The Third Entity: Life and Nonlife—The Connection Between Them
()
About this ebook
Where do you fit in when it comes to life on the earth and in the universe? Do you have questions that are rarely asked—or questions that are even more rarely answered? Religion, poetry, books, and indigenous knowledge can provide some answers, but we don’t have explanations for everything, and we are by nature curious life-forms.
The Third Entity: Life and Nonlife—The Connection between Them takes us on a journey to discover the answers and solutions to our world’s most elusive scientific and philosophical questions—and it even answers some plain commonsense questions too. We will learn how the third entity connects together life and nonlife through intelligence, and author Marc D. Garrett explains how we can attain this intelligence—and moreover, he shows us what that means for finding our purpose in this life.
Why are you here? To stop war and misery? To help your fellow brothers and sisters in humanity? To seek answers to life’s most fundamental questions? Whatever your specific purpose and destiny, you can positively change your life by making a difference and being part of the solution. The Third Entity can help guide you toward the solution, so try it out and see where you fit in.

Introduction
HERE WE SIT.
We don’t know anything about where the physical universe came from or what it might be transforming into—expanding or contracting or grinding to a halt and staying that way. We don’t know anything about how life formed or in which way it may be transforming. Gravity is a complete mystery, and the connection between life and nonlife existence is a wild guess at best.
We have religion, poetry, books,
