    About Galivi

Galivi is a planet almost 10 million light years away, this planet is very primitive planet. They rule like the Medieval time period, this means that there can be an unfair justice, it is punishable by death. This depends on the laws or *CODES* (As the laws are called). The people are called: (Galis). The language that’s spoken is: (Galil.) Galivi is ruled by a King, or in this case an: ‘Aimba.’ a Queen is called an: ‘Aimbis.’ there is a prince, who is called an: ‘Aimic.’ If there is a princess; in the land she would be an: ‘Aimica.’ The rulers on Galivi at this time is: Aimba Athpret, Aimbis Xadian and Aimic Zebron. The royalty are the tallest in the land, The average height of a royal Gali, is from: 6'8 to almost 7' tall in height. That’s how, the Gali’s can tell who is ruling. The average height: of the villagers are anywhere from: '6 1 to '6"4. The woman have long, white iridescent hair that goes down to their knees. Their eyes are: bright pink color or bright lavender. Their skin is a pearl color and they have whitish shimmery mouth, finger nails, and toe nails. The men’s hair is iridescent but not as shimmery, the hair length is about shoulder length. Their skin is the same skin tone but their mouths, finger nails, and toe nails are more dull looking and not as shimmery as the woman. Their eye color is either orange or turquoise blue color.

There are two seasons on Galivi: spring and winter. School is open in spring and school is closed for the winter. Mainly because; in the winter the temperature is almost 10 below freezing. So, the winters are very harsh. One child, can be born to one woman. It is rare for a mother to have more than one child. It is common for a child to die at birth, because of the harsh cold winters even the elderly loose their lives in the cold. Food and water is very scarce in the winter, unless one knows how to survive well in the winter.

A Gali: can Live up to 125 years. The years are called: (Seasons). A baby is called a: (Faya) the faya is born only in the winter, never in the spring. The children are called: (muritis). They leave there families, between the ages of 14-16, to live a life of their own. The muritis can choose, to stay in school until they are 18 seasons old; when they come of age to find a soul mate. (husband and wife.) The school teacher is called: ‘Parga’, meaning teacher. There only woman teachers and very rarely have there been any male teachers. The job titles, are called: ‘Skills.’

There is also, one very skill that the Galis have. A Gali Woman chosen every eighteen seasons, she is called a healer. She chosen by an elder to carry on the tradition to be able to cure or help anyone who isn’t well. She’s like a doctor, or in other terms of a medicine woman. Only, the woman are healers.

There are two main animals, one only royalty and soldiers can have is: the thepator, is about a few feet taller than a Clydesdale horse and the coat is like rabbit fur with long silky mains and tails, but softer and fine like silk. Like horses they are spirited and made for riding or, pulling royalty’s carriage. The thepator colors are mainly gray, white, or brown. The brounts, are what the villagers use, they are like a size of a jersey cow. They are mostly black, white, or tan. The coat of a brount is very long, fine like silk. the coat has a light pleasant scent to them, that stands out. The brounts also have a unique skill, they are great mountain climbers and they can with stand the cold winters which is about 10 below freezing. This also goes for the thepator, they can with stand the cold as well. However; they’re not like the brounts when it comes to mountain climbing, they can’t climb.

In the spring the villagers, shave the coat off the brounts coat sell the coats to weavers, who live in the village. Very few woman have the skill to weave, sew, and dye the coat to make it all into fine materiel for clothes, pillows, and blankets. Only, because of the fact that the brounts coat is so fine and thin it makes coat is hard to work with. The material is very valuable and expensive. Only royalty and soldiers can buy the materiel. In the winter, the brounts grow their coat back.

There are two moons in the season: white in the spring and almost a dark blue in the winter. In the winter festival is held welcoming winter, to wish all villagers a safe winter until spring. There is dancing, games, and music. School and all work activity is out for the winter season.

    1

    Animals of Galivi

BIANIFERN: This is two snout creature; half animal and half plant. It crawls very slowly on the ground. This creature is both a harmless and gentle. The creature has a smooth tan body with a brown tuft on it’s back. Around it’s stomach and down past his back, it drags a long leafy tail. They can grow up to 16 -25 inches long they live only up to six months, it’s a unisex, there have small green, golf ball size green moss; at the end of it’s leaf. These are the eggs that the bianifern caries and at the beginning of winter, right at the first snow fall the creature dies and the eggs absorb the leaves, before they are hatched. The bitter cold doesn’t effect the eggs, come spring new bianiferns are hatched and the life cycle begins. They have a bad odor that can scare away, another creature called the tarridice. The only land creatures that can smell them, and back away. Or if a tarridice is to attack a bianifern, it would die an instant death.

GALATURE: This is a creature, that is a muritis pet, they live in both rivers and the Rion Sea. The galatures also live in the wells too. They are fish like creatures, with delightful sound that claims to be heard only by the muritis themselves. They have a full fanned tail and come in all sorts of colors and sizes they are soft to the touch. However they are poisonous to the Gali’s if they are taken out of the water, it’s like a bleach or chemical burn it won’t kill but it’s very painful, sadly these delicate creatures are killed and spread around big holes in the woods or even around fields to kill and destroy the tarridice.

HARRUSU BEETLE: A four legged bug, that’s about 2-4 inches round. They have a, long needle nose. These beetles, are very deadly creatures. They are blood suckers and they can kill. They come out at night right at the beginning of spring, they don’t like bright colors, so wooden window shutters are painted in bright colors so the harrusu beetle doesn’t come near the huts at night. They can fly at a rather fast pace.

KEIKKETT: A rare and beautiful white and lavender birds, it’s very much like the size of pterodactyl. They mate every seven seasons and they live only in the very high mountains south of Galivi, these are very sacred birds. This is the keikkett, that is believed that a young muritis will be chosen to rise up and become a shape shifter, to turn into both a muritis and a keikkett. This keikkett will end all wars of Galivi.

SELEDON: A very large dinosaur like creatures, with a long neck about 59 inches tall. They have long, stubby legs like of an elephant. It has a turtle like shell that it’s on it’s back with a long tail. This too, is a gentle creature that anyone can come up to it and pet it. The skin has a bumpy feeling and the males have a copper tone diamond shape on it’s forehead. The females don’t have it, they hibernate in the winter and come out in the spring, they live mostly on another part of the land called Arlaa Isle and travel west to Galivi going east to the far west. The seladons love both land and water and they can adapt and live in both land and water. They can hibernate in caves or in the sea during the winter.

TARRIDICE: A creature that travels, in what is called GROUPS they stands 6- 10 tall, they have faces like a rat and bodies of a deer with a long tail like a rat and paws of a cat. The tarridice aren’t good climbers but they can jump and use their claws to cling on to rocks or other smooth high places. They can’t swim so they don’t get very close to big rivers or waterfalls. Unless they see food and attack without drowning themselves. The leader has one antler, in the middle of it’s head. These creatures are in deed carnivores, they attack at anything and anyone. The only thing that can kill them is the galature or avoid getting too close to the bianifern. The advantage to killing a tarridice, if one can kill the leader. No tarridice can survive without the leader, they would die on their own or if their lucky they can join another group. If they are accepted. If not, it would be a battle to the death if any tarridice was to try to fit into another group and try to take over.

YONARD: This is a bird about like the keikkett, only they have reddish pale green colors. It comes out every five seasons around winter, they are carnivores as well. They mate about each year they have poor eyes sight, they are attracted to movement and bright lights and colors. They have keen sense of hearing and they have a poor sense of smell. It’s tail has a spade at the end of it. It can be used to smash things with it. It is a very deadly creature.

    Plant Life of Galivi

ARLET ROOT: This is a healing plant, that helps with deep wounds It has a very foul order. It’s an antidote for the *Blacurn thorns*.

BLACURN THORNS: In the spring, the bush has lovely green leaves, that aren’t dangerous at all to the touch. In the winter, the leaves fall off and dangerous sharp thorns grown it the place of leaves. The very tips of the thorns have poisons sap that can kill, if not caught with in the hour. They leave horrible scares or causes a great deal of nerve damages or even loss of eye sight.

DESERT ROOT: A rare root, is the color and the size of delicious apple. The meat in side the fruit is like white chalk. PLARSHAW BUSH: This plant is like a tall bush, that grows a four leaf flower, It’s small like an average four leaf clover, the flower is in bloom for a about a month. It blooms right when the snow starts to melt and a month later the flowers die. If you make a wish and crush the flower your wish comes true. You have about the same chance of your wish coming true when wishing on a star.

SPLUSH: It’s like a thick stem from tree leaves to make a dipping sauce. Splush is sort of bitter taste to keep the sweetness down.

SRONE: It’s very bitter, it’s a bright red leaf it’s bunched up like broccoli but it’s very sour and a little bit of * tarr fruit* will bring down the sour flavor.

TARR FRUIT: It’s like a plum, purple on the outside, with a slimy green in the middle very, very sweet to eat and very juicy.

THRINE: It’s a vegetable stock that is green, on the outside and yellow in the inside and it’s mild, salty flavor vegetable.

TOOR: It’s the root of plarshaw bush, to make the soup broth it does have a mild salty flavor. It’s added to the kull.

It comes from a very tall tree, the outer wax like shell is melted and is used for things like cloth paper, twa is pressed and formed like paper but it feels like cloth and it has a waxy feel to it, and it’s easy to write on. The, excess oil left over from the twa flattening the cloth paper, is used for lanterns and oil lamps. The raw or unpressed wax is mixed and blended into coal that looks and feels like crayon. It’s called a coal stick used for writing on cloth paper. The inner twine, is called Rayaash. very thin and long like spaghetti, it’s cotton soft this is woven into fabric for clothing and pillows, it’s also very inexpensive and this what the villagers ware.

    CHAPTER 1

    Where Are We?

The sun was high in the sky shining brighter then ever, there; the space pod sat sideways in the desert sand. The top of the space pod was open and a desert man in a hooded cloak came over to the space pod, he looked in side and it was dark inside. when he took off the hood of his cloak. He felt around with his hand for some steps or something, that he could get inside the space pod. When he did, he climbed down the ladder. The man didn’t know what it was he did, but when he was moving around in the dark, he put his hand on something and all the lights came on so he was able to see better. He screamed jumped back a little, he calmed down and began looking looked at the bright lights on a metal box. Then he heard a ‘ssssshhhh’ sound and he turned around and saw that glass doors being raised up and he saw a man, woman, and the little girl seated in separate chairs. This is the Alton family asleep and they all seemed unharmed. The man is elderly he’s tall with short iridescent hair, that’s light yellow-green. His, eyes were a blue turquoise, his face was sunk in. He’s mostly skin and bone. He gave them a drink of water and took a desert root and fed that to them, to keep them a sleep. Although he appeared to be frail, he was very strong, he carefully; one by one picked up the Alton family to take them out of the space pod and placed them into a cart. He used some blankets to cover the family to keep them warn and placed some small pillows under their heads to be more comfortable. The man got up into the cart and called to his brount to move on. When arriving at his sand hut, at a rather fast pace. A woman stepped out of the hut when she heard something coming up to her and she wasn’t looking very happy, when the man pull up.

Shivarties I have asked you, not to hurry so much! Our brount is too old for this, he needs his rest and he is all we have! She nagged.

I ask of you to silence yourself, Benthious, my soul mate! Shivarties said, nearly scolding her, when he stopped and got down off the cart to lead Benthious to the Alton Family who was in the back of the cart still asleep.

Benthious this is a family of three, that I found. They are most strange to us. I found them in a metal hut and I can’t even explain where they are from. Their clothes are different too, Shivarties said, like he was proud of what he found. He then described in the space pod.

What if they are dangerous? I hate to think what would happen to us if they are dangerous. Benthious said, getting a little upset. She then looked more closely at the woman’s hair, This family may not be a family, the woman’s hair isn’t braided with a bead in it. That is a mystery to us, all woman has to have a braid with a bead. Unless where ever they’re from, must not have beads and braids.

I know how your feeling, I noticed that too, I also gave them some water and some desert root to keep them asleep. However; this small one, she is special and I can see the stars of Galivi love her all ready. Shivarties said, as he looked around the desert.

I don’t like the idea of using the desert root, to keep a family asleep. This is a rare root, Benthious said, shaking her head. If this root is ever given without a purpose, an accidental dose can send anyone to the stars. Just our luck, this won’t happen to this family.

I was careful about how much to give, I know the side effects, it will leave a bitter after taste in there mouth. The taste of water or a bite of food would make it worse……Well, just for an hour or so. Then all will be back to normal at least for us, I don’t know how it would work on this family. Shivarties said, as he looking across the desert. We can’t leave them here in the desert, they won’t survive out here without help.

I quite agree, however; if this is a family and we turn them over to royalty there would be no telling what Aimba Athpret would do. Knowing him, he doesn’t take a liking to anything new. We can break the code and go to Habivitara, after we drop off the family at Galivi. We just take them to a cave somewhere, that way this situation is out of our our hands and long forgotten. We won’t have to answer to anyone, the family is well asleep and when they wake up, they will be on their own in the woods, where they would have a better chance to survive. Benthious said, as she looked around in the hut. I have thought about leaving the desert anyway. Most of us, elders have died here in the desert well, it’s very lonely here and some of us have headed to Habivitara.

Shivarties, nodded his head like he agreed, We just have to pray to the stars, that the family will be well and protected. Shivarties paused, as he felt a breeze blow across the desert, it’s best we pack up our belongings. The sooner we leave the better and we need to be careful that we don’t put anything heavy on the family."

    *     *     *

Benthious and Shivarties moved all that they could form their hut and started off on a five day journey. The journey ended when they found a cave in a wooded area and in the middle of no where. Shivarties and Benthious left the Alton family in a cave as they planed. Benthious left two good size jars with with some water and a little bit to of something to eat, that was also in one of the jars. Shivarties and Benthious wished the family well and left to continue to head to Habivitara………

Two days later, Ian was first to wake up and noticed something wasn’t right. First he tasted some sort of a bitterness in his mouth. He wasn’t sure, if that even came from the vapors from the space pod or just dry mouth. His vision was a bit of a blur, so he carefully felt around the ground and noticed the surface felt like rock and not metal. That was the first clue, he wasn’t in the space pod. After a few minutes after getting his eyes adjusted, looked around and saw he was in a shallow cave, the sides were a gray color and it was very smooth. The opening of the cave was pretty wide and Ian could see from where he was sitting that there was a whole new world out there waiting for him and his family. There were trees almost 150 feet tall, at least and full of big, beautiful, luscious green leaves. He saw all sorts of big beautiful flowers that were bright red with yellow stripes and fern like plants with long leaves, that bent over, the very tips of the fern touched the ground. The place was like a paradise and above all the air was clean and fresh. When Ian tried to get up, he fell on the ground, he sat up and shook his head and trying to get his eyes adjusted. When he was able to see straight, Ian, tried once more to stand up, but his lags felt too much like jelly that he sat back down. After a few more minutes, Ian finally stood up to start walking, he was a little shaky but he was all right.

Ian…Ian…. Sheryl said, trying to hold her head up, she was sitting up against the wall.

Sheryl, it’s okay. Ian said, as looked at her he then wen over to her and held her. He adjusted her to where she was laying on the ground, to be more comfortable. Your very weak so stay where you are. Ian said, as he kissed her on the forehead.

Wow! My vision is pretty blur and I do see at the same time two of you….. and the both of you are very handsome, Sheryl said, as she lightly smacked and licked her lips like there was a bad taste in her mouth. I never knew, the vapor would leave an after taste like that. Sheryl said.

Thanks and I see one of you and she’s very beautiful. Ian smiled and giggled a little. I wish I wasn’t in competition with anyone. Ian said, with a smiling at Sheryl.

About the after taste, I’m tasting that too. To continue on, I was first to wake up and noticed we’re not in the space pod anymore. Some how, we were found and brought to the cave, Ian said, looking around.

We’re not, in a space pod? I don’t understand. Sheryl, said panicking a little, she was still a little disoriented, so she really didn’t know that she’s in a cave. So, what happened to the space pod?

I don’t understand it myself, I think someone found the space pod left it alone where ever that may be and left us alone here in this cave. Ian said, as he picked up the two jars. They looked and felt like ceramic pottery, they were short, maybe about 110 inches tall and about 10 inches wide. The lid was a flat top with a little knob like handle to use to lift the top off. They were light weight, tan, dark brown, swirled around giving it a marble look to it. One jar was filled with water and one filled with a dry something of some sort. Someone left us something, to eat and drink it looks like. Ian said, as he tasted the water, then he spit out. The water’s bitter! I don’t know if it’s the water it’s self or just the bitterness from my mouth. Ian added, as he then tried the dried stuff, it was tough and sweet at the same time, what ever this dried stuff is, it actually tasted pretty good, it’s like dried fruit of some sort. Well, who ever left this for us, I’m thankful for that. I presume, we can take the jars with us.

Maybe it’s just the water that’s bitter? Sheryl asked.

I don’t know, I don’t even know who left us here and why. What ever the reason, wer’e now left here alone to survive on our own, Sheryl then looked over at Susan, who was still a sleep.

Susan….Susan…..can you hear me? It’s Mom. Sheryl took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment to let her vision improve.

Sheryl she’s fine, she probably got a good dose of vapor, more so, we did, Ian said, going to Sheryl and Susan, to sit with with his family. It was then that Sheryl got her legs under her more.

I want to try to stand up, Sheryl said, looking around to find something to hang on to, while she was going to try to stand up.

Be careful when trying, your going to be a little weak at the knees. Ian said, as he was holding Sheryl’s arm and supporting her back to help her up.

Whoooooow!………you weren’t kidding about weak legs. Sheryl said, as she slowly fell to the floor of cave. This is a fine kettle of fish, were in a cave and no space pod……..Is this really real? Sheryl asked, as she sat up.

I believe it is, it’s taking me time to figure this all out my self. Ian paused for a moment. Please, I want you to try once more to stand up, we need to know more about where were at and try to find the space pod……. If we can.

Sheryl tried once more and felt dizzy, she leaned up on the side of the cave to gain her balance. When she no longer felt dizzy, she began walking and she was feeling better. She took a long stretch, yawned and went back to Ian to sit back down with him. Well at least now that my eyes adjusted, I can see only one of you, actually I like the other one he’s a lot cuter.

Very funny Sheryl……Very funny…. Ian said, as he rolled his eyes and ignoring the sarcasm.

Moooom……Mooooom. I whispered, as dad came over to me. I’m scared. I said as, I too was trying to get my eyes adjusted. I couldn’t, I just kept them open, so I closed my eyes. Mom helped me to sit up, as Dad, put his hands on my knees. I slowly opened my eyes, in doing so. I was seeing double dads. Dad explained, that it was going to take some time to adjust. Mom gave me a small sip of water, I too notice the bitter after taste I could only make faces, I was still almost too weak to talk. He explained to me, that we were in a cave and that he didn’t know what became of the space pod.

Susan, it’s okay take your time. It took me some time to get up and get moving. I wouldn’t worry too much about the after taste, that will be there for a while.

What part of Earth, have we landed on? I asked, now that I was seeing one Dad and not two.

I don’t know Jumping Bean, we may not even be on Earth. We may have to explore and try to find food and shelter, then, we go from there, Dad said, who was wishing he had all the answers. Susan I have to tell you, there’s no telling where the space pod is, right now, were in a cave and there’s no more to tell, Dad said, as I nodded and agreed that there was no more to question.

Yikes! Mom said, trying once more as she stood up, just so she could stretch out again. She almost, lost her balance again and almost fell, What was in the vapor, liquor? I had no idea sitting and traveling through space would be like this."

What’s liquor? I asked still feeling tired.

It’s a strong drink only adults could have it, It makes you feel the way we feel right now. Dad said, with a smile as Mom remained, standing up she felt like her stretches were non stop.

Where ever we are, I hope, I don’t get a hold of it, Mom said, as she waited for me to try to stand up. I tried, but I just lightly fell to the ground of cave and into Dad’s arms I think my legs, turned into Jell-o. I said, sounding a drowsy.

Take your time Jumping Bean, we’re in no rush, Dad said, as I Mom was coming to me."

I would like to know, how long we’ve been traveling. All your bruises and scrapes disappeared, I said, as I looked at Dad and Mom noticed it too. Sorry, Susan, I can’t answer that. We could have been here for an hour, a month. I don’t have an answer and of course we don’t have our space pod, if we did I could probably tell you more.

It was then, that I was encouraged to try to stand up again, I was doing pretty well. I saw my parents looking at me like they were worried about me, so I could now feel the wheels in my head turning. I then turned my back, because I didn’t want my family to see the sly look on my face and it was then……I just plopped on the ground.

Susan! Mom said, as she came over to me and Dad followed. Are you, all right?

Just kidding, I said, as I stood up and lightly laughing.

That’s hardly a joke, Mom said, sternly.

Well, You were joking about seeing two Dad’s, so what’s the difference between your joke and my joke about falling? I asked, as I gave a sly foxy look to my family.

Well, your brilliant daughter got you there, Dad said, as he ruffled my hair. I like your joke, your just like an Alton.

I’m glad someone thinks so, Mom said, as she looked around the place.

Once we got better, she and I looked in the jars and saw water in one jar and the dried something -or- another, in another jar. We all bit into the thing we ate and spit that out, it was pretty bitter. Then the three of us took a sip of water and we all spit it out, it was pretty bitter, Who ever left this stuff for us must like bitter things. The water and the what- ever- it is we just bit into, is all bitter. Mom said, as she dumped out the water and the stuff we bit into out side the cave. Mom and I each carried a jar, only the fact that they were so pretty and I’m sure we were able to put some use into them.

It was time we wondered out of the cave, once we got our balance and was really able to walk without any problems. Now, my family walked out of the cave and then there was a whole world out side the cave. I never in my life saw so many trees, plants, and flowers. Everything was so clean and fresh. Where ever we are, I knew, I was going to be happy here. He walked for a good while, there was no way of knowing how long we were walking. The funny thing was, none of us knew where are space pod went to.

It’s one thing for sure, with everything being so clean, there’s no way we can be on Earth, Dad said, as he stopped to look around. It would be, nice if there’s a trail or something we can follow.

Is that a waterfall? Mom asked, as we got quiet for a moment or so. By darn, it’s a water fall, Mom said, as we all got excited and went towards the sound, sure enough we were at a shallow river bank and to the left of us was a huge cliff with a waterfall coming down, it was as high as high can be.

Dad put his hands on his, hips and began thinking really hard. I want to try to drink the water, there is still a bitter taste in my mouth, Dad said, as he paused. For now, let’s freshen up the best we can. Let’s not drink anything for a moment or two, until the bitterness goes away if it should. We can try some of that dried stuff again and maybe then the bitterness will start to go away.

Ian I believe, I made a mistake, I tossed out the stuff we bit into it was bitter. Sorry, I guess we shouldn’t have been that picky. Mom said as Dad rolled his eyes.

Well no matter, I’m sure if we look around a bit, we’re bound to find something to eat or maybe find someone who can help, if there is someone out here that can help, Dad said. Well, let’s just get cleaned up the best we can.

Mom and I followed Dad’s instructions and we just started lightly bath in, washing our hair, hands, feet, and bare arms. Then, Dad was first to taste the water, he dipped his hands in the water and put his hands up to his mouth to take a sip, to see if the bitterness went away, then he waited, for a moment.

I think the water is safe to drink, I now believe that the bitterness came from the jars and not the vapors, he said, as Mom and I followed Dad’s lead and drank from our hands and I was pretty good. We then filled the two jars with water and after a few minutes, we put the jars in the grass where we weren’t going to forget them and Dad was first to start a splash war, it was all fun and we were free. No savage hunters, no president, just celebrating that we enjoying life to the fullest……For a change.

When we got tired the three of us went to grass where the jars were and just laid down to rest. For a while; maybe minutes, maybe hours, but who was counting? We then got up with our jars and walked
