DEDICATION
39847.pngS eeking to justify his writings, an author once philosophized:
The pen is a sword to say beautiful and true things, the sword is a pen to write heroics in battles
.
And we, without pretending to justify our own, emphasize:
Life is the battle that is fought with the pen, and the pen the sword that hurts ignorance.
With great respect to the God of my being, and the communicators who, with their pens and voices, educate and defend the people.
To the theater players, the actors, the journalists, and all my readers, my sons, family, friends and to all those young and peaceful people especially my students for their understanding and support
Theater, Stories And Scenes Of A Forgotten People
SECOND EDITION CORRECTED AND EXPANDED.
The prophecies of the times open the understanding:
If you found this world built, why should you sacrifice it?
Decadence, Imperialism and ambition, lead to destruction; what is the use of globalization, when there are obstruction borders?
The culture justice is not only what happens also, why happen and whom make the happen.
After darkness shines the light.
I feel freedom at a liberty world, really I never has been catch up my dream illusion.
The liberty is not only to preach, is to practice.
EXPRESSION OF THE AUTHOR
39847.pngA fter reading the weighting of the first edition of this work, it should be noted that a few years after the publication made by the autonomous University of Santo Domingo, UASD, in the – Literature and society N.9 collection, was corrected and expanded, at the time the English edition was processed, that is why the readers who came to acquire the first edition, when reading this one again, will realized that other titles have been added such as the story Violence in the School
, and the theatrical satire Judgment to an Unjust Corrupted
, both written in the United States, and published in the English edition.
So understanding that reading seriously hurts ignorance, I urge you to enjoy this reading.
PRESENTATION TO THE NEW EDITION.
With high and great consideration, I praise the people who have insisted on pointing out from the heart, our concern for social problems.
It is true, although in dialectics nothing remains static in time, that concern was, has been and will continue to be, and it can be said that those people who in my beginnings sat those expressions of futuristic prophecies, without a doubt, traced the guidelines that encouraged me to move forward.
This New edition of Theater Stories And Scenes of a forgotten People
that appeared for the first time, in the American market, in English, so it has also been selling in England and other English—speaking countries, with great success, it is for me, pleasantly satisfying, to deliver it again to the English –speaking readers, in order to evaluate the conditions under which time cements the essence and the form.
For this new edition in English the extension of the were inserted, so that the story violence in the school
can be read, and the play "The Trial Of a Corrupt and unjust Man, which has been staged with great success, in the new york stages.
As in the first edition, we tried to take into account those five difficulties for those who write the truth, which Bertolt Brecht stated with great clarity that: anyone who tries to fight lies and ignorance and write the truth, must have the courage and sagacity to recognize it, the art of making it manageable as a weapon, the judgment of choosing those in whose hands it would be more effective, and the skill of propagating it among them
.
Value has not been lacking, I am a communicator, the communicator is a server; if you are a communicator you have to commit to society, and I recognize the essence of its problems.
In this edition, the first part of this work includes five stories inspired by the idiosyncrasy of the people of the world’s inhabitants who live in marginalized sectors or in rural areas that have not been developed by government sectors or high economic power.
The second part is composed of two play s and a monologue; here, historical experiences of social injustices are reproduced.
