Twenty-Two Disquieted Moral Concerns: Discussions Leading to Remedies
()
About this ebook
In “Twenty-Two Disquieted Moral Concerns” Maybelle Mason depicts problems common to mankind. She shares short stories and biblical lessons to inspire others to avoid regrettable experiences and overcome misbehaviors that do not align with Christian values.
Practical solutions and workable guidelines are portrayed how to successfully deal with the disquietedness instead of creating more unrest. If counseling sessions become stagnated through erroneous opinions, and other reproachable ideas, view these pages for a fresh approach to the problem.
The surprising, but true to life, argumentativeness by antagonists and protagonists depicted in a dialogue make for an interesting read. Make a difference for the betterment of your fellowman by visualizing yourself as being an actual concerned participant in the discussions. There’s something here, whether it’s dealing with small social infractions or major problems. The lesson-entwined dialogues lend colorful persuasions when discussing what is right and wrong.
Consider Mason’s writings while canvassing for counseling techniques, and how to personally obtain a greater understanding of the will of God. To live a noble life unabashedly is the highlighted theme throughout this book.

While working in the public for many years, the author was, also, writing poetry and short stories. The author didn’t know when she wrote a lengthy poem over sixty-plus years ago that she was writing her own life’s predictive story. She has lived and witnessed, through experiences, the unfolding of what was predicted in that poetic rendition of her future. Now at the age of eighty-five, she is releasing the disclosure through more writings, for the public’s consideration. PREDICTION: Her writings would nurture the public, and a proportional public would favorably respond.

PREFACE
In order for the reader to better understand the scope of my challenges here, I suggest the reader to first read the short narrative in this book titled, Two Engineers with Important Roles
.
I feel for readers who become disheartened after being exposed to books falsely advertised as being morally clean, and spiritually enlightening, when they are actually morally degrading, and which are deceptive reading material.
These twenty-two stories depict acute problems, missteps, unethicalness, and good decision-making concerning a variety of subjects, all related to human nature.
The word moral
used in this work addresses gross immorality as well as minor infractions which are not consistent with living a noble life.
Each story presents dialog by two opposing sides. Instead of ending a problematic story with more disquietedness, this book presents the difference of right and wrong, which are ultimately acknowledged by both sides.
It is my hope that readers will avoid regrettable experiences, properly identify shamefulness, cease promoting wrongness, and overcome the distinctive, societal misbehaviors not favorable to Christian living. Then, hopefully, others will gladly join the ranks for their personal improvement—a quest from the onset of this mission.

Sid was one of the first people to arrive at the Melton family reunion. He joined the family after he married a distant cousin of the family.
Two years ago, at the previous reunion, the program committee suggested that anyone who had a lengthy story to tell should have it recorded. This would allow everyone to hear the story.
Sid was eager to comply, and while smiling, he asked for the microphone and made sure the recorder was turned on.
While smiling broadly, he said, "Get prepared, everyone. I have a very interesting and thrilling story to tell. I bought a farm, consisting of one hundred sixty acres, from an elderly couple, and I couldn’t ask for a better deal. His health was deteriorating, and he wanted to remove all of his high-dollar, large farming implements and a bunch of other smaller items before we closed the deal.
"I was anxious to close the deal so I wouldn’t have to pay another month’s rent where I was living, and his farmhouse was empty, so I told him he could get all of his belongings after I moved in. With his bad health, I thought he might leave some items I wanted. That’s the reason I never offered to help him remove any of them, although I should have.
Up until I became owner, I was very courteous to him and his wife. One time, he dropped his cane, and I picked it up, then I kissed it before giving it to him. I often patted his shoulder while flattering him.
Sid chuckled. "You gotta be smart these days.
"So guess what? After the deal was finalized, I took immediate possession of everything. Instantly, my demeanor changed. After the closing, I told him I had a gun, and nobody could come on the property to retrieve anything without permission. With the threat I made, I gained a tractor, lawnmower, trailer, and garden tools, all of which he intended to move off the land. It was easy to see he was afraid of me, and that’s the way I wanted it.
"Even though he told me he was going to get some help in removing his property, I always assured him he didn’t need to be in a hurry. I told him he could take six months or a year to get his property, if he needed that long.
Nothing was written down. It was only a verbal understanding, and we shook hands as to our agreement. Everything was named out verbally, and three neighbors were witnesses to all that was said. His wife, also, was a witness to our agreement.
Sid paused and put his hands in his pockets. Now, tell me, you brilliant relatives, don’t you all agree that I outsmarted that couple? It pays big dividends to be shrewd.
Sid, aren’t you a deacon in your church? How can you laugh about treating this elderly couple so unjustly?
Grover asked.
Being a deacon doesn’t have anything to do with a good, honest real estate deal,
he replied, laughing. The transaction was legal; nothing shady at all. I saved a month’s rent by hurrying up the deal. All the machinery I got could well be worth more than seventy thousand dollars. Think about that—seventy thousand! The air-conditioned tractor alone is worth no telling what.
Sid talked another five minutes while the relatives eyed one another, and there were several periods of moaning, sighing, and shaking of heads, showing disapproval of his lack of Christian principles.
Shortly after Sid’s story ended, an elderly man and woman, both using crutches, arrived. Vera, the man’s niece, ran to her uncle.
Uncle Jake, so glad both of you could come today,
she said. We missed you at the last two reunions. Here, have a seat.
While Vera greeted her uncle and aunt, Sid was preoccupied with some two-year-old twins. Soon, he and Jake made eye contact.
Jake moved closer to where Sid was sitting.
Sid, how are you related to me?
Jake asked. How do you fit in the family? As for me, I’m an uncle to a number of these adults. Yep, I got a bunch of nieces and nephews here.
Sid laughed nervously. Eh.
Uncle Jake, what’s been going on with you, Aunt Sara, and the dogs since we last saw each other?
Vera asked.
I sold my farm to this fellow sitting here,
he replied, pointing at Sid. "At the time we made the deal, I didn’t know he was a family member. Neither did I know he was anything else, other than a genuine Christian man. His politeness was overwhelming. I even lowered
