About this ebook

Humanitys condition has always been one of ignorance and dispensable life. Now the greater universe sends its human sector the message to pay cosmic attention to all the details the universe displays. Every human being is to find, imbedded within those details, the meaning of the universe itself, and that meaning turns out to finally answer the greatest question our species has ever asked. The implications for Homo sapiens are profound: enlightenment and indispensable life. And thats just the beginning.

    PART 1

    Transcendence

Imagine that you’re looking downward out the window of an airplane at cruising altitude on a clear day; you would be at what is called a transcendental point of view. The word transcendental is from trans- for across or over and scendare for climb, as the airplane has climbed across and over what is viewed from its window. A transcendental point of view (TPV) is a place—physical or abstract—from where one can discern the relationships of part to part and part to whole. The letter Y inverted illustrates the following configuration: the upper branch is the TPV, and the two lower branches are the observed parts taken together as a whole. All connections and distinctions are made at transcendental points of view. A TPV is the place to perceive a problem then conceive its solution. We make all our decisions at TPVs.

Transcendence, or transcendental vision, is to be neither confused with nor limited to either the transcendentalism of the nineteenth century or the transcendental meditation (TM) of the twentieth century. A transcendant is a practitioner of transcendence. Certainly a way to view things, transcendence may or may not involve philosophy or religion.

Do you want to get the big picture? Place the camera at a TPV. Stereotypically, to elevate in consciousness, a guru seeks a mountaintop retreat, symbolically elevating his physical TPV to see more. Thus, the cliché about raising one’s consciousness means going to higher and higher transcendental points of view. The high-minded or broad-minded person has transcendental vision. When we get over something or rise above it, we go to a higher TPV. Transcendants see the trees and the forest, as well as the common thread.

The standpoint for appreciating any fine art object is a transcendental point of view, as is any theater seat or stadium seat. A judge sits on her bench, the highest seat in the courtroom, to appear to be at a TPV of all the court proceedings. Reading a word by seeing its letters is transcendental vision. Today’s scientists who are searching physics for a unified field theory are seeking a single TPV of all physical entities and events. Tribal elders derive their authority from having a TPV of tribal history. Skyscraper-penthouse rent buys premium transcendence of a cityscape. Those who are visionaries are transcendants. A traveler gains transcendental vision of all the places visited. Indeed, this presentation is made at a TPV of TPVs.

In the beginning—these are the first three words of Judeo-Christian Holy Scripture that describe a transcendental point of view. An all-seeing, all-knowing God is traditionally depicted as being in heaven on high, the ultimate TPV. From his transcendental point
