About the Author
map.jpgI deaciate this novel to everyone at O’charley’s,my boys Chris,Speed, and Mark mom, my nephew, my sister, and the rest of my family, and my three best friends during childhood: David Floyd jr.,Cedrick Burton, and Travis Muarry. To the women of my life that I care about Crystal,Akiel, and Brandi Elloit.
What was once lost is found again and on it is the Ancient
Prophecy. Long ago an evil was unleashed on an
unsuspecting world, and with that world almost to its
knees; will come a man born to bring words of hope.
Once the path has been laid, then will come He who is
Summoned to rid this world of an ancient evil, and then he
will destroy the Circle of Darkness, and bring peace to this
world again.
The world around them is fading fast, what was once a
utopia; has turned into a land run and ruled by blood fiends.
Over time it will begin to fade away, but not long forgotten.
Faces and spaces have changed or evolved, but time has stood
still. Every few hundred years it begins again, but this time
something is out of sorts. Is it because the sun rises in the west and sets in the east?
Darkness has now swallowed all existence as the blood
fiends control everything.
Prologue:
The Beginning
In a time long forgotten along with its past, there was a land called ’Ally. ‘Ally was a simple land, with simple people, and simple rules. Though overcrowded its people got along well with each other. The T’ally and the Call’von Rivers split the upper part of the land, in half, in the half bottom of the land lay the E’son river. The land of Ancient ‘Ally was a beautiful land made up of a lot of hills and plateaus. The huge land had four main cities the capital was E’ally, and then there was F’ally, S’ally, and T’ally. E’ally had the largest population out of all the cities. E’ally’s roads were packed hard with dirt and were long and winding, there was a lot of farmlands that dotted the whole countryside. The seasons came and went from fall to winter, winter to spring, and from spring to summer, the land had numerous natural resources oil, iron ore, and coal. There was a local family that got rich off the land, their name was the Carrs. The Carrs had a huge farm at the edge of E’ally; it was equipped with the largest sheep herder’s pen in the city. The barn itself was set against a meadow that the Carrs had on the back of the property. Since the Carr farm was the largest producer of dairy products in E’ally, all local markets brought their product from them. The Carrs had two kids, both whom were fifteen. Michael was somewhat of a dreamer, plus he was really smart, he also ran the day to days on the farm. Michael was five’ eleven and about a medium build. Judy was almost the exact opposite of her brother; she was very outgoing and her temper always got her in trouble. Judy was five’ seven
and very slim, she was also very feisty and was headstrong. Judy normally just would help her mother out in the kitchen, and would occasionally muck out the horse stalls if needed. The main house was made up of straw-like bricks the only house in E’ally with those types of bricks. The house was made up of three bedrooms, and had a separate kitchen away from the rest of the house. It was a day like no other; noon was the time by the way the sun was positioned in the sky. Michael and his father had been out mending fences all morning, they were about to come in for lunch when a horse whined in the distance, after hearing the sound both Michael and Mr. Carr looked out across the dirt road.
The horse was pulling a carriage; inside the carriage was a very rich family, whom made the trek across a huge body of water in order to arrive here in E’ally. That family was the Seals; their butler was on the top the coach allowing the horse to lead the carriage. Inside the carriage sat four people Mr. Seal, Mrs. Seal, Vuther Seal and Angela Seal. Vuther wasn’t your average teenager; first of all he was six foot four inches at fifteen years old. He was the cocky type, plus he was very head strong. His build was very muscular, and he was the high horse type. Angela on the other hand was somewhat shy, a little too reluctant, but she was very eager. She was average height standing about five foot five, but she was very curvy. The carriage neared the Carr house; Michael had been plowing the field when the carriage rolled to a stop. Michael stopped what he was doing and raced to the front of their house. Judy and her mother were just putting the finishing touches on lunch, when in came in Michael. Judy looked at her brother, and frowned, and then she raised an eyebrow. What’s wrong?
Michael looked from his sister to his mother before he answered. We have company.
Mrs. Carr brushed her off hands, Really, well shall we greet our guests?
As they finished talking there was a knock at the door. Mrs. Carr walked to the front with Michael and Judy right behind her; she opened the door and smiled. The Seal family was standing in the doorway, Vuther stepped forward first. Good afternoon, good people my name is Vuther Seal and this is my family.
Mrs. Carr extended her hand, Pleased to meet you, I’m Tonya Carr and this is my kids Michael and Judy.
Judy stepped forward and shook hands with Vuther they shared a private smile; her brother shyly hung back and stared at the ceiling although he did occasionally stare at Angela, and then out of the blue someone mentioned lunch. That got everyone moving toward the kitchen, along the way the Mrs. Seal was checking out their house. You have a lovely home; may I ask what kind of bricks are those?
Mrs. Carr smiled this woman had great taste. Thank you, the bricks are made out of straw and mud.
Vuther’s sister was looking around as well, Oh, really that’s very interesting.
Michael and Angela continued to remain quiet, but they did continue to flash smiles at each other. After lunch everyone headed back outside, Mr. Carr had just finished the plowing. He turned to Michael; totally ignoring everyone else Why did you run off without finishing your work?
Michael cleared his throat, Dad, we have company.
Mr. Carr quickly looked around, I’m sorry, where are my manners. My name is Joseph Carr.
This time Mr. Seal cut in front of his son, in order to greet Mr. Carr. Michael had been watching Vuther for some time now and now he began to frown openly at Vuther’s behavior. He shook his head, he did not like this Vuther character. His eyes scanned the room until they fell on Angela, his heart jumped to his throat in a matter of minutes. His eyes popped out of his head, the girl was gorgeous. First of all she was very curvy, and she had a pretty smile. Judy smirked before she leaned over and whispered to her brother, Don’t you think you need to pick your lip up off of the ground?
Angela whom had been watching the whole time smiled shyly at him. Michael ducked his head and then he cleared his head and tuned back in to what was being said, So where are you from?
Mr. Carr asked. Mr. Seal leaned forward and then he began speaking earnestly, We are from the other side of the map, from a place called L’angton.
Michael then turned his attention back to Vuther and his sister.
Do you all want to see the rest of the city of E’ally?
Although he was speaking to everyone it was Angela who answered him. Yes, thanks I would love that.
He smiled; he was in love with this woman. Alright then let’s go.
The adults were in deep conversation, so they didn’t see their children wander off. Judy led the way, since she was more familiar the city. They began to pass other farms along the way, Vuther watched as the city began to open up before him. He turned to Judy, So who owns the biggest farm?
We do, all the local markets receive their products from us. Vuther nodded in response, he couldn’t help staring at Judy’s lips they were so full and pouting. He was intrigued by the rest of her body as well, from her face all the way down to her toes. Michael was just trying to keep up with everyone, although he did keep peeking at Angela from under his lashes. Finally they approached the main road that lead to the heart of E’ally, as they trekked on Michael and Judy kept pointing out the nearby sights, from the old warehouse to the smaller markets. Two minutes later they were standing at the entrance to the city itself, Angela was very impressed by it all. There was a fountain in the very center of E’ally, the shops and the houses formed a circle around the Fountain; and it was a magnificent site. On the ground around the city cobblestones were laid out as road for the horse and carriages. Judy wasn’t even paying attention to the tour; she was busy gazing into Vuther’s eyes. Michael glanced at his sister and sighed,
Hold on a second you guys."
Everyone began to slow up waiting for him to continue. There’s a mountain overlooking the city that’s a little private, and very romantic.
Judy looked at her brother in shock, and here she thought he was shy. Michael stepped forward and offered his arm out for Angela to take looked at Vuther then she hurried ahead of them. Vuther smiled as they began to walk toward the mountain, Now that they were alone Judy wanted desperately for Vuther to kiss her. Vuther looked into her beautiful hazel eyes, I think my sister and your brother like each other.
Her eyes widened in surprise, How did you arrive at that conclusion?
He looked away and frowned she was very protective of her brother. "What you don’t think Angela is right for him?
No, I didn’t say that, it’s just that what you said kind of took me off guard. You see Michael is very shy when it comes to girls; That’s all.
Chill, girl I was just playing. Judy, just for a moment looked into Vuther’s eyes, when he caught her staring she smiled then looked away. Michael and Angela had traveled a little further in order to be alone,
So how old are you?
I’m fifteen, what about you?
I’m fifteen also. Suddenly Michael looked at the ground; he was a little embarrassed at looking at Angela so hard.
I’m sorry I didn’t mean to stare at you.
Why are you sorry?
I like you a whole lot, I think you are very beautiful. After saying this Michael ducked his head and then he began to scan the ground, a bluebird squawked nearly causing them to jump out of their shoes. The wind began to pick up a little causing the temperature to drop.
I think we should start to head back to the house. Angela suggested. Michael nodded his head but, only in reluctance. He was somewhat disappointed, because he didn’t get a response. The They both turned back to the path, and began walking back towards downtown E’ally. After a moment they caught back up to Judy and Vuther, Judy begin to frown at her brother, she started to speak when Michael answered her question.
I think its time to head back home.
We just get here. Judy tried to explain.
You know mom and dad are probably getting worried. Surprisingly Vuther spoke in defense of Michael,
Michael’s right it is getting late. Six eyes stared at him in surprise; Michael had a look of shock on his face; and he quickly shook his head. After little arguing they finally decided that they should head back to the house. Judy was almost furious with him taking Michael’s side like that, and here she thought Vuther was different. To her horror he was just another goody two shoes. She sighed maybe she could go back to talking to Mat at least he was willing to try new things. She knew that Michael liked Vuther’s sister, to her she was alright. She would have her out of the way soon enough. Angela silently watched her new friends; she really wanted to watch Judy, because she just didn’t trust her. In the back of her mind she began to wonder how Michael could like her, when they just met. Secretly she liked Michael also; she just wasn’t ready to admit it. She felt they just needed to take it slow, they all were silent until they reached the dirt road. All kind of things were running through Vuther’s head at that very moment. Some thoughts were good and some thoughts were bad. For a second he thought about killing Michael, just so he could get close to Judy, she was his type of woman tall, feisty, and very sexy. He smiled to himself at that last thought. Sometimes when he was by himself he liked to imagine that he was a different person or animal. Vuther quickly shook his head clear, and then he snapped by to the present. It was beginning to get dark; the road was now completely dark. The moon popped into view, and the stars gathered around it. Angela started to get a scared as she could no longer see anything in front of her.
Vuther where are you?
Angela I’m over here com down, hold on to my hand. She reached out and took hold of his hand; finally they made it back to the Carr house. Their parents were standing outside waiting on them.
Where have you all been? Mrs. Carr asked.
We were just showing them the city. Michael said.
Oh, that’s okay but next time say something. It was now time for dinner, the Carrs and the Seals all gathered around the small table.
Alright we have one extra bed room, so Mr. and Mrs. Seal can take that, Vuther will stay with Michael, and Angela will stay with Judy. Mr. Carr said. After the table was cleared the adults sent the kids to bed, while they talked for a while. Michael went to the hall closet and grabbed four blankets and four pillows. Judy led Angela to her room, when she saw Judy’s room she was in awe. It was so big and spacious; she had queen- sized bed with matching covers. In the corner Judy had a table and a small lamp; it was obviously her make-up table. Judy was looking very bored; she wished Vuther was in her room instead of his sister. A sudden idea came to her,
Michael, Vuther come hear a minute. A few moments later Michael entered the room followed by Vuther.
What’s going on sis I’m tired, you know?
Lets switch roommates, Angela can stay with you, and Vuther will stay with me. She saw Michael’s eyes light up, and then he quickly ducked his head and looked down. Judy smiled that was his way of being nervous, Vuther was silently watching in the background, but he too was smiling at the idea. She turned her attention to Angela, Angela was trying not to smile but she couldn’t hide it either. Satisfied Judy took Vuther’s hand and pulled him into her room, the door closed behind them. Michael sighed then he turned his attention to Angela,
Let’s go, but
