To my late beloved mother who could not read yet instilled the importance and love of reading in me at an early age.
To my late beloved father, whom I lost at an early age, yet his legacy has been guiding me through the years.
To my darling wife, whom I owe the fact that this book came to light; if not for her love, support, and dedication, I would not be where I am today. She is a once-in-a-lifetime woman who taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and sacrifice.
To my ancestors, children, grandchildren, and all my offspring till the end of time.
To every friend and pal I grew up with or met in any stage in life.
To you! Yes, you—reader of these very words—thank you for being honest with yourself and coming to the realization that you need to find your inner peace and live a successful, fulfilling life. Thank you, fellow human, for allowing me to be part of your honorable quest. I hope and pray that this book puts you on the path for the life you have been awaiting and the peace you very much deserve!
Special thanks to everyone who contributed to the English version of this book, especially my dear friend Aziz Safar and the wonderful Aya Kamal Martinoli for the translation.
Foreword
In humanity’s pursuit of knowledge and an understanding of life, people have plunged the depths of the oceans, climbed to the summits of highest mountains, explored nearby celestial bodies, and even reached out to greater outer space. As humankind evolves through trial and error, it begins to recognize the appearance of a design. It becomes obvious that there is more to human existence than happenstance derived from a big bang.
With the pursuit of knowledge comes a journey of inquisition and faith that the creator of this universe has many more wonders for humans to discover, and through that amazing journey of discovery, we find out more about ourselves and why we are in this universe.
For over forty years, I have been on a path of finding the greater truths in life through science. I learned, and I taught, and I certainly have witnessed lives turning around after finding inner peace. To me, one of the best pleasures in life is seeing people realize that there is, indeed, a purpose for their existence and seeing them start changing their life and those around them for the better. It is truly the force behind my passion for teaching and learning and is the reason why I continue to do what I do.
Nothing makes me more delighted than seeing one of my best students and dear friends, Dr. Mohamed Aboufarha, share the abundant knowledge he has accumulated over the years. In this book, Dr. Aboufarha has shared some valuable life lessons that could truly help anyone achieve inner peace and find their greater purpose in life.
I am very proud of the work put into Find Your Inner Peace. I encourage all readers to put the wisdom into action and apply the life lessons in it to their lives. You will not finish the last page of this book feeling disappointed; in fact, you could certainly reclaim your inner peace …

The Beginning
Where? When? Why?
Where, when, and why are three of the most important words in existence. They might seem like simple words we use on a daily basis, but these words have been turning points for countless minds throughout the centuries. Never underestimate the power of your mind or the importance of your questions. They could be turning points in your life.
There is a meaningful tale from A Story of Faith, a book by the mufti of Tripoli. It is about a young man who questioned his existence, his reason for being on earth, and how the universe is connected to all of that. Where, when, and why were words he pondered for years while trying to find answers to the questions he yearned to have answered.
Then on a day that seemed ordinary, the doors of his mind opened to a greater width. He asked himself these questions:
Am I the creator or creation?
Am I the provider or the bestowed upon?
At birth, did I choose to be a male or a female?
Did I choose to be born at a certain spot of the earth and not the other?
Did I choose my parents?
Does my brain have the power to order my heart to pump blood in my veins to keep me alive while I sleep at night?
Does my brain have the power to order my stomach to digest my food and nourish me?
What is the power behind my brain?
Do I order the sun to rise every day?
