Robert J. Turner III M.D. FACS

The Author, Dr. Robert J. Turner III is a retired surgeon who lives in Fort Worth, Texas. Although he has written and published a number of scientific articles, essays, and poems in scientific journals and magazines, this is his first children’s book. After retirement in 2002, he began a second career as an author and artist. The illustrator Dr. John H. Smith, is a surgeon who works in the outpatient surgical department of the Fort Worth VA Clinic. He also writes and illustrates a column in The Tarrant County Medical Journal. He and his wife reside in Burleson, Texas which is just south of Fort Worth.
