Dr. Patricia Trish Mahapa

This is Patricia Trish Mahapa’s second book. She wrote this book ‘Renew Yourself’ while the first one ‘Run your Race’ was in the process of being published. This is due to a growing passion of wanting to impact and inspire people through her books. Her passion for writing is driven by her love for Jesus and what God has done in her life. She has various degrees and qualifications with various institutions. When she wrote this book, she was busy with her PhD with an international university. A passionate Christian, the author has been saved for close to 17 years and has grown in the Lord.

INTRODUCTION

This book will teach you how to stop postponing your vision. It will teach you to wake up and answer a call to renew yourself and live your best life. The awakening is about being a conqueror. If you want to be a winner, you must be transformed and be willing to make changes in your life. You have to make that decision to renew and rebrand yourself. This book teaches you how you can be the best version of yourself. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what you have been through—this book will impact your life and encourage you to live in victory!

Remember that living your best life is a choice that you alone can make. So make that choice today. Never think you don’t deserve the best, or you don’t deserve a promotion, or you can’t build your own empire. Think positive thoughts and have faith. Remember that you have to dream big to be big; if you don’t have a vision, you will remain where you are. This book will teach you to be courageous, rise and shine, and be in the driving seat of your life. It will teach you to dream big as a child of God and stop limiting yourself.

This book teaches you to stop doubting yourself, or feeling you are unqualified. You will learn that you are qualified to receive the blessings of the Lord. You have been fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. Remember, our victory was declared on the cross, and Jesus’s death and resurrection was not in vain. He suffered so that we can have life and have it more abundantly. God has a purpose for you, so rise and shine. It doesn’t matter what your background is or what you have been through. You can change direction and start writing a new history today. God loves you, and you belong to him and nobody else. Remember, the word of God says that nothing in creation can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:39).

We are all created in God’s image. He loves us, and we are precious to him.

Learn how to cultivate a winning attitude. Learn how to have a positive outlook on life. Learn how to renew your life and yourself. Learn how to have a bigger vision and go for it. Learn how to walk in power and victory and be the change you want to be. This book provides many pointers and lessons to help you.

CHAPTER 1

Make a Decision

Our greatest limitations exist in our minds. If we conquer the limitations in our minds and stop listening to the negative voices that tell us what we can and can’t do, we will reach for our goals.

Change is possible. It doesn’t matter what you have been through, what you have done, or where you come from. If you decide to answer his call, your life will never be the same. For if Jesus says you are coming out of it, no one can say otherwise. If he says you are coming out of that tomb, like Lazarus, you will come to life again and you will live an amazing and prosperous life. When Jesus calls your name as he called Lazarus, answer the call, for it’s a call that will save your life. It doesn’t matter how deep the devil thinks he has sunk you, or how long you have been lying there. It doesn’t matter how hopeless the situation seems to be. If Jesus says, It’s time! it is definitely so. You will be getting out of that bad situation, for Jesus said so. For when Jesus says yes, nobody can say no, for he is the Messiah—our Saviour—and he has won the battle for us all. He will deliver you. He did it with Lazarus when people thought it was over for Lazarus, and he will do it for you as well.

In John 11:43–44, the word of God says:

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. (KJV)

It doesn’t matter what has bound you. Know that Jesus can untie you. He will set you free and raise you up. Jesus died for us so that we can be free from any form of bondage. The same way that Jesus showed up when he was called to Lazarus, if you call him, he will show up. He will make what is considered impossible, possible.

Jesus is never too late. When everyone thinks you can’t come out of a bad situation, and even the enemy thinks it’s over with you, Jesus will say it’s only the beginning, it is definitely not over. He will show you that it is only the beginning of your new and prosperous life, for new things are about to happen. He will give you a miracle that will not only shock you but will even shock the enemy.

If you want to see your miracle, start calling him, and he will show up. And when he does, expect miracles; expect the impossible to be made possible. Expect your life to change, and be prepared to be shocked when you witness his great intervention. Be prepared for the change. For it is not over until God says so. And God’s promise is a long life of abundance and eternal life. You will receive your blessings, and you will live your life to the fullest and run the race to the finish. You will finish well. The devil will not write the last chapter of your life, for your life is in God’s hands, and it’s just beginning.

Jesus can’t live life for you, but he can live inside you; he can renew you and make you brand new. If you invite him into your life, he will come and live inside you. If you have Jesus, you have the presence of the Holy Spirit. It begins when you make that decision and take that step of faith to say yes to the renewal.
