There are myths and legends of mythical creatures and warriors who have done heroic things. Many of them are true, while others are stories that are made up for entertainment. This is a story of a dragon that became a legend. Every legend has a beginning.

One clear evening as the wind blows with a cool breeze and the night sky is lit up by the stars and the eerie glow of the moon. A group of soldiers holding lit torches, brandishing weapons and shields that bore the symbol of a dragon’s head with a sword through it on a black background. Their armor crimson in color made them look intimidating. The soldiers parted as a larger man approaches them. He stood 6' 6", long dark hair tied in a ponytail, a green eye and his left eye sewn shut with two claw marks across his face. His armor is a darker crimson than his fellow soldiers and sheathed on his back a two-handed sword. It has a crimson blade, three dragon heads; one facing left, one facing right and the third head has the sword’s blade coming out of its mouth. At the bottom of the head it formed into a dragon’s tail ending with a dragon claw holding a dragon’s eye. The Captain turned toward the group, holding his helmet under his left arm, and addressed his soldiers.

He spoke with great charisma, Knights of the Crimson Blade! I, Damasen, have asked you all here tonight to help me slay a monster that has stolen something from me. It lays within this cave. Who’s with me? The soldiers erupt in loud cheers. Damasen shouts, We attack in one hour!

    Chapter 1

    Meanwhile, deep within the cave….

R akon, wake up! A female voice said. There are soldiers outside the cave preparing to attack.

A ball of fire hovering from above illuminates the cave with a soft glow. Four claws dig into a mound of treasure. Red and black scales begin to come into view, tracing back to enormous wings with sharp, black claws at the tip. Green eyes pierce through the darkness, distracting from the two large horns protruding from his skull. Stepping off the treasure, he stretches his wings and folds them back, approaching the female voice.

As the dragon came closer, a female blood red dragon a little smaller than himself came into view. Her wings covering the ground, seemingly hiding something. Looking frightened, she looked to Rakon.

Sheariza! What seems to be bothering you my love? The dragon asked.

Rakon, we need to get out of here. Soldiers are outside waiting to attack. She said.

Sheariza, you don’t need to worry. We can defeat anything that comes our way. Rakon roared. One step in here and they’ll know death.

You’re overconfident. Their leader, after his last defeat, fell far into the Woods of the Ancients and somehow survived. Many dragons have fallen by his blade, Rakon. Including my father. Please don’t under estimate his skills. Sheariza begged.

Rakon replied with a smirk, There is no human that can match my power. A human who needs a sword and a small army doesn’t scare me.

He raised his head toward the ceiling and blasted a cone of fire from his
