    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

My thanks to my grandson, Benjamin, for helping me in my writing. Even though I learned how to type in high school, it had been years since I have done any typing. I also thank my parents for leading me in the narrow path. They taught me to always rely on the Lord. My English teacher always told me that I have the talent to be a writer. Thanks to her encouragement, this came into fruition over fifty years later. May this story encourage Christian people to help the less fortunate. There are so many things that can be accomplished if Christian people work together.

Since I was the youngest, my parents considered me as their baby, but they gave me their blessing, and with a lot of sadness, I made my move to Barstow, California. I remember how sad I felt the day I left my parents.

At the age of twenty-three, I got married. My wife,
