About this ebook

Enclosed in a rose is a garden that glows,
Sprinkles scent of romance, and showers Cupid’s arrows.

Beyond time and space, you are welcome to this place.
Here, love is the reason, and love is the grace.

You can choose to be Tina or choose to be Sam.
Both are an image of the divine hologram.

They will rise, they will fall, and sometimes they hit the wall.

But when they surrender to the perils of this path,
Their pain becomes the sword, and the shield is their heart.

For love does not conquer, it submits. And in this submission is its victory.

Come join Tina and Sam on their journey toward a perfect love in an imperfect world.

    Only the Rose Can Tell

    (Running … huffing and puffing)

I looked behind, saw no one, yet I felt someone chasing me. I ran faster on a never-ending street. It was dark, even the moon was absent. The street was lined with wall on both sides, and behind the walls were buildings with windows all closed. Yet I could see shadows of people by the windows as if they were watching me. I could not run any further; my legs were in pain. I couldn’t breathe. I wanted to stop and face the fear, but to face it, I needed to see it. All that was was a sense of being chased and darkness all around. So the only option I had was to run.

After a while, I found myself into a bright sunny day. The street vanished, walls and buildings disappeared. Instead was a beautiful garden. The perfume of lavender filled up my lungs; the cool breeze and the flowers made me smile. I was happy; my fear ceased.

I walked through the garden, wowed by its beauty. It was the best place I had ever imagined. Then I came across the most amazing sight. A rose plant was glowing amongst all the others, and to my surprise, the plant didn’t have any thorns. The roses were stunning red, and amongst them all there was one that was shining like a ruby. I couldn’t resist the radiance of this rose and felt a wonderful sense of belonging, and so I plucked it. As soon as I did, all the other roses turned into thorns.

I was frightened and tried to move away but pricked my finger, and a drop of blood fell on the rose that I was holding. The moment it did, it started to burn. I got so scared that I dropped it, but then slowly, the entire rose plant was engulfed in a fire, and it began to scream in pain as if it were not a plant but a person being burnt.

I was shaken; my mind could not grasp what just happened. While I was still trying to come to my senses, the garden changed back into the dark street, and all the plants and trees became tall buildings. Once again, I felt being chased. I could not run any further, and then the street started to rise upwards. I struggled uphill. Scared to death, I kept on running. With each step, I moved way beyond the land until finally, I could see the earth far below.

In between all this, some sort of light was flying towards me. Soon, it became obvious. The light was radiating from a bird, a majestic white bird.

Bird: What are you running from?

Me: I don’t know, but something is trying to harm me. It’s following me.

Bird: I don’t see anyone following you. You don’t have to worry. Nothing will harm you. You are with me now.

His words were magical. I felt calm and safe.

Bird: In fact. you should be thankful to your fear.

    Me: Why is that?

Bird: If you didn’t run from it, we couldn’t have met.

    Me: What’s your name?

    Bird: I don’t have a name.

    Me: No name?

    Bird: Name limits me?

Me: Then how do I know who you are?

Bird: Don’t you think our purpose should define us, not our names? Tell me about the rose.

Me: How do you know about it?

    Bird: Tell me?

Me: It’s hard to explain. I couldn’t understand what happened. Such a beautiful flower. I fell in love with it.

    Bird:
