Emerson's Book of Letters - Emerson Nnochiri
SHOW ME THE WAY, L"LL MAKE YOU PROUD. DECEMBER 28, 2005.
It was as if you were a guiding light.
So rich and pure with everything right
It’s this long journey I have been put to seek
Where the cross roads are very meek.
It’s not like Moses I want to be.
But cross over to the promised land and see.
An oasis filled with trees of the land.
Just waiting for someone eager to reach out his hand.
So point with your finger and show me the way.
And I’ll be waiting impatiently if I may.
To take hold of this good thing so fine.
When everything is done this place is like fine wine.
Emerson Nnochiri.
IF YOU LIFT ME UP. DECEMBER 28, 2005.
I’ve been good in so many ways.
Find a place for me that really pays.
I left temptation along the way side.
In hopes, this time you’d take me for a jolly ride.
Then there are my hopes and dreams.
Steady and fast like running streams.
I’m ready for the big time as all can see
Just waiting anxiously that you are pointing to me.
I want so bad to climb that hill.
And reach for everything to quench my fill.
look, look it’s me reaching.
So at last I can hear some of your teaching.
Emerson Nnochiri.
IT IS A NEW YEAR. DECEMBER 28, 2005.
It is a new year knocking on my door.
Saying what have you done that landed you so poor.
You better wake up kid.
What were the things this year that you did.
I’m sorry, but I did try so much.
Somehow, there were things I simply could not touch.
I hope something good will come out from this year.
So I can put aside some of my fears.
Challenges were the course of the day.
I answered each and every one my way.
So in this new year.
What is it that I should hold so dear.
So what in this previous year should last.
Making sure my foundation was good in the
