Charles Joseph Mloka
Charles Joseph Mloka was born in Arusha, Tanzania, in 1957.He holds a certificate in law, a diploma in law, and bachelor and master of law degrees from the University of Dar es Salaam. He served the government of Tanzania in various capacities until his retirement in 2017 from the Office of the National Assembly. Mloka is a poet and novelist who has published several books in Kiswahili and English. His first poetry anthology was Diwani ya Mloka, followed by Elimu Jamii na Chemsha Bongo,The Wonderful Surgeon and Other Poems, Lugha na Athari Zetu, and The Parliamentary Privilege in Tanzania: Law and Practice. He is currently a freelance translator and editor.

Introduction
This book is an outcome of my efforts to revise in the appropriate time the first and second editions published by Nyambari Nyangwine Publishers in 2008 and 2010, respectively, and engage a professional editor to improve it and ultimately promote into international markets. The book comprises short poems moulded artistically in a simple language focusing on common issues existing in many African societies and the world generally.
