Introduction

One of the most powerful ways that I have been able to connect to Divine Light is by using sacred ritual, energy work, and movement. Even though I was raised in a family of Mexican and Lebanese Spiritualists and psychics, who taught me the ways of connecting to Divine Light, the power of sacred words (affirmations and prayer), and how to increase my psychic abilities, I did not feel empowered or safe to share these gifts with the outside world. The message I received quite often was that I had this special power that was not safe to express outwardly. I felt that to be true growing up, thus used my divine gifts to preserve and protect myself, hiding the full expression of my light from the world. The major shift came around 2001 when I did not feel like I could hide my gifts anymore. I got an undiagnosed illness that I intuitively felt was from absorbing too many peoples’ energy (as a natural healer), and from hiding my true self from others. I knew that I needed to learn more ways to strengthen my spiritual gifts. As I realized this, I began receiving guidance and messages from my spiritual guides, and ancestors. The strong message was that I would be preparing myself to be a supportive part of a massive shift of energy that would occur on the planet in 2012. This shift would bring humanity and the earth into a new phase where Light would prevail and we would re-integrate the Oneness within ourselves and with everything.

In the years leading up to 2012 I studied sacred ritual work and Reiki with family members, shamans, and healers in Mexico. I practiced Tibetan healing arts, and yoga. I also learned the sacred earth and star ways through wise men and women in Mali. As I learned sacred techniques from people, the more my heart and soul would open up to healing and guidance from crystals and plants. These messages taught me the wisdom of the Earth, and all of the ways that each element has a purpose and a gift to share.

I got the calling to begin my healing and spiritual work fully towards the end of 2011. I felt confident, fortified and supported to shine my light and my gifts out into the world, and began my healing and ritual practice in February of 2012, LaViahn Healing. Had it not been
