Reviews
‘Goblet of Truth is the third book in the series Knight Blazer. I loved all the books and really loved the characters in the story from Raiden and Arisha, to the wise ones Chezemial and Ravarni. What a fantastic series, I just wish they were a much longer read. It’s one of those series that you just can’t put down’ Ben
‘It was an amazing story that my Mum read to me. She read it all to me. I loved the imagination and the pictures’ Chloe (Age 7)
‘It was a fascinating series with a great storyline in each book with brilliant illustrations.’ Sarah
‘Each story in the series Knight Blazer starts with action which is what I liked about this series. The imagination in the story and the colour illustrations really made this series stand out from others. Also the short quote at the beginning of every chapter made you think what’s going to happen in this chapter. Incredible and marvellous stories with an ending in each book that wants you to keep on reading’ Mike

Chapter 1 Chezemial the Wise One
––––––––
‘Even the greatest warriors have fear and they use it to drive them forward. Let courage energise you to become fearless.’
Chezemial, The Second Wise Triad of Esoncia, Present Day
––––––––
The fear of death follows from the fear of life. I am not worried about dying, what I am worried about is not living. An individual who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. Live your life so you can embrace the fear of death. Dying is like being born: just a transformation. Being born is like dying, just like living, an illusion. Whatever it may be, you have to trust the adventure!
Underneath an azure sky, Chezemial rode her lion furiously out of the gates of Esoncia. A blue cloak swept away in the wind as she urged her beast towards the Portal of Craticer. ’Faster, Scaria, before we’re too late.’
News had reached Chezemial that the Wise One of Stridelea had been killed, leaving Chezemial to be their protector now. She knew she had to be strong for the upcoming trials. Hope and faith were fading fast now that a Wise One had been killed and that could not be allowed to happen. Scaria leaped, dodging fallen trees, racing fast and furiously through the forest.
I must make it. I must.
There it was ahead of them. As they sped towards the gateway, Chezemial spoke her incantation, dodging branches that whipped past her face. As her voice grew, so the portal started to glow arctic blue. A gush of wind surged out of the portal, bringing with it a blinding light that surrounded Chezemial. Scaria raced forward, and without hesitation, jumped straight into the portal. They were engulfed into the spirit of the portal and the temperature dropped. Chezemial gritted her teeth to stop them chattering as she held onto Scaria tightly. The wind around them was like a hurricane, almost snatching the cloak from her shoulders.
Then they were through the portal and her lion landed neatly on the grass. Chezemial flexed the cold from her fingers and looked around, taking in their surroundings. It had been a long time since she had last been here. In this enchanted part of the forest, the wind moved in hushed whispers and sunlight dappled the verdant floor. There was a chill in the air, although it was nothing to the biting cold of the portal.
Chezemial looked up. ‘There above the trees, go Scaria!’ As Scaria raced through the trees, Chezemial reached into her cloak pocket and brought out a small oval box. Careful not to spill any, Chezemial opened it and rubbed some of the powder onto her fingers. The magic made her fingertips tingle. White light started to emanate from her hands.
Scaria bounded into a clearing and Chezemial saw a mother cowering on the ground, her two children clinging to her skirts. Above them, rakshasas spiralled through the air, their lips bloody and the anticipation of their kill giving a frenzied jerking to their movements. If the
