About this ebook

Within each of us, there is a spark, a light in our souls that never dies. It is the gift that is divine, which God has given us. It takes the form of art, math, teaching, writing, poetry, counseling, and something magical. The darkness of the world and the illusions of technology have distracted us with their illusions and images of who we are not, instead of helping us find the light inside ourselves, which is the gift from God. I wanted to write a series of poems that encourage others to find the light in their souls and, in the process, be happy doing what they are supposed to be doing and being who they are meant to be instead of wasting their lives away, trying to please others and the images of who others want them to be. Within each of us, there is a spark of the divinethe soul, your light. We need you to find the light within yourself so you can shine with your light and make the world a less dark and a happier place. This is my soul, and these are my words.

    Dedications

I dedicate this book to Birgit (mor) Kristoffersen with all my heart.

When no one believed in me or my work—you were always there for me and for that I will always love you as my lifetime friend. Je Elske Dai (I love you in Danish). God bless your soul.

I dedicate this book to all the Archangels and angels of Heaven and Earth.

Although our people have forgotten—I know you are there, and I will always be grateful for your love and protection. May God bless your souls in the heart of Christ Forever, Amen. It is for you that I keep fighting.

I dedicate this book also to all the young people of the world gay and straight and transgendered. Healthy, or with a disability. You are the light of the world and don’t let the darkness diminish your light—shine brightly my children. I love you so much.

And of Course, To Christ and God and the Holy Spirit. I am nothing without you. You have always had my soul and heart. My soul will always belong to you. I have never betrayed you like I have been betrayed in this lifetime.

I hope my words inspire you to shine.

    POEM I

    Emerge

As the sun closes, a new life begins

As beauty fades, another flower is born

As the tears of your eyes clear, my heart rejoices

As the waves retreat from the flooded world, the earth heals again

As your doubts, seem to take over, your confidence returns

As you push me away, my love becomes stronger from being alone

As I learn to love myself, soon I will find another who really cares

As I care about you, the sacred waves of my mind light the dark corners

As the dark corners clear and purify themselves from evil, the sparks of our souls emerge—

    Emerge.

As the pyramids were built, new messages for God were written

As the sadness broke the lives of many, the angels were repairing damaged hearts

As you feel lost, something else is coming to bring you hope

As you walk away from love, someone will find you more wonderful

    Emerge.

As the sun closes, a new life begins

As the dark corners clear and purify themselves from evil, the sparks of our souls emerge—

    Emerge.

    POEM II

    Reveal Yourself to Me

    Reveal yourself to me,

I live in this fragile freedom

    Fragile

    This strengthened fortress,

They left me alone here, they left me—

Narratives written by candlelight, by the light

    I have always been,

    By the light.

The passing of time, time so gentle, so ephemeral

    Short-lasting,

    This fragile freedom

What are the stories that I still have within me,

    Within,

What is it that compels my soul to write these words

    That sometimes I don’t understand

And is poetry the right form to express

    What is inside my heart?

So many questions, leading to more questions
