INTRODUCTION

The novel addresses a contemporary vital problem crime and its relation to performance with social and ethical problems of the reality that attracted most of the people, and I am one of them.

A world is full of love, joy, cognition, understanding and divine compassion on one hand and fear, anxiety, tension, the escape from place to another and difficulty on the other hand.

And without the divine affection and compassion that gives us positive and helps us move forward the direction of our goals correctly. The situation will be very different and where we couldn’t stand and live to this moment if the Lord did not enter to solve the problems of humanity to provide us with more positive energy so that we could continue our social life better.

In this novel, I focused well on the social and family conflicts that began to emerge from the day created this earth and humanity was on it. And there is a literary character that takes us to an invisible world that compels us to make mistakes in its small and big size which is a dangerous puzzle that’s called fate in other words.

The Destiny can play a big role in our life because created by the Lord and we always have to face a new world, maybe less or more difficult in all our life steps. Because there is a good thing, and there are hard things that force us to commit the dangerous mistakes that we have made in crises and to get us into thorny we wish for, no matter how hard we seek.

Always there is someone who rejoices in your life and someone who puts you to the end of your life through your fall and control and use you for their dangerous and dirty interest and you pay dearly later.

Our world needs adventure and ultimate courage, but we must not fall victim. Wel fall victim in the hand of people who steal and try to use humans for dangerous, hostile things and for dirty interests including killing and blackmailing people without fear or hesitation or regretting.

Our lives rarely change, and we knock on the doors of change for the better yet perception changes based on the level and consciousness that we have.

The purpose of positive change for the human to seek must be to work for his entire life, which he will live for one moment after another and most of the time, some of our lives change after we are well aware that we are moving towards the end of physical existence, the main thing for us in this life.

There are personal desires and goals and plans that the human writes it to walk towards their with a constant error that is positive because of the behaviour of the human or negative and puts us under pressure and a big challenge to get our desires by force and in an illegitimate way.

I have named my novel the regret for many reasons, when as a human being makes a mistake, making them regret their whole life.

I am well aware that we are all human beings created under this component and therefore regret it when the human feels a terrible mistake and feels guilty after the human thinks that offended to others with things that are outside the law and social custom.

When the readers read this whole novel, will get to the point of the word of regret and will know the mistakes that some people have made, and what’s happened to them, and what their end was.

It is a very interesting story, and I’m sure the readers going to feel the exciting events that are racing together.

I wrote this novel without chapters where the events and circumcentre followed each other without stopping and when the readers did the reading of this novel, they will get to know the major crime that the gang has committed to a certain order, but in the end what happened and what they got from all their actions.

The important point I would like to mention here is that the gang had certain targets to make money. Murder, extortion, stealing people money and raping.

THE REGRET

A family consisting of two a husband and his wife. The husband called Aaron 40 years old, and his wife Alicia 35 years old, and their social status are very good.

The man works in commerce and lives in a very sophisticated house; he owns more than one farm and a good stock of money in the bank.

Aaron’s wife was pregnant in her ninth month and was their first child, and she was about to give birth.

They were sitting watching TV and began discussing what they are going to call their first baby.

Aaron asked his wife what she would like to call their first baby and the choice belong to her.

Alicia said if the male will call him Barry and if female her name will be Sara.

He looked at her smiling and said ok my love as you wish. He hugged her and kissed her head, and then he said could not be more patient, to see his first baby.

Alicia said did not precede event Aaron. We don’t know what will happens from now until the day of birth, and then her tears began to fall.

Aaron looked at her strangely, and said, why so pessimistic Alicia, you should be happy.

Alicia looked at Aaron and apologised. She said don’t worry everything will be fine, and then she smiled.

In the next day, Aaron was ready to go to work, while his wife was lying in bed. He went to her and sat beside her on the bed and grabbed her hand and kissed her, then said he is going to work; he has many accumulated things to do.

Alicia said, take care my love; I will wait for you until you come back so we can have a dinner together.

Aaron went to his office and was busy completing the accumulated work. He was working and supervising his staff in the factory.

The time was late, and Aaron did not go back home yet, causing his wife to worry.

Alicia contacted his office but was no answer; she tried to call him on his mobile but was on the answering machine causing her worry.

Aaron returned to his office and looked at his mobile, saw many missed call from his wife, and he called her immediately.

Alicia received a call from Aaron and answered the call immediately. She was very nervous and asked him why did not pick up his phone because she was so worried about him.

Aaron said I’m so sorry my love, I was away from my office and left my phone there because was very busy with my staff in the factory.

Aaron said he is leaving the office and asked his wife if she needs anything so that he can get it for here on his way back.

No thanks, Alicia said.

During driving his vehicle, Aaron got a collision with another vehicle, and the incident was very violent.

There were people near the collision they rushed to rescue people in both cars; they found the driver of the second vehicle died while his wife was still alive but seriously injured.

They went to Aaron’s vehicle, and one of the people screamed that the driver is still alive. They tried to take Aaron out of his vehicle, but he was severely wounded and bleeding.

The police vehicles surrounded the area, and the ambulances vehicle arrived. They transferred the wounded people from both vehicles including and Aaron into the ambulance vehicle immediately.

Aaron has been taking to the hospital, and a police officer tried to speak to him to take some information about his social status, his family and place of residence, but his condition was pitiful.

A police officer was able to find Aaron’s house and telephone number in his wallet.

The police officer called Aaron’s wife and said hello.

Alicia answered the phone and said hello, who is this, please.

The officer said I am calling from a police station can I speak to Aaron’s wife, please.

Alicia said I’m Aaron’s wife speaking, please.

The police officer I’m calling about your husband.

Alicia said my husband you said. What’s happened to him? He just called me a while ago was on his way back home.

The police officer said I want to tell you the unfortunate news that your husband got a collision, and he is now in the hospital.

Alicia what you said, his in the hospital.

The police officer said I want to be honest with you, his health condition does not bode well, and then gave her the address of the hospital, which were her husband, lay.

Alicia threw the phone from her hand and grabbed her stomach, and sat on the sofa worried, and then her health condition worsened.

Alicia picked up the phone and contacted her husbanded family, and the phone starts ringing.

Aaron’s family, mother, brother and sister were sitting in the dining room watching TV, and heard the phone ringing. They looked at the time it was late.

Aaron’s mother answered the phone and said hello is Alicia.

Alicia said yes is me and started crying.

Aaron’s mother looked at her son and daughter while Alicia is crying and they noticed there is something wrong happened.

Aaron’s mother said what is happening Alicia.

Aaron’s brother named Tony twenty-five years old, and Nadia his sister eighteen years old were sitting and attentive to the words of their mother with Alicia.

Alicia said she had a call from the police; they told her that Aaron’s her husband got a car accident and now in the emergency in the hospital.

Aaron’s mother said my son in the hospital.

During these moments she felled tired, and cannot concentrate properly.

Tony takes over the phone from his mother and starts talking to Alicia, and she explained to him everything.

They all agreed to go to the hospital, but Tony asked Alicia to stay at home because of her health. But Alicia refused to do so, and she wanted to go and see her husband.

Tony took his mother and sister in his vehicle and went to the hospital, while Alicia was waiting for Tony to pick her up, but he refused to fear her health.

Alicia called Tony many times, but he did not pick up his phone.

Tony and his family arrived at the hospital and asked the reception staff about his brother where he is laying at the moment because want to see him.

A nurse was walking towards the reception area said to Tony and his family sorry it is too late.

What do you mean Tony said.

The nurse lowered her face and said sorry Aaron dead.

Their mother lost her consciousness and felled to the ground. Tony and his sister Nadia held their mother and sat next to her until returned to her consciousness.

The doctor came out from the room and took Tony on the side and informed him that, they did their best to save his brother but was bleeding a lot, and his brother’s body will be in the fridge all night and will be ready to be picked for tomorrow.

The doctor and the nurses took Aaron’s family to see Aaron’s body. They entered the room and saw Aaron’s body covered, and they burst into tears.

Tony approached the body and lifted the cover from his brother’s face, and then looked at him, he felt frustrated, and he put the cover back on his brother’s face again.

Tony took his mother and sister out of the room and left the hospital, and then went straight to see Alicia.

They arrived and got out of the vehicle, then tony called Alicia and said hello.

Alicia answered the phone, said is Tony, where are you now please.

Tony said I’m in front of your house; open the door for us, please.

Alicia went to open the door, and she was frustrated and afraid. She opened the door and saw all the family members of her husband around the door.

They entered the house, and Alicia closed the door behind her and said what is going on tell me.

Tony said, please calm down first, and I will tell you everything that happened.

It was hard for Tony to say it, he does not know how to explain it to her, and then he said listen, Alicia, every soul will test a death.

Alicia heard the words from Tony; she felled the world revolving around her.

Tony said I want to let you that Aaron has died.

Alicia fainted after heard the bad news.

Tony and his family stayed beside Alicia until the morning, and in the morning they went to the hospital and took Aaron’s body, and then held a funeral ceremony in the church and buried him.

After a few days, Alicia got a pain in her stomach. She called her husband’s family, and they rushed to her house and called the ambulance, and then Alicia took to the hospital immediately, and after a few hours, she gave birth.

While Tony and his family were waiting outside the maternity ward, one of the nurses came out from the maternity ward and said to them congratulation; she got a boy.

One of the nurses moved Alicia to another room alone. Tony, Nadia and his mother entered the room and congratulated her on the occasion of her new baby.

The nurse came and asked Alicia, what she would like to call the baby.

Alicia I would like to call him Barry she said.

The nurse wrote the name of the baby in the registration form and then said to Alicia, she is ready to leave the hospital shortly.

Tony and his family took Alicia and her baby back home and asked her they will stay with her until recovery her health.

Alicia answered no thanks; she will be fine and said wants to stay alone with her baby.

Tony and his family were surprised by her response.

Nadia said she still in critical condition and she needs someone to look after her.

Alicia said she would call them when needs help.

Aaron’s mother said what about the baby; we want to see him constantly.

Alicia said I did not prevent you from seeing him; you can come and see him at any time you wish.

Tony went near his mother and sister and said her health not very good; we have to leave her alone as she wanted.

Tony said to Alicia, call us if you need anything, we will come to visit you and see the baby from time to time.

Alicia said thanks for your help and appreciates it.

Tony and his family left Alicia and her baby to their own and got out of the property looking at each other faces because of Alicia’s behaviour

A week later, Alicia called her husband family and said hello.

Aaron’s mother answered the phone, said who is this is Alicia.

Alicia said yes I called for a reason; I want to meet you as soon as possible.

Aaron’s mother said sure; I will speak to Tony and Nadia when they come back home, please.

Tony and his family went to see Alicia, and they met inside Alicia’s house. Tony said we are here, what is the meeting about, please.

Nadia sat next to Barry and started laughing with him, and she said he is a very nice baby looks like his dad. Tony looked at Nadia and raised his hand asked her to shut her mouth

Nadia smiled and said sorry.

Tony said, sorry Alicia what do you want; we are here.

Alicia said I decided to sell the property and move away from here; I can’t live in this house anymore.

Tony said where you want to go, and have a baby with you. Did you lose your brain?

Alicia said every day I remember your brother when comes back home and remembers his words and his smile.

Tony said but where do you want to go, and you have no family, are you crazy.

Alicia said I know I do not have a family because of I’m an orphan, but I have to resist the life alone.

Tony said do you want to face the life alone and we are here to help you. Why do you want to go away of us?

Aaron’s mother said, ok Alicia do what you want to do but remember one thing there are foxes hunting people out there.

Alicia said don’t worry I will be very careful.

Tony and his family left Alicia’s property and went back home.

Alicia begins looking for a real estate agent online to sell her property, and she contacted several real estate agents.

One night Alicia put her baby to bed and went online to find a real estate agent again.

She was able to find one of the ads for real estate sales office. Their advertising about buying and selling homes was interesting showing and convincing clients how the way to find good offers. Alicia wrote down their contact number and decided to call them in the morning.

Alicia was carrying her baby feeding him some milk in the morning, and at the same time, she decided to call the state agent.

Alicia picked up the phone and dialled the number; the phone started ringing.

The reception at the estate agent answered the call and said hello what can I help Madam.

Alicia said a hello I have seen your estate agent add, and I have a property for sale as soon as possible, and she passed some details.

The girl works in the reception at the estate agent her name is Amy 25 of age. The good looking girl got blonde hair and blue eyes and never married before.

Amy said to Alicia can you hold the line for a moment I will be back with you I minutes.

Alicia Sure I’m waiting she said.

Amy went to see and inform the company director, and she told him there is a lady on the phone, she got a property for sale in a popular area and started giving him more details about the property.

The company director said to make an appointment for her to come and see me at 11 am tomorrow morning.

Amy said Sur Sir I will and went back to the reception, picked up the phone and said sorry to keep you waiting, I just spoke to my manager, and booked an appointment for you to come to see him at 11 am tomorrow morning is suitable for you.

Alicia said yes that is fine I will be with you at 11 am.

Amy said I want to remind you to bring all the property documents with you when you come to see us tomorrow, please.

Alicia said I would and thanks again.

Amy, you are more than welcome she said.

The company director his name is Andrew he is 50 of age. A man who is practising sport daily, average height, ugly face, someone who has precedents crime cases more than once, and been sentenced to imprisonment before, lives alone because of his wife left him and relocated to another country because of his attitude and behaviour.

Andrew called the reception hello.

Amy said yes Sir.

Andrew said can you ask Richard to come to see me immediately.

Richard, he is the property sales manager 30 years old, good-looking guy, lives with his mum, and average height, was sitting behind his desk doing some work, and the phone starts ringing.

Richard looked at the phone saw the call from the reception and picked the phone and said yes Amy what do you want darling.

Amy said Andrew wants you, go and see him immediately.

Richard said oh what is happening, Amy.

Amy said I have no idea; he is waiting for you.

Richard said ok my sweet I will go to see him. Richard likes Amy, but there was nothing serious, just eyes connection between them.

Richard left his office and went to see Andrew, the company director and knocked on the door.

Andrew said coming.

Richard entered the office and said sorry Andrew I received a message to come to see you.

Andrew said yes have a sit her.

Richard sat on the chair in front of Andrew.

Andrew said I have very positive things to discuss it with you. I will be very open to you Richard, so if you accept it, your life will be a changed for the better.

Andrew said before I go ahead and talk to you about my offer, I want to ask you a few questions.

Richard said I’m listening to you, Andrew.

Andrew asked Richard where he lives in the moment, and if he owns property or renting.

Richard smiled and said no, I don’t own any property, I’m renting a small apartment in a very poor area because can’t afford the rent, it is expensive, and I live with my mother, she is an old lady, and I’m only the one look after her.

Andrew said do you live with your mother alone, so what about the rest of your family, I mean your father, brother’s sisters.

Richard said my father died a long time ago, and I have no brothers no sisters.

Andrew said are you married or in a relationship and have you got any kids.

Richard said I’m a single person with no kids and I have no relationship with anyone. Richard and Andrew both start laughing.

Andrew doesn’t matter you will find someone soon, and if you don’t find them, they will come to you.

Richard was so excited when hearing Andrew talks.

Andrew was a silence for a few moments. And kept thinking of a good method to put his idea cross to Richard and he was aware of, it will be very difficult if something goes wrong, he will be in big trouble. Andrew left his chair and started walking in the office, and looked through the window he started imagining how will be rich and how to become a millionaire and was a little confused too. He was thinking about how he could gather some people to work for him to achieve his dream.

Richard was a little worry doesn’t know what Andrew is thinking about, and why he is not talking. Andrew went back and sat on his chair and looked at Richard then said you would be rich soon and you will start a new life if you accept my offer. By tomorrow you will be in high position at work, you will live in a nice apartment in a popular area, you will drive a nice and expensive vehicle, and your bank account will be full of money. Richard starts thinking, and his mind went away. Saying that a dream previously he wants to achieve soon will be realised, but keeps saying how.

Richard was silenced and keeps thinking how his life will turn from a poor to rich within a few days and what the secrets behind all this.

Andrew said hello, your mind went away Richard. Tell me your answer, do you want to change your life for the better yes or no.

Richard said yes I want to change my life for the better defiantly, but I want to hear what you are looking for because you did offer me a lot of things which surprising to me and no one can offer something like this for a free.

Andrew said well done Richard there is nothing for free, it is business cooperation of any type, and if someone needs money, they have to work hard to get it, do you understand.

Richard said yes I do understand Andrew if we need money we have to work hard, and I don’t mind.

Andrew comes closer to Richard and put his hand on Richards’ shoulder, then said well done, now we started to know each other better, and I’m looking for someone to rely on, he can be my right hind.

Richard don’t worry your offer accept it; I will be your right hand.

Andrew went back and sat on his chair, looked at Richard and said if I’m going to fly high, you going to fly high with me.

Andrew said I would let you climb the ladder quickly, and you will have a good reputation and a great personality.

Richard was listening intently to these strange words because he never passed through his lifetime.

Andrew said I would tell you some secrets things you may don’t know.

Richard said yes Andrew I’m listening to you.

Andrew said some people could not go up by themselves, but they climbed on the shoulders of others. Always you can see people in the front, and we think they are the first officials. They are not, the ones who decide out of sight so that no one knows who they are.

Andrew said I would be the mastermind, and the people who work for me will be the executors.

Richard said do you have people working for you in this business already?

Andrew said no. We both have to convince a few people to enjoys us and build our group. So we can be solid and secure more. But we have to choose the right people like us. People looking for money, people looking to change their life, people want to go up and live their lives happy do you understand what I mean.

Richard said yes I do understand. But how we are going to find them, you aware of, this is not a joke, because any mistake we will be in prison. I will be your right hand, and I promise never letting you down at any time, any moment, and in any difficulties, I will do my best to support you, but you have to keep your promise to me.

Andrew said do you have any lady in your life or somebody you looking to marry soon.

Richard, I have no one in my life, but I do like someone, but nothing serious at the moment.

Andrew said why not serious if you like someone you should let her know and go ahead.

Richard said I have to be honest with you, I like someone she is not far from here, but I cannot afford to take her out, I don’t have enough money.

Andrew said from today on; you will have more than enough don’t worry.

Richard said I want to know small idea about the business.

Andrew said if you said yes from the beginning, you should not regret later. I’m honest with you; I’m the leader, and I will tell you what to do. You have to make your mind; I will never repeat it. I want the answer yes or no before leaving this office; I don’t want to waste our time.

Richard said I would do what you want but how we can convince some people to enjoy us.

Andrew said why don’t open your eyes properly and let your brain works properly. What about the people sitting next to you in your office.

Richard said do you mean Elvis and Derek.

Andrew said exactly they are poor too, so what do you think.

Richard was in silence for a few moments and then asked Andrew to leave everything to him.

Richard said can I ask you something.

Andrew said go ahead what you want.

Richard said can I borrow some money from you, I want to buy some medicine for my mother, and you can take it from in my wages, please.

Andrew got up from his chair and went to the wall then lifts a picture from the wall. There was a safe money box, and he entered the password and opened the door. He took out a good amount of money in his hand from the safe box and put it on the table in front of Richard.

Richard looked at the money in front of him, was very happy doesn’t know what to say.

Andrew said this is all the money for you, do what you want to do with it and enjoy yourself.

Richard was happy and said this is a lot of money.

Andrew said you did not see anything yet; this is only the start.

Richard went and shook Andrews’ hand and said thanks.

Andrew said don’t say thanks to me, I’m trying to help you to change your life, but I am looking for aggressive men so that we can do our business properly.

Richard said I would protect your back, Andrew.

Andrew said to Richard do you drive.

Richard said yes I do, but I don’t own any vehicle at the moment.

Andrew takes out a business card from his pocket for a brand new vehicles dealer and passes it to him, and said before you go to buy the medicine for your mum go to this vehicle dealer.

Richard said do you want me to bring any vehicle for you, Andrew.

Andrew said not for me; it will be for you, go and choose any vehicle you like to drive and take it from there straight away.

Richard was surprised, his live starting to change very quickly and could not believes what is happening, and then he left the office and went to the reception area, and comes near Amy with a big smile on his face.

Amy looked at him and said, what is happening, you left Andrews office so happy, what is the secret.

Richard said when I buy my new vehicle; I will take you out, Amy. So what do you think?

Amy said did you pay your bills for last month before buying a new vehicle, with a smile on her face.

Richard and Amy start laughing with each other, and then Richard said you would be regretting Amy.

Amy said let’s see who is the one will regret you or me and while they were talking the postman come and passed all the post to Amy and left.

Richard left the building and went to get a bus to go to the dealer of the car to get a vehicle, but he remembered he got a good amount of money and then he crossed the road and jumped into the taxi.

The taxi driver asked Richard where he wants to go.

Richard passed the address to the taxi driver.

The taxi driver said sure and drove off.

Richard called his mum to let her know he will be a little bit late.

Richard mum said, ok son; I will wait for you.

Richard arrived at the dealer of the car and went inside to speak to the reception and asked the reception for the manager.

Richard was surprised by the voice of a man who came from behind.

The manager said, are you, Richard.

Richard looked behind him saw the manager and said yes I’m Richard.

The manager said to come with me please, and both of them went to the Parking area. The manager said to Richard, this is a hundred cars here; you can choose any vehicle you like and come to see me.

Richard starts waking between the vehicles trying to make his mind he does not believes he will drive one of the best cars, and start touching the body of the vehicle it was like a dream for him.

The manager came and said, did you make your mind, please.

Richard said yes this is the BMW over there, please.

The manager said which colour you like.

Richard said the black one, please.

The manager took Richard into the office and asked him if he wants tea or coffee.

Richard coffee would do he said.

The manager said he is going to bring all the vehicle documents, so he signs it.

The manager went to his office, and a lady came carrying a coffee in her hand and gave it to Richard.

The manager brought the vehicle document and sat next to Richard. He showed him the entire necessary document and the paperwork, and then asked him to sign it, and said congratulation.

Richard took the entire document from the manager, and both went together to the car park where the vehicle is parked, and the manager passed the vehicle key to Richard and said you are free to go now.

Richard opened the car door and got inside, he looked inside the vehicle, then said excellent and then drove off.

Richard was on his way to buy medicine to his mum and parked front of the pharmacy, then went and bought the medicine and before drove off saw a young boy about 12 years old bogging in the street and came closer to Richard’s car and asked Richard for some money and help.

Richard asked the boy what he is gone do with the money so he can help him. The boy told Richard, his mother is not well, and sick. She is not working, and she got a blood pressure and then showed Richard the prescription.

Richard asked the boy if he got brothers and sisters.

The boy no I’m the only the one look after my mother he said.

Richard left his car and took the prescription from the boy and then went to the pharmacy. He bought the medicine for the boy and gave him some money too, and said give it to your mum and don’t stay in the street anymore.

Thank you very much for your help the boy he said.

Richard, say thanks to god because the god helps you he said.

The boy took medicine from Richard and went back home with a big smile on his face.

Richard arrived home and parked his new car in front of the building where he lives, then got out of the car. A few people living on the same street and his neighbours were surprised Richard driving a new car, they came closer and asked him who owns this vehicle?

Richard, of course, belongs to me he said.

All the people start looking at each other; they did not believe it is his car. The landlord heard the conversation between them, and he said to Richard if this is your vehicle why don’t pay your rent for the last month.
