Rhythms of Ease and Wonder
()
About this ebook
n stillness of deep awakening chants
rises immaculately with blooms defiant,
as the human heart opens
revealing a resplendent thousand-petalled lotus.
While growing up in a small, beautiful Guyanaese village perched on the tip of South America, Haimnauth Ramkirath became fascinated by the simplicity, rhythms, and beauty of nature. This love for the natural world is still one of the abiding joys of his life.
In a collection of poems that shines with the language and music of Tagore, the perceptive insight of Rumi, and the simplicity of well-known poets who have come before him, Ramkirath shares verse that presents vivid pictures of life and nature while touching on the relatable themes of joy, happiness, beauty, harmony, and love. Ramkirath’s fresh voice rises above the discordant notes of a turbulent and dark world, reaching the realms of splendor, joy, and peace we all crave.
Rhythms of Ease and Wonder is a collection of poetry that offers deep insights into the rhythms of life and beauty, and the deeper beauty and unbounded bliss within each of us.

This book is dedicated to my wife, Radhika, and my son, Akash, and daughter, Tamala.
The fairest thing in nature, a flower, still has its roots in earth and manure.

Author’s Note
Growing up in a small, beautiful village in Guyana, perched on the tip of South America, I was always fascinated by the simplicity, rhythms, and beauty of nature. This love for nature is still one of the abiding joys of my life. I feel for the children of today who do not experience the joys of growing up in a simple village setting; playing and roaming in the woods and fields and splashing in the trenches and the rivers. Therefore, one of the compelling reasons for penning this collection is to present pictures and images of the natural world that will lead both the young and the old to appreciate, even for a passing moment, the ever-changing beauty and the ravishing delights of the world
