as spiritual healing. People are turning to more natural fields of healing such as kinesiology, Rikki therapy, Chelation therapy and naturopathic medicine. I have noticed an increase in herbal use, meditation, yoga, past life regression therapy and biofeedback.

I work four to five days a week in a doctor’s office and spend 2-3 evenings a week doing healing and readings. I have been in nursing for many years and as much as I have enjoyed it, I have come to a point in my life where medicine no longer inspires or fulfills me. Medicine is no longer just medicine, the insurance companies’ control what kind of treatment of patient receives or if the patient receives treatment at all. For them it becomes the bottom line is no longer about the patient it is monetarily motivated. When I started in medicine over 35 years ago it was because of my need to help people heal. You used to be able to spend quality time with your patients now everything is hurry up get them in and out. I spend more time doing paperwork such as getting prior authorization as for medications, treatments and referrals to outside physicians instead of treating and talking to patients. It is now that I wish to continue to improve my gifts, help others and serve God. Over the last 18 years I have learned to use the gift of spiritual healing to heal those that god sends to me. It is very fulfilling for me to see these people whom god heals through me get better.

A lot people have heard of psychic healing where the practitioner may use the patient’s own energy or sometimes the practitioner’s energy for healing the patient. Almost everyone has heard of the laying on of hands healing. This laying on of hands is actually a form of spiritual healing, like prayer. In both faith is paramount to the actual healing outcome, without faith there can be no healing. The healing that I do is spiritual healing, god uses me as a kind of conduit for his healing powers. I am only a go between, nothing more, without him I only have my medical training to help heal people

A lot of times psychic abilities are handed down from one generation to another as is the case in my family. The abilities that are inherited may not be exactly the same or if the degree to which the person has them. I am descended from a long line of gifted light workers, women with both psychic and spiritual gifts. We are of Scottish, Irish and American Indian descent. These gifts have always been prevalent in the females in our family. My sixth great-grandmother, Katherine, had what the Irish call the sight. She had the ability to see the future and a gift for healing utilizing plants. My fourth great-grandmother Kathleen came to America from Ireland and fell in love with a young Cherokee man with the surname of Wolf. He was a shaman and was descended from many great Cherokee medicine men and had the ability to heal. My grandmother, Edith, told me that when she was a young child her mother, Martha, would tell her stories about Katherine, Hannah and Kathleen. Martha told her when Katherine was a small child living in Ireland, the fairies, (also known as elementals they are creatures of the earth), came often to visit her. They taught her how to heal by using plants to make medicines. They also taught her how to harness the energy that flowed from the earth. She would lay hands on people and heal their physical ailments. The fairies told Katherine that she would always have God’s ear and that all of her female descendants would receive gifts of their own so that they may serve Him. Kathleen was also gifted with the sight as well as being a medium. These two gifted people had three children, one girl and two boys. The girl’s name was Hannah Catherine and the boy’s names were Charles and John. Only Hannah received the spiritual gifts, but her brothers were gifted in business. Hannah was an empath, as well as being able to communicate with animals. She also had mediumistic abilities which she struggled with for years to control.

My great-grandmother, Martha, could see and hear earthbound spirits. Earthbound spirits are those souls that remain on the plane closest to the physical world. These spirits have not completed the journey to the other side because of either how they died, (traumatic or violent), or they feel they have left something undone or do not want to leave a loved one. Martha spent most of her life trying to help them by delivering their messages to those left behind. She learned early to hide her gifts for fear of being labeled as crazy. In those days if they thought you were crazy, they would lock you away in a mental institution for the rest of your life. Her daughter, Edith, started experiencing visions and prophetic dreams, as a young girl. She had the ability to sense the presence of spirits and to communicate with them. Martha taught her how to tell the good spirits from the dark ones and how to protect herself. She warned her not to tell anyone about these abilities, because they would not understand, and would think that she was crazy.

My grandmother, Edith, did not look upon her gifts as a burden but as something to use to help people. In her youth, séances were very popular and her family was quite well off. She was invited to many parties where the focal point of the party would be a séance. Edith was smart enough to know that if she went to these parties, she should leave either before the séance began, or go outside. She knew that these people should not be playing with things, which they knew nothing about. These people saw a séance as a game or a way to scare their friends, never seeing the real possibility of opening a door and inviting something dark into our world. There is always the real danger of possession associated any séance, but when you have people who do not know what they are doing, you are asking for trouble. As a young woman, Edith was very out-going, gutsy and headstrong. She would take on challenges that would have sent other women running.

Let me give you an example of one such challenge: In the town where she was living in Atchison, Kansas, there was a house that was rumored to be the most haunted in the town. Atchison Kansas is proclaimed to be the most haunted town in Kansas. The town of Atchison is so haunted that the Travel Channel has done a special segment called Haunted Town that depicts many of the haunted places in Atchison including Sallie's House, Benedictine College and more.

One night she was out with a few friends and one of them suggested going to the house to see if the rumors were true. They drove over to the house and one of the young men jimmied the lock on the front door. The moment Edith arrived at the house she could sense an evil presence. She took a moment by herself and silently asked for God’s protection before entering the house. Everyone started exploring the house, but Edith remained close to the door. She could feel the presence watching them. It was plain that none of the others was aware of the presence, and since she did not want them or the entity to know of her abilities, she said nothing. A sudden flurry of activity seemed to move through the house. Books and papers were flying off shelves; objects were thrown across the room. One of the girls in her party screamed, saying she saw something black moving across the room.

Distancing herself from the others, Edith closed her eyes and opened her senses, trying to locate the presence. After a moment or two, she opened her eyes and found herself drawn to the second floor landing. Slowly climbing the stairs, she could feel the entity watching her. As she reached the landing, the presence she had felt earlier manifested itself in the form of a black shadowy figure. Drawing a deep breath, she confronted the entity and asked, In the name of God, what do you want? She knew that the entity would either answer the question or disappear from walking the earth. There was no answer instead; the black shadowy form disappeared before her eyes. With the disappearance of the entity, Edith could feel a lightening of the atmosphere in the house. She never returned to the house, and shortly after that, she moved to Chicago.

My son has inherited some abilities that are the same as mine and some that I do not possess. He is the last direct descendant in my line, as my brothers had no children; he has inherited many gifts which he is just beginning to become aware of. It can be very difficult growing up with gifts and knowing that you are different from everyone else. If you do not have someone who understands how to help you through when you first become aware of these abilities, it can be very confusing and frightening. My son and I were lucky in the way that we had someone who understood and helped us learn about our abilities and how to use them. In order to understand what I do, you will need to understand a little about my background and my journey of self-discovery.

I have included below, some personal background on my life so that you can better understand what my early life and the years after were like.

My start in life was not an exceptional one, almost from the moment of my conception, I was unwanted by my mother. My mother Anna was fourteen when she met my real father, Gerald; he was twenty-one. She was fifteen when she married him because she thought she was pregnant. It turned out that she was not but shortly thereafter she did become pregnant with my older sister, Ann. Being the baby of the family, Anna was stubborn, headstrong and spoiled. She hated school and ran wild with her brothers most of the time. When she ran away and married my father, she was in for a shock. He was physically, mentally and emotionally abusive to her. According to Edith, my mother was always a little unpredictable, swinging from one mood to the other in the blink of an eye. Back in the forties and fifties, they did not really know about bi-polar behavior and therefore it was never diagnosed. I think that my mother’s bi-polar behavior became more pronounced after the abuse and stress that she endured at the hands of my father.

My older sister Ann died at not quite two months of age. My mother to this day does not actually know the cause of my sister’s death. She only knows what the doctors told her, that the baby died from a blood clot in the brain. Once Edith crossed over, she was able to explain to me what actually caused Ann’s death. She said that my mother had walked to the store and left the baby with my father. The baby started to cry and she would not stop crying, so my father hit her in the head with his fist to stop her from crying. That is when the blood clot began to form.

Over the next few weeks my mother, unaware of what had taken place, noticed Ann sleeping a lot and took her to see a county doctor. The doctor examined Ann and told her there was nothing wrong with the baby. Two weeks later my mother awoke to find Ann dead beside her in the bed. My father accused her of rolling on the baby in her sleep and smothering her. Not long after Ann’s death, my mother had a prophetic dream. She dreamt that she was rocking a baby in a cradle; later that month she found out, she was pregnant with my older brother, Shane.

My father, Gerald, was mentally unstable and continued his abuse on my older brother and mother. He and my mother drove eighteen-wheelers from Los Angeles to Bakersfield on a regular basis before Ann was born. Once Shane was born, Gerald went on the road by himself. When Anna found out a year and a half later that she was pregnant with me, she fled from Bakersfield and my father. She took my bother while my father was on the road and went to stay with her half-sister in San Francisco. She was four and a half months pregnant, without a job and had a small child to care for.

She filed for divorce in 1958. In the state of California in 1958, you could not legally divorce if the woman was pregnant. She obviously knew she was pregnant but did not care nor did she tell her lawyer. She found work as a nurse’s aide at St. Mary’s hospital. There she met Dr. Kay, whose wife could not have children. He offered to adopt the baby (me) she was carrying if the child was a boy. He made sure that my mother received good medical care during the pregnancy. At that time, there were no ultrasounds to find out what sex the baby was. Since I was born a girl, the doctor did not want to adopt me.

My mother made her way back to her parent’s home in Oregon shortly after my birth. When she arrived at her parent’s house, she told my grandparents that she was going to give me up for adoption, that Gerald was not the father of her baby. My grandmother told me that she took one look at me and knew that she was lying. She made up her mind then and there that she would not let me be given up for adoption. My mother wanted to return to San Francisco, she had an offer of a job working for the phone company. Edith told her that she would take care of the children while she returned to San Francisco. My mother was more than happy to leave us behind and return to her life in San Francisco.

I was fortunate enough to have had my grandparent’s absolute love in my life. My grandfather, Ray, was a giant of a man, full of love and a gentle kind of discipline. My grandmother, Edith, was a wonderful woman with an open mind, patience, plenty of love, and spiritual gifts. Until the time I was five years old I lived with my grandparents and my mother would come and go. As a young child, I communicated with animals, angels, guides and guardians daily. My grandmother encouraged me to keep communicating with these spiritual beings. Edith had a strong tie to her heritage and a psychic linage that goes back several generations. I will always remember and cherish her words of advice: Always keep an open mind, question everything and never take anything for granted. There is more within this world and the next than either you or I can know in this lifetime. I have lived by this advice, and it has led me to make many discoveries. I not only made discoveries about the world, but about myself, and my place in this world as well. Sadly, my grandfather departed from the physical world in September 1968 and my grandmother followed 11 years later in September 1979. Even though my grandparent’s physical bodies are gone, they are still present in my life. All I have to do is think of them and they are with me. I communicate with the other side telepathically; I hear them like I am talking to another person in the physical world.

Mom would periodically fly my grandmother and us kids down to San Francisco for the first year or so, and then she stopped. Except for an occasional visit she was noticeably absent over the next couple years. My grandmother noticed that my older brother, Shane, was getting harder to handle after each visit with my mother. He would take days to settle down after she left, crying, throwing tantrums and acting out. Anna was the only security he had known during the first two years of his life. We did not know it at the time, and would only find
