About this ebook

Preparing one’s soul to read something as emotional as the thoughts in one’s mind is nearly impossible. The thoughts become questioned and become continuous and collected. Attempt to prepare yourself for the emotions portrayed in these poems from the amorous and dejected nature that caused this writing. Reaching the words for explanatory emotions is up to attempt in every poem. It is not only observing the art in every word, but recognizing the emotion in each story. With a sad demeanor portrayed in this book, the endearment, and the flowers that depict an image, the book is divided into four chapters that contain the revealing of the poet’s disposition. The reasons to love, the failures of permanent happiness, distraught, the efflorescence of an individual, and the attempt to find peace from these things that try to overbear, are permanently displayed on the pages. Taste the words that each page speaks and take each thought into your own hands.

Author

Ivy Natera

The young author, Ivy Natera, was born in Garden Grove, California but raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Ivy is the youngest of two siblings whom pursue artistic & creative leisure interests. As a GCU college student, she has chosen the path in becoming a Physical Therapist. Though, her interest has also always lied in writing. Her former love for educational writing spiked a more passion-filled journey in writing poetry after being introduced to poetry books and spoken word. Since then it has not only grown, but has become an avocation. The soft-spoken writer shares vulnerabilities in her writing and the rawness in each poem. Ivy will continue her journey as a student and a writer as her ongoing passion.

    Division of Flowers

    Infatuation and Fixation

    Fervent desire

    Efflorescence of distraught

    A flower you are

    Lovers on a page

Written words on the desk full of sage

The open book now continues closed

    Singing flowers are no longer

    They’re worn and torn

Like the fiction in the words, we were

Nothing this mouth full of rage can contain but

the words in the book called Lovers on page

    It was never alive

    25.jpg

    I spin around for you

    My sweet, dear love

    How honey tastes like you

And how I’d run through the field of flowers

holding a bottle of honey just to get to you

    04.jpg

If the flowers feed you love

I will give you a garden

If you want another kind of love, a mask for you I’d wear

Here is all of me, only for you

If you want to dance, I’ll be the music

    I’m yours

If you want to go, I’ll take you in my hands

My love, if you need a lighter

    Flames of passion I’ll be

    Yes, for you, I will

If you have questions, answers will await you

And if you want a laugh, a clown for you I’d be

    Anything you desire will be

    Predicting you

Since you believe your game will build you into a character

    I see more than that

You taste like cinnamon and I hate cinnamon

Your car smells like new and the light in your room is too dim to see

    your insecurities

You want your mind to keep every photo you take inside

    like a memory album

But the only thing that holds you together is the company and the blunt

They speak to you more than you think the moments in the photos do

You convince others of this character

But all you are is the company and the blunt you hold so dearly

    Walk to me dearly

And I’ll do more than predict you

    Maybe I’ll hold you together

The psychological differences between you and I

They conform into the destructive windmill of time

Abusing the effective causes that destroy each other’s mind

Nothing gives into the fixation of this kind

Search for succor if in need

You and I, we will need it indeed

How can someone make your eyes melt with their lips

And have your ears explode with their laugh

I’ve learned that it’s possible to hear tender smiles

To taste exhaled breath under a nose

Touch a heart without blood in between fingers

But veins wrapped around your thighs

    Instead of your neck

Like the rope that’s pulling me towards their lips

    I lose myself trying
