About this ebook

Joseph and Anita are a successful, strong Christian husband and wife with beautiful children and a happy life. However, the flesh is weak. Joseph meets a woman who shares his wife’s name at a coffee shop. She is flirtatious and lovely, and Joseph is soon struck by lustful thoughts. The situation intensifies when he makes it a point to visit this new Anita at the coffee shop every morning before work.

Joseph’s wife is soon emotionally attacked by insecurities resulting from her past as she begins to doubt her husband’s love. Meanwhile, Anita from the coffee shop forces her way into Joseph’s life out of loneliness and jealousy, having always wanted a loving, caring husband like him. Losing control, Anita begins to stalk Joseph, spreading lies and trying to ruin his happy life.

When Joseph tries to escape the clutches of lust, Anita becomes violent. Now, not only is Joseph in danger, but his family is, too. Anita from the coffee shop has been hiding more than her unstable psychological state; she has a secret back in America. Joseph gave in to the weakness of the flesh and could now lose everything unless he finds his way back to the woman he truly loves and the family he treasures.

    About the Author

    PREFACE

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a foster child? I myself could not imagine the situation, but it is quite common. We will never know what it is like unless we live it ourselves. Foster homes are provided to offer a good life to children, and in certain cases, they do. In others, they do not. Trying to raise a family comes with its ups and downs. We want what is best for our children when we are focused on what is right, even though we sometimes do not know exactly what it is.

Take a home of six: a mother, a father, and four children. It’s a family full of love and ambition and a strong background of always helping others to make things work but never once thinking that the society will take their whole world and crumble their close bond. The father was named Joseph, and the mother’s name was Anita. They had loved each other since grade school and never thought of anyone else taking the other’s place. Love is never blind when two people love each other; nothing and no one can take its place.

    CHAPTER 1

Anita was a homemaker, while Joseph was the breadwinner. He was a hardworking man, and she was a hardworking woman. They would go days at a time without seeing each other but never thought about the absence of companionship.

One day, Joseph was on his way to work when he stopped at the local coffee shop to get a cup of coffee, like he always did to get his day started. A woman of such beauty and striking curves—with a gorgeous smile, long hair, and glistening skin, with this magnificent smell of perfume—walked in. Joseph really wasn’t paying her any attention because all he could think about was his family and how he never got to spend time with them. There were so many other guys whistling and winking at this woman. One was brave enough to ask what her name was. She replied, My name is Anita with such a soft, elegant sound.

Now, that got Joseph’s attention, because his wife’s name was also Anita. This Anita did not act as if she was interested in all the other guys in the shop, but she did have some interest in Joseph—all because he did not raise a brow about her presence.

Anita walked up to Joseph and said, Good morning, sir. How are you this lovely morning?

Joseph replied, Good morning with a smile as he began to get his change from the cashier to leave the store.

Anita felt rejected and said, I did not catch your name.

He replied, Joseph, and went on about his day.

As Joseph walked out the door, he was a little puzzled because the woman had to have seen his wedding band and there were so many other guys trying to get her attention. Joseph just thought, Oh well. It’s none of my concern.

Joseph got in his truck and drove to work.

That evening, as he was walking to his truck to go home, he saw a nice car with tinted windows riding slowly by his job. He had never seen this car around town. Since he
