About this ebook
Edmond E. Shumpert
The author describes how Science supports Genesis and the God hypotheses. He has prayed, studied, compared and contemplated Genesis and Science for the past nine years. He wrote this book with high school and college students in mind and those who wonder how God created everything out of nothing. He hopes to help Christians to “Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.” 1 Peter 3:15 – scripture quoted from NASB

Every Human Being
That there are what I or anyone would call supernatural forces at work is now, I think, a scientifically proven fact.
–Robert Jastrow¹ - astronomer, physicist, cosmologist
God, does not live in time, He is eternal, The Existing One
; therefore, He can see all the things He created from the beginning of the universe to the present time as a blur of activity of six days, or, He can see them as a long drawn-out process of 13.7 billion years – whichever He pleases. And, since scientists have proven that God created the universe out of nothing, He could certainly create everything in Genesis 1:1-26 unimaginably rapidly in six days, six thousand years ago.—Edmond E. Shumpert 2016
INTRODUCTION
For many years I have thought, meditated and prayed about our problem with the proponents of Darwin’s Origin of Species
, the so-called theory of evolution, which they claim to be a scientific fact as opposed to what they call the mythical scriptures in Genesis 1:1-26 and all the rest of the Bible.
Genesis 1: 1-26 is an amazing, complete, and beautiful synopsis on just one page. Therefore, Moses could not possibly have gone into much detail on any of the six days he describes. Because there is not much detail in any synopsis, each statement is very important. And when there is very little information in a scripture and later discoveries are made which can explain its meaning better, they can lead to the explanation of that scripture. There is one scripture in the New Testament which helps our understanding of creation, it is 2 Peter 2:8 where he explains God’s mastery of time.
I think the best way we can find the needed agreement about Genesis 1: 25 and 26 is by deciding whether the interpretation of possible critics, or my interpretation is a better answer to the questions about these two scriptures. But when a discussion ends in disagreement, there can be disappointment, or anger, unfortunately. However, the apostle Paul answers how we can handle this problem in his New Testament letter to the Romans. Here are two of the verses in Romans 14: 5 and 10 - Verse 5 One man regards one day above another; another regards every day alike. Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind. Verse 10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
As predicted by the Lord, stumbling blocks will come, and a very large one is the Origin of the Species
which was brought into the world by Charles Darwin and is being maintained by many people in the world. The question is, do Christians want to keep ignoring this stumbling block, or do we want to end it?
