About this ebook
Geoffry Thomas
Music, through out history, has been a window into mankind's cultural evolution. Live music in its purest celebrates this unique union of musician and participant and every concert is a journey to this experience. For close to a half century, Geoffry Thomas has made documenting live concerts his personal mission. For more than two decades, his father, Glenn Thomas, was the premier concert promoter in the Leigh Valley are booking bands like, Deep Purple, Genesis, Blue Oyster Cult, Rush, Frank Zappa, ZZ Top and hundreds of all notable bands. After his retirement, Chef Jeff, affectionately known by his friends, carried his father's torch, and promoted, catered and booked bus and limo tours for hundreds of bands and lucky concert goers. For every large arena show, he documented whether it be Pink Floyd, The Who, Plant/ Page, Kiss, AC/DC, David Bowie, there were so many more shows he promoted and documented. In smaller venues and festival settings with hip upstart bands. This is who he is - someone who embraces all music whether it be rock, metal, punk, space, ambient, techno, retro or ethnic - his passion for live music is limitless. In this book, Geoffry Thomas is providing a small portal in pictures of his incredible journey into the live experience of concerts. I should know, because I have been at his side for close to thirty years and it's been one hell of a ride. Ronald G. Hertz
