The Spirit of Christ in Human Brains and Neurosurgery: Personal Views

There is no doubt in my mind that the Spirit of God is connected to the human brain within the skull. The human brain is not limited to the boundaries of the skull. Instead, it goes beyond the physical barriers of our planet and into the spiritual world. My Christian faith, as a Coptic Egyptian Orthodox, was the main reason I chose to be a neurosurgeon. It is in this way how my soul becomes closer to Lord Jesus Christ. I have devoted my life and withstood a very long journey in medicine and neuroscience, leaving my home country of Egypt and coming to America to strive in the difficult fields of neurological surgery, neuroscience, and anesthesiology. Every day my soul learns more and more about my Lord Jesus. I see him in my patients, in my surgeries, and in my surroundings. Deep within the brain lies the Spirit of Christ. As the author, I explore not only the connectivity of the human brain with the Spirit of God but also the Spirit of Christ in my neurosurgery practice. My human brain continues to be both thirsty and hungry for more and more of his eternal love. In this present book of sixty-five chapters, much of my soul I wish to share with you, the beloved reader. A section is designated to my most recent neurosurgery patients testimonials and experiences. Another section reflects upon the biblical words used during President Donald Trumps inauguration and Melanias speech and the presidents visit to the Middle East for peace.

PREFACE

As an author, the best time after writing Day and night, is when it is all accomplished!! Thank you, Lord Jesus. It is a unique book, it is written purely from my heart and Jesus Bible was the only reference. It represents my journey to explore the Spirit and unite the Spirit, the spirits and the human Brains. The book is so dear to my heart. I wrote them deep in my spirit while working as a neurosurgeon full time caring and observing the science of Neurosurgery.

For almost fifty years, I dedicated my life to neuroscience and medicine. It is my mission and my sacred vocation. It started back when I began the human anatomy lectures and cadaveric dissection soon after my spiritual vision with my Lord Jesus. I fell love at once with the nervous system realizing it is the key to the Spirit. The nervous system with no doubt is what connects humanity to spirituality. In my vision, I was asked to strive to learn depth and this what I have done. I journeyed thousands of miles away from my home country Egypt and struggled so much to reach my current academic achievement as a Professor of Neurological Surgery and Anesthesiology. I am also fully American Trained and Certified in Four medical and surgical Specialties including Neurosurgery, Anesthesiology, Neurocritical care and Pain Management. So much research I have done to investigate and examine thoroughly the nervous system in many aspects.

As a child growing up in a home with devoted Christians, I devoted my life to my Lord Jesus learning from His words hand in hand as I was growing in medicine and neurosurgery. The orthodoxy spirit is rooted back in the ancient times with prayers, fasting and deep faith in our Lord. Christianity was and is every day of my life.

It was the time to put the thoughts together connecting the Holy Bible with the Human Brain/ Neurosurgery. By one brain and one mind, by one heart and one spirit, I looked and meditated to write such a book in spiritual reflections in human brains and neurosurgery. Human brain and Neurosurgery became for the Holy spirit of Christ and the Spirit of Christ became for the human brain and neurosurgery.

So many years and so much solitude time. My soul and my brain are still thirsty and hungry to know more and much to be revealed. It is the joy of my life to explore the Human Brain and the Spirit of God until His coming in His Glory.

The book is dedicated and tributes to my Love Lord Jesus, to my patients, to my parents, to my mentors, to America and the American heroes, to the persecuted Christians of Egypt and Middle East and worldwide, to the persecuted children, to the women minority, and to all the friends.

Egypt is my dear home country and proud to be raised as one of the Coptic Christian, the ancient Orthodox Christianity of the world from parents devoted Christians with thousands of years of deeply rooted in the upper Egypt, the home of the early Christian martyrs. But one essential fact, if it was not for America, I will have never been able to write while I am alive. PRAYERS BEFORE SURGERY: SPIRITUAL TIME OUT

Time Out is required in all hospitals and medical centers before the start of surgery.

In addition, I have created a "Spiritual Time Out before I start surgery. I wish to introduce the Spiritual Time Out, time to pray and get connected to the almighty Prior to surgery. As much we all busy with physical Time Out" to connect the physical team together, It is important to connect to the Creator.

After a night of prayers going over the surgery step by step

I will join the family prayers

Lord and God Jesus Christ; The True Healer

I am about to do surgery on thou servant–-

This is the body thou created

This is the nervous system thou created in Your Image,

This is the spirit thou breathed

My hand in thou hand

Let this surgery be to thy Glory

In thy Name and intercession of the mother of God and all those who believe in Thy

Amen

Let us be worth to pray:

"Pray then like this: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thou the power, the glory and majesty for and ever, Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen" (Luke 11:2–4)

A Tribute To My Mother And Father

My mother I miss you so much (Sania Found Michael) and my father (Farid Fahmy Ghaly) I miss you so much.

Mother’s heart: why their brains are so loving.

Mothers are so special. The unconditional love, sacrifice and care are beyond human limits. Why???

When our Lord try to find a closer love, he said if the mother forget her baby, I will not because a mom will never leave her child. So Christ love and sacrifice to His children is so eternal and unimaginable.

Mother’s heart is pure, eternal and heavenly. Even in earth where mothers are surrounded with wars of men, hate, selfishness, and ruddiness, mothers spread heavenly love.

While Christ carrying the cross and being humiliated, tortured and crucified by men, the mothers and daughters of Jerusalem woman were weeping. Mothers’ hearts did not find the reason to do so and could not tolerate see Him going through the crucifix. Even the mothers that did not know Him.

It is not a coincidence and it is not hormonal as many think. But it is integral part of the mothers hearts of the brains. It is the breath of God and the love of His Son that handed specially to mothers from generation to generation.

I wrote so many stories of mothers of my patients in my books II and III Christianity and the brain I dedicated my third book to my mother story and her life journey as mother of ten children.

It is so amazing to me that my mother unconditionally loved the ten children equally and much love went to her miscarriage and my little sister that died at the age of one years old. She could no separate herself or drop thinking about both of them. She always said, both are pure angels in heaven and I am going to be with them in Heaven. She loved St Mary, the pure mother of God. I owe my life to my mom and dad, may God repose their souls.

To this note, happy Mother’s Day to you all and many blessing to your hearts. We all speechless to your heavenly hearts.

My mom and dad passed away years ago, but as if it was just yesterday,

They are up high far away from me but never away from my heart,

My dad and mom are gone but both are with me here,

Every day passes it does not make it any easy, I just love them even more as I get to know what I did not know before,

DAY BY DAY–

Day by day, I miss them far more than you imagine,

Many nights I cry in tears and I pray that I can just say hello even for just a second,

I dialed their phone number, I memorized by heart hello mom hello dad waiting to hear their voice, I knocked door wishing to say hi dad, hi mom, I bowed down begging for one more time,

I kept trying to use the science graduating from Yale and Harvard to realize, there is no more physical matters could connect the flesh with the spirit any longer,

There is no telecom system, Face book, Skype, wires or wireless or internet services and the clock, the day, the night and the earthly bylaws are vanished away up high,

THE HUMAN SOUL MUST GO–-

I was told repeatedly that neither the spirit nor the flesh is compatible with each other,

How could I live without my dad and mom and I am part of them and they are part of me?

My mom carried me, cared for me and raised me together with my dad made me who I am,

I heard the whispering voice: Son, it is a different life, different world itbud totally different all together,

Son, it must be this way because there is no other way, one life spirit and the other flesh one down and other above,

Son, it is like a thieve when the time comes, like a vapor and happens no time as our Lord Jesus said, there is no bridge and no transition,

WHY IT MUST BE THIS WAY—

Why that curse of death and why they have to go far as I am about to say Thank You?

They were taken too soon before I could say sorry for what I had done and did not do,

Why they were taken so soon before I could relieve their lifetime burden?

Why they did not live one more day before I could take some of their pains away?

Why it is always the case, my Beloved Lord? But knowing You care for them eases my unrelenting sorrows and sadness.

THEIR SOULS AROUND ME–

My mom and dad are angels flying in joy over me day and night,

Around me, my mom and dad give me strength,

They hold my hand and help me from the missed steps.

In the times of great worries, my mom and dad come and comfort me,

In the times of loss, my mom and dad still run to find me,

In the times of loneliness, my parent come and speaks to me,

In the moments of deep thoughts, my mom and dad guide me,

IN SURGERY–

As I perform surgery, my mom and dad come with my Lord Jesus bless my hands to do the best.

At the end of my surgery, my mom and dad wave at me and say son goodbye for now,

They bless me and bless my patients, roaming around waiving hello,

GOODBYE—

The angels took both of them up but yet, my mom and dad with me always,

Love you forever my Mom and dad; smile and fly free high.

Forever grateful to my mentors; professor of Neurosurgery and his wife: Dr James Ausman and and Dr Antonio Aldrete, Professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Management and Chief. Dr Ausman is a worldwide renown Neurosurgeon and Dr Aldrete, worldwide renown Anesthesiologist and pain specialist contribute. What legends! May our Lord keep you both well for ever more.

Despite being from Egypt, foreigner and not a privileged citizen back 1989, both recognized my passionate in Neuroscience and neurosurgery and anesthesiology, neuroanesthesiology/ neurocrtical care and pain management. Both believed in me and gave me the most competitive position in residencies for these disciplines. Despite the hard time given to them from others and the pressure from their peers, to take my position away, both trusted my potentials and ignored them all.

It was my only dream of my entire life for which I came all the way as Persecuted Christian from Egypt and Egypt denied me my dream because I am a Christian but America believed in me and Dr. Ausman gave me my dream,

It Is Never Enough To Say Thank You America And American Heroes

Today in the Memorial Day, from my heart I say thank you America and thank you American heroes, hate off and my sincere gratitude, one nation one God our Savior Jesus Christ

I urge every person living in America today to say sincerely; Thank you America, Thank you American Heroes, honor them and we all in one breath pledge to sacrifice one way and another to keep and protect our country and the beloved America,—for our children and generations to come America is alive for you all,

It is never ever enough to say thank you to America and American Heroes; never ever enough

As a persecuted Coptic Christian from Egypt where my own country rejected me and my ambition based on my Christian faith, I say thank you America and American heroes to open your doors and make it possible for me to practice my Christian faith and neurosurgery Medicine which would have been impossible otherwise,

Look around you and see what Non-Christiansic satanism is spreading and destroying the American dreams and again America and American Heroes are putting a stop–-Thank you

I am ashamed when I frequently I witness, see and hear that immigrants and new comers to America do not show or believe that because of the American heroes sacrifice, they enjoy the great America and Freedom,

It was long ago as if it was yesterday, but it is the time to remember my love; my beautiful mom and my great dad,

My mom pushed and screamed, she was all alone by the midwife as my dad was watching outside, I was born,

My dad, a teacher, from the time he heard me cry, he named Ramsis following the Ramses the Pharaoh the king of Egypt at Moses time,

By the Sunday school, I attended each week, by the public school I did not miss a day. Life was harsh and hard yet the Love https://www.facebook.com/images/emoji.php/v9/f6e/3/16/2764.png 205146.png and peace at the home https://www.facebook.com/images/emoji.php/v9/fb5/3/16/1f3e1.png 205227.png with my parents and eight sibling was all what I ever dreamed for, At the corner by the room, it was my spot to hide, observe and learn, and every time I thought I am all alone, my mom would turn her head and call my nick name Sees while looking at me with her kind green eyes and smile,

I closed the doors, stayed out of the streets and my time was between the school, the church and home by my mom,

I must learn chapter by chapter, memorized all pages from cover to cover and night before rehearsed the entire ten books of the year by heart,

From one examination to another and from one test to another and from one year to another, and since then it never ever stopped,

Early on, the vision came to strive to be a doctor as my parents sacrificed all their lives and all what they had for me and my brothers and sisters,

My dad was always praying calling upon Lord Jesus Name as he was walking in the morning, at night and every day sweating in works from one village to another, yet my mother at hone day and night raising the eight children one by one in warm blessing and love,

In a night of tears I prayed the Lord Jesus, my Love since I was little, it was the time to know what I should do, it was a vision in the glory of His Castle. He carried a dozen of books as He stood outside the door, called my name and drew the way,

My mom said you must read and keep learning to be a good doctor and never cease learning as my dad kept us inside well protected from the outside,

The brain was the obvious to me as the nervous system where the Lord of Glory find a green passion,

There was no way out of the persecution against the Christians by the Muslims and Islamists, it was cruel as the doors were closing,

It was the time I never forget at Cairo Airport after three years of waiting to find my career and future to America, I hugged my mom and dad as both kissed me with tears https://www.facebook.com/images/emoji.php/v9/f7e/3/16/1f62d.png 205229.png and cries hopping to see me once more and together again away from the difficult time in Egypt,

The time never came back as I lost my parents before I finished my American training–-— since then the tears never left my eyes in guilt and sadness as I wished I should have done more to pay them back a little at minimum

Working in restaurants, cleaning the tables, removing the dirt from the floors, walking barefooted in the streets, looking for jobs in hunger searching jobs at the gas station, café bagels and any following the ways to any signs of Hiring Now or Help Needed while knocking the doors begging for an opportunity to open in medicine, just anything to put my foot at the door, a clinic, research lab, a hospital or university,

I did not know any one and whom I knew ran away, I perhaps did not speak or understand English or common American words, did not know how to complete forms or write great things about myself. I wasn’t familial with American customs or cultures or even etiquettes. I guess I was not prepared, it was all new. Everywhere I went, I was always all alone. I was a real stranger, walking in the streets did not know what was coming or going. My itinerary was almost empty, while my agenda of the day was one word; Neurosurgery,

No way I was told for any chance for me to be a doctor in America and I was told go back to where you came from and when I revealed Neurosurgery is my Dream, I received nothing but mocking and laughs specially from my own community, but I continued leaving no stones unturned,

I said to my soul regardless and whatever I get treated or how many doors shut, America was and is my dream land, my only chance for my Lord dream before me. In Egypt, my Neurosurgery dream was impossible just because I was a Christian believe in the True Lord Jesus. As I studied hard, I got Persecuted more and as I taught myself more, I got humiliated even more and as I dedicated my entire time in the books day and night with no breaks, I was thrown away to a remote village by the Islamists,

While I was all alone in my early adventurous days in America, my Lord Jesus peaked at me and through His kind hands touched me: the patient care became and always has been my center of life through schooling and more schooling, from one training to another training, from a hospital to another, from one call to another, from one ward to another, it is my life, my dreams, my joys and mission,

As God Jesus show them the talents, the doors began to open, I could not believe it, I did not waist no minute, be at the patient bedside, by the sick, in surgery by the operating rooms, to the health libraries, traveling in my own cost to attend Conferences, Conventions, be in the frontiers, learn new things, day and night on call with no outing, 24/7 is the mark for thirty years and even more. It was my joy as it was the glory to the True God of heaven,

My patients became my friends and families while my colleagues became my professionals, but all what was and is, my patients that Loved much and learning as much to give as my Lord and science have given me in abundance,

As my Lord put me in a specialty that once known as No Man Zone, little by little, He is letting me in as my soul explores His Glory in the human brain and the nervous system, little by little my hand is going deeper to remove the offense of pains and headaches

My prayers every day is to comfort, to heal and to save the life for whoever my Lord send in my way, it is my joy to see the smile as my Lord Jesus guard each and every patient to the journey of illness as the ultimate celebration as He brings each to the shore,

So many times I pray to my Lord to rise and visit His people, to open more doors, bring more hopes and heavenly hands, as I hold Him tight and cry in tears If I could do more through Thou hand striving for His Grace appealing to His Mercy,
