Thoughts by My Best Friend, Gino E. Lazzari
Introduction
Poetry Rendering from the Heart is very intimate to me, and I would like to dedicate it to the love of my life, soul mate, best friend, and husband, Gino, who inspired me to write this book of poetry. I met my beloved by chance after a turbulent time in my life when I had almost given up on love altogether. I will never forget my little sister Anna’s words during that dark time in my life. Simply put, she said, Rosie, always remember this: God has a plan for you.
I believe that now with all my heart, because just a few years later in November 2000, as destiny would have it, I met Gino.
I happened to be singing karaoke in a nondescript place on Gratiot Avenue called Cracker Jacks. That night I found the surprise that changed my life forever, and now my dream has come true. Finally I can put together my writings in this, my very first published book.
This passion to write poetry for me seems to have started from my earliest poem, called Spring,
which was chosen to appear in the Kaiser Elementary
