After working for the last 20 years the Wilson’s was ready to take time out and start their bucket list trip June and Randy had for the past years was conservative with were finances and invested and saved for this period of time.

They have been married for 22 years and both were graduated from college Randy as an electronic engineer and June as Legal assistance.

Born Randy James Wilson and June Marie Brown was married after dating during their college years and after each had finished, started to worked to have this period of time in their live final arrived for they were getting no younger for June was 45 and Randy only a few month older at 46. They could not have children because of a childhood condition on June’s part but was content with the condition.

After preparing for months they finally was taking off from their jobs to take the next 60days to work on what they called their bucket list, things they have been talking about for the past ten years and now it finally arrived they would be leaving at the middle of August and be gone for the next 60 days to England and the small countries on the island like Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Iceland then over to the main land of Europe through the tunnel connecting England and Europe.

They would spent one or two days or more in each country just to get the feel of the way the people lived and enjoy life and enjoy some of their foods although they didn’t eat like normal people they were reserved at what they ate but, enjoyed seeing others enjoy themselves with foods and drinks.

Randy had been working for the same company for the past twenty some years called Capital Electronic by doing inspections of the equipment in the Radio and Television stations to be sure they didn’t break down he was well educated for the job and it went all the way back to the basis radio and broadcasting equipment.

June spent her time researching legal papers for the lawyers she worked for the past sixteen years and enjoyed every minute but her time with Randy was priceless they would do walks and runs and hike and camp and loved each very much and enjoyed their time together.

Their plane would be leaving the next morning and they would travel light with only their back packs and a couple changes of clothes they would buy what they needed to blend into the country they are in at the time for they would be hiking most of the time or rented car or truck.

Their backpack had all the items needed for camping or foul weather and heath needs.

They were ready for their trip and would sleep the last time in their bed for the next 60 days would change their lives forever all through they had no idea what was in store the Lord God was still in charge even though they were not believers and had no dealings with any religion the Lord God will use them in a mighty way.

    ONE

Randy and June were up at their usual time of 6 A.M and Saturday August 20, they had taken their morning shower and put on their traveling clothes and were now preparing breakfast and had called the taxi company for transportation to the airport their flight time was 11A.M. and they had to arrive two hours early even through it was an international flight and time wait was shorter they didn’t want anything to go wrong.

The taxi arrived at 8:00 A.M just as planned and they checked their home and cars to be sure that they would be secure for the next 60 days and placed their backpacks in the trunk of the taxi and they were finally on their way for the adventure of a life time, 45 mins later they were at the airport checking in their backpacks they were too big for the overhead luggage rack in about twenty minutes later they on the tram to the flight area.

The airplane that was to take them to London, England non-stop, would fly for about eight hours and fifteen minutes before arriving at London Heathrow airport placing them in London seven fifteen to seven thirty P.M just in time to rent a car and drive to a hotel or motel of their choosing their time would not be scheduled by appointed times they were on a vacation and on their own time schedule.

It was around nine p.m. when they found a motel that was reasonable in price and was fashioned in the old England style and the rooms was comfortable and was within their price range.

After a restful night in the first day and night on England soil Randy and June was up a little later than they were they were still in the habit of getting up a 6 a.m. because of the time different of five hours their bodies would have to adjust to the time different.

    TWO

Their first trip was to find a good restaurant that was serving American breakfast food that late in the day and visit some of sights that London had to afford. In about thirty minutes they found the place that they found on their GPS smart phone and were enjoying their first meal in England they ate only a snack at the motel before going to bed. The food was good but coffee wasn’t anything like the American style coffee but that was what they came to see the different way people of other counties lived.

It was too early for the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace the Queens residence and State rooms it was one of the special attractions in the City of London and there are others that Randy and June wanted to visit like the London Eye, Tower of London and especially Big Ben (clock) one of the most famous buildings Westminster Abby, just being in London was enough to take your breath away an being outside and not cooped up in some room doing research on some old dry subject for a trail that meant nothing made her feel alive and it put joy into her steps.

After having a good breakfast meal they drove around to see the London Eye and Big Ben is 157 years old and still kept time, they drove over to Westminster Abby that was the most interesting for it was first the Roman Catholic Church before the Church of England took it over it was called Colligate Church of Saint Peter of Westminster of England and built in 960 A.D and has a Gothic style an hour or so is enough to enjoy the beauty it beholds and Randy and June spent the rest of the day just driving around the City of London and visiting the outlying land and cities.

They checked out of the motel and would find lodging in some rural area so they could do some hiking or running in the early morning light they were still physical active and enjoy doing things outdoors even if the weather wasn’t the best for being outdoors.

They found a Bed & Breakfast lodging and was surprise how the place looked on the inside they figured that it would be backwards but it more than could imagine and the owners were very hospitable and friendly and the meal they given was just out of this world we had checked in just they were servicing dinner to their other guests.

Randy and June had been riding just about all day for the City of London is circled by a highway called M-25 unusual numbering systems but not confusing. So after getting settled in and went for a walk in the country lanes and enjoyed the view and smell of the land, grass and trees and quietness in the country cause the body to relax and let it say, you are alive, yes, you are alive.

After about one hour of walking they returned to the B&B and joined in the events the others were doing then someone started playing some type of instrument and some of them were dancing away with their legs jumping and arms flying hand slapping their legs and shouting words Randy and June had no idea what they were saying but they joined in the festal time. After enjoying the joyful time Randy and June bid the other quest and owners good night and said it was very unusual night and that was why they came to this land to hear and see.

    THREE

The alarm started to sound and Randy turned it off and set up in the bed and heard the wind howling and rain hitting the window and there was a storm setting in for the day so traveling for Randy and June on this day was impossible it was day that one would want to climb back into the bed covers and get close to your mate as possible, it was dark outside so that is what Randy decided to do, just sleep for a couple more hours if possible June had not woke up yet.

Randy had reset the alarm for 7:45 a m and just soon the alarm went off Randy’s feet hit the floor and wasn’t sure where he was for a few seconds after getting his mind to work he walked to the bathroom and prepared to shower and shave and put on some fresh clothes before waking up June and going down to the dining area.

Because Randy had checked the weather on his smart phone, he ask the owner Wilma of Wilma Bed & Breakfast her husband’s name was George Robinson if it would possible for them to spent one night because this weather was going to stay all day and part of the night because the weather system was coming out of the north west which wasn’t good. Wilma replied that would be fine besides this is kind of day one would like sitting by the fire and read a good mystery novel George was into the western and mystery novels.

To his surprise Georges Library had Zane Grey leather band novels they must be worth twenty thousand dollars or more he probably didn’t know what value those books would have and it probably didn’t matter to him he was a simple man an did the handyman jobs in the village and enjoyed reading his mystery books and western novels that he did over and over again.

The Breakfast meal was more than excellent the others quests that had joined them was a delight to speak with although it was broken English and was hard to follow they were from Germany and Spain traveling just they (Randy and June) were, enjoying their elder years.

After the enjoyable meal Randy and June and the other quest came into the large parlor or what we call the living room with large fireplace and comfortable lounge chairs and Georges library books it was a time that time had forgotten even if the weather had stopped their trip this time spent here will always be remembered.

Randy and June found them a novel to read, comfortable chair and settled into a day of reading
