Introduction
Few words spoken, but went right to work
was what he wrote in his high school yearbook. And that is exactly what he did. He may be quiet and shy, but Sheldon accomplished so many things: from diving into his studies in several different areas, to enrolling in medical school, enlisting in the army during WWII, continuing his medical training in Dermatology, joining and continuing a successful Dermatology practice, being graced with the birth of his daughter, Melissa; marrying Patricia, enjoying his winters in Arizona, taking time with his many hobbies, spending time with family, meeting Cookie, and making wonderful friends.
When Sheldon did talk, people listened. He is wise, honest, well read and a gentle man. Later in his life, Sheldon started writing poetry. It became a way for him to express himself. In this book are as many poems as I could find in his files. Also included are some of his lectures, medical journals that have been published, and photos.
It is such a privilege and honor to publish this book for my Dad. He has touched so many people in his life and it is a joy to share his love of writing with all of you. Enjoy! -Mimi
