Earlina Gilford Weaver
Earlina Gilford-Weaver is the founder of Shekinah Glory Outreach Ministry and Shekinah Glory Outreach / 2Real4U Drama Productions. She is working on numerous projects all at once, such as her books and stage plays and exciting drama series. This is her passion. Currently residing in Winston Salem, North Carolina, and originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Mrs. Gilford-Weaver started her career as a motivational speaker in 1997 after a long illness. After battling cancer and strokes and being in a three-month coma, she found her true calling in helping others with her gifts. In 2008 she married her soul mate, Richard A. Weaver, and they both worked on her life story, “Who Will Wipe My Tears Away?” As a team, Mr. Weaver drew the cover, and Earlina told her breathtaking testimony that came out in 2010. She later put it in 2011 as a gospel stage play, where it sold out and left a lot of people free from holding in the abuse they endured. In 2013 Earlina worked side by side David L. Walker to make this story a documentary feature film, “Angry Tears,” filmed by David L. Walker from Walk Star Production out of Warren, Ohio. After three books, five stage plays, and a movie, Earlina is using her God-given gifts and talent to be a blessing to encourage others that it is not too late to start your dreams. With twenty casts, she is putting together a very positive sitcom that will encourage others to hope and have a better future. She was quickly compelled to go behind the scenes of her work rather than to be in the center of it all. She found writing much more rewarding, being a full-time caregiver to her firstborn granddaughter with autism but being a true dedicated lover of lost souls. She is a two-time award honoree of the Peach Theatre Playwrights Ball, 2014 and 2015, and was given a literary award for the best inspirational story line in the She Writes BET Award in 2014. She truly takes great love, compassion, and pride in her work. Her works are top quality. Many are intense dramas about vital issues in today’s world that many do not like to touch on, such as, adult and teen suicide, homelessness, faith, hope, environmental issues, sexual, physical, and mental abuse, crime, and many other important issues. Mrs. Gilford-Weaver has a strong social conscience that is reflected in her work. She has gained a lot of praise in the works she has put out so far on the productions below: Who’ Will Wipe My Tears Away? Is It Really My Closet? A Call Too Late! Busted and Disgusted! Trapped! Was It Really God? Production has and is a going to be a force to be reckoned with in the highly competitive world of film. Through the years, having three major stokes, cancer, nervous breakdown, losing a lung being on oxygen from time to time, a need of two total knee replacements, from a three month coma, being in a wheelchair, and other challenges that slowed her down, she focused by getting back up and driving to have faith and believe she will and has overcame any obstacles to make a difference. Still having side effects from it all has not stopped her from helping others overcome wanting to make a difference in this world. The challenge is to press by every means. Working hard, gathering and working with tremendous, phenomenal, talented up-and-rising casts, and production team talking with good people that know the struggle and have arise with this. “We don’t do ordinary, we don’t do easy, we will work hard and long, and will release details as it become available. And we will offer you unforgettable projects.” Her dream is to meet Ms. Pamala Hall of Lionhawk Productions and give her her vision and hug. It will allow her to know she can accomplish anything, including the dreams of her cast and production team! Looking for a film and network production company that will take on her next project to help make a difference in the world today. Is everyone ready for the real truth, While coming to the rescue of the Second Chance program, it soon becomes painfully clear, who is really in need of saving,
Chapter 1
Safe Haven Home on Schenley Ave
It is early in the morning of August 8, 2015 in a small community of Youngstown Oh, at the Safe Haven Home on Schenley Ave.
Monica walking around reading all the awards on the wall
MONICA:
In a smart tone
Wow this lady has more awards then the president, Monica takes one off the wall
in a mocking way Award to an outstanding woman of our community Mrs. Dorothy C. Wells, that helped over millions of women successfully’ in a Better Me Classes, who has ran the Safe Haven Home housing for 1000’s of women for over 52 years that became doctors, lawyers and teachers,
Monica talks in a sarcastic way really’ they believe this woman is a saint, then where was she when my mother needed someone, a woman that was right under her nose, right down the street, I guess she was not good enough to save’ just like she was not good enough for my no good father,
Monica sits down on the couch and pulls out a picture from her purse Oh how I miss you so much and wished you were here so my life would have been better than this, well I guess I got to make the best of things, but one day believe me if it takes me the rest of my life’ I will take care of those who hurt and caused you to leave me so soon’ believe me they will pay.
Monica wiping tears from her eyes"
Michelle walks in living room
MICHELLE:
Michelle walks in room" Monica who are you taking too? Who will pay? And why are you sounding like that?
MONICA:
No one Michelle, I was talking to myself, just thinking out loud. Putting picture in purse
MICHELLE:
Well it did not sound like that to me, I pray you are not talking to that picture again’ that you let no one see, remember what the counselor said, something’s are better left in the past so that we could move forward and focus on a new life, this is what the Second Chance program for, a new start.
Monica stands up off the couch in a very aggressive voice
MONICA:
So’ what are you trying to say? Are you calling me crazy? Do not start Michelle’ what you need to do is mind your own business, none of you have a glue of what me and my brother been through’ because of some selfish, spoiled, people, so please do not temp me, you really do not know what I am capable of, and for the record I can feel any way I like, so keep your advice to yourself, get out my face before I’ Monica hesitate for a moment"
Shay walks in the room
SHAY
Come on girl don’t go there, you do not want to end back up in that nut home again, and Michelle, why worrying about what Monica feel anyway, Michelle don’t let us both refresh your scaring butt.
MONICA
It is cool Shay, Michelle just need to stop being a cheerleader for that whack place we came from,
SHAY
Yeah just keep being a fool for that what’s his name again’ Michael.
MICHELLE:
I truly did not mean any harm, I was just concerned about Monica, Shay, and you should be too’ we do not want Cheryl or Canei over hearing you talking like that,
SHAY
Then help her by staying out of her business’ so she could stay in a positive place,
MICHELLE
Hello’ I am not the enemy here’ I am just trying to help my friend’ I did give a good word for her to be here.
MONICA:
I know Michelle, and I am truly so sorry, I was just thinking about my mother, and had a moment that’s all, today is very hard for me, the day our mother took her life 15 years ago, and believe me I do appreciate you for having my back and helping me get in this home, I know it would of took a while with the waiting list so long, I truly apologize.
MICHELLE:
Believe me Monica I know how you feel, losing my husband almost destroyed me, it left me with anger, bitterness and un-forgiveness, you see he was killed by a drunk driver, and I felt the same way you are feeling now, but you got to forgive so you could move forward,
SHAY
Oh boy here we go again’ with the Sister Mary speech, she tells us that we can give people power over our life or we can take it back through forgiveness, blah blah blah
MICHELLE
Well maybe one day Monica will open up and tell what happened that has her so angry inside.
MONICA:
Like I said Michelle I am fine, sometimes a person needs to vent every now and then, that is what our instructor tells us also, not to hold anything in our hearts, SHAY you riding with me?
SHAY
Yes girl
MONICA
We better get going before our boarders get up, and see us not gone yet, especially that Cheryl and her friends Shelly and that Attorney Ellis, with they stuck up attitudes, they must forgot where they came from since money came into play, black folks get a little money, and think they are so superior’ looking down on a sista like me, but let the closets open up and watch all the bones fall out.
SHAY
Wait a minute are you saying you know or heard something about their past’ that no one knows about?
MONICA:
Well let’s just say people just did not come out the womb living for God, we all have a past’ just some of us to scared for other to see the garbage.
MICHELLE:
Monica please do not say anything to them about what I told you concerning their inheritance.
SHAY:
You right girl they go to church every day, come home and don’t help a soul in their neighborhood, Shelly, and that Attorney Ellis walk around this place quoting scriptures like they are virgin Mary’s themselves,
MONICA
Monica starts laughing
I know right like they really waiting on a invisible man to tell them when the time is right to get their groove on, Michelle what you told me about Canei and Cheryl inheritance is a secret, so don’t worry’ I do not kiss and tell.
MICHELLE:
Well, if you both read the word of God’ it is in the bible that we should wait until our husband comes to give ourselves,
SHAY
Like Monica said stop being their cheerleaders, They all seems to be very stuck up, now that Canei is the one we need to be worried about, she seems to be a hater from time to time.
MICHELLE
Why do you dislike them so much?
MONICA:
You better keep that on a down low SHAY, before she hears you, Canei is just like me, she keeps it real, I believe me she is the reason we are still here’ because if Cheryl and the rest of them had their way, we all would be living up in this house speaking in that crazy language "do ho long yah wey let’s go, I really do not want to hear another Jesus is the reason we woke up today, when I set my alarm daily.
SHAY:
You can say that again’ let’s go
MICHELLE
You both really need prayer’ yes lets go because Sister Mary do not play about us being late to the Better me Class
MONICA
Come on Michelle with your scary behind, like you said Sister Mary do not play to be late ‘They all walks out the door, Cheryl walks in the kitchen singing and looking up to the sky out a window
Cheryl walks in room singing and talking to God, looking up to the sky
CHERYL:
What a beautiful morning’ the sun is bright’ with a hesitate state
but Lord everything in my life seems to be one big dark cloud! What does this mean? When I have everything a woman should want, (with a hesitate state) right lord?
CANEI:
Canei walks in the living room
Get out that day dreaming again Cheryl’ why are you asking this mystery in the clouds to send you a man, when all you got to do is stop by Make Him or Break Him Drive Through
and pick from any one of them desperate clowns.
CHERYL:
I will not Canei’ God is going to send me my bright and shining tall sunshine that will take this dark cloud away, you just wait and see! Besides, you have already Broke’ all the good ones from the north, south, east & west drive through.
CANEI:
Well, I can’t help it if their banks went bankrupt’ that’s why grandma never dealt with any banks’ she kept her Plummer money in a safe place.
CHERYL:
Plumber’ girl, what are you talking about? Granddaddy was not a plumber.
CANEI:
That’s what I am talking about her Plumber, if you get my drift.
CHERYL:
Canei you are nuts, our grandparents loved each other. Nana would’ve never dealt with any plumber on granddaddy if that’s what you are applying.
CANEI:
You see Cheryl, you are just so dog on naïve, that’s the reason you don’t have a man, that dark cloud got you clueless. Who do you think showed me how to make them or break them?
CHERYL:
Canei’ I am not listening to your foolishness, I am late for work, and where are our boarders? they gone so earlier, I have not seen them all night, well I did get in late from showing that property on the west side, I wanted to ask them about the going to the revival Friday at Love Stone.
CANEI:
Looking up at the sky
Lord, lord, lord’ or is your name Dark Cloud? Well whoever you are, you need to let some sunshine in for this child to see, because she is in total denial of our Nana, The best (Canei shaking her hips) shake & bake, make or break man trainer there was, and for your information our boarders had to go sign in at the Eye of the Needle, hopefully looking for employment before we go bankrupt taking care of their lazy butts.
CHERYL:
Canei we are fine’ if you just stay out of the personal account, Nana Second chance program funds has enough to house a few more ladies, this program is to help others to get back up on their feet, and we got to have our annually evaluation soon, Mrs. Weaver will be here for our inspections, so please be around this Saturday for clean up, well if they come back before I get in, please ask them would they like to go to the revival for me, I am late for work, and maybe you should go too.
CANEI:
Yeah when they roll me in a casket, my dear little sister who do you think is the oldest here’ so do not give me orders like I am your child, I have a job that puts money in the personal account too, so don’t get it twisted’ if I chooses to take money out then I can, and one more thing baby girl this is why the ladies are here’ have them clean, I will be getting my nails done Saturday.
CHERYL:
Canei’ Nana is turning over in her grave for you not to be going to church any more, when Pastor and First Lady are the reason why you got early release from prison, you did say you would be dedicated to the lord house or did you forget’ you should be a shame of yourself, how could you set a good positive message to the ladies that comes here if you not doing anything positive? And they are not here to clean’ we all will pitch in to keep this place the way Nana would want us too, thank God Nana left me in charge with the up keep and business of this place.
CANEI:
You have your way of saving folks’ and I got mine, and you said one thing right, Nana left you in charge of the up keep’ so keep it up, before I knock you back to your size, I believe you said you were late for work, so on that note bye’ bye miss save a lot.
CHERYL:
Bye Canei, I will be praying for you. Cheryl grabbed her briefcase off the table and walks out the door
CANEI
The girl is getting on my last nerves Lord you better hurry up and send that heifer a man a dog or something before she be joining my Nana, Let me get ready for work, girl done made me lose my appetite.
Canei walks away
Later that morning at the Eye of the Needle Woman shelter
Sitting in the seats of the session with Sister Mary speaking
SISTER MARY:
You ladies are truly bless on this day, it is time to look at where you are at this point in your life and ask yourselves where do you want to go from here, I have been where you at living in a shelter with my family, trying to find a hole to go crawl in and die, but I am here to let you know time heals all wounds and it gets better, God had chosen you in this season for his purpose and plan that is to prosper you and not to harm you, Sister Mary With a hesitate state Disturbance with Monica talking & mumbling to Shay and moving in & out of her seat" Is there a problem Monica? I truly feel that it is very disrespectful for you to be making the noise in the background as I am speaking.
MONICA:
I just feel if a person don’t want to hear this religious talk then they should not be forced, and what do God haven’t to do with me looking forward,
Monica gives Shay high five
SHAY:
I hear that
SISTER MARY:
Miss Monica we are only trying to help all of us grow stronger in our walk with God, so the lord has a lot to do with’ us moving forward.
MONICA:
Well I thought this was a better me class, a place to help us find better jobs, I just feel this is forcing someone into something just to get help.
SHAY
Right, I did too
SISTER MARY:
I truly understand how you both feel, 15 years ago that was me seating there saying the same things, this program is not design to make people join any religion, or to force anyone to live for God, but if we want change in our life God is the source of our destiny, but if you do not choose to be in this program you can be assign to another program, and I am truly sorry you felt that way, the better me classes are for those who is looking for a closer walk with God, you sign the paper to enter these class to stay at the Second Chance Women Home, did you read the mission statement?
SHAY
No she did not assume you are dumb, and can’t read
MONICA:
Yes I did, and I can read, I am just stating a fact that we get the God thing at the Second Chance Home already, it just feels like it is force on you that’s all I am saying.
SHAY
Yea’ we do get this at the place we stay so why are we force to hear it again’ like we stupid or something.
SISTER MARY:
Well God will never force his grace & mercy on you my sisters, would you both like to speak after class so we can find a program that suits you better?
MONICA:
For one thing I am not your sister, no I will be fine’ just finish your lesson’ I don’t want to be the cause of anyone missing their purpose or plan.
SISTER MARY:
I truly apologize everyone, but if anyone in here feels this class is not for you please see me after class, we want everyone here to feel comfortable, and we have some information on the table concerning jobs that are hiring, and other resources that would be very helpful before you leave, Class is dismissed, Monica can I please speak with you, in my office,
Sister Mary walks toward her desk
SHAY
Girl she about to lay it down on you, I got your back if you need me
MONICA
Girl’ please watch me work this
Monica walks toward Sister Mary
MONICA:
Sister Mary I would like to apologize, this is the day my mother past away, and I have been feeling a little moody, I truly would like to stay in this program, I believe it would help me get over the pain, and find the strength to move forward, I was just so angry with God for taking her from me.
SISTER MARY:
I truly can relate Monica believe me honey, I have not always been saved’ and was just like you when I was your age and lost people I love, but believe me it will get better, but you need God strength so that you would be able to deal with your lost, but keep the great memories you have of your mom, none of us has arise yet that we don’t have a moment or two, but the next time you decide to have that moment excuse yourself, because I would hate to beat you and anyone else down, and loose the God I have in front of these women.
MONICA:
What’ Sister Mary I cannot believe you just said that.
SISTER MARY:
Like I said’ I have not always been saved, at that moment I had one of my flash backs that I would have been praying as I tag that butt, my daughter Shelly is around your age, and I have not arise yet from young people disrespect.
They both laugh and huge,
MONICA:
Sister Mary please forgive me for disrespecting the class, I am feeling much better, I know you all are trying to help us, and I truly appreciate that’
SISTER MARY:
I forgave you when you did it, and in a month it will be my only son anniversary of us losing him, so I know how you feel, and I know how it can be with starting over with a different outlook on life.
MONICA:
Thank you, It’ will not happen again, well let me go check out the table to see if there is something over there for me. Monica walks over to the table and Shay, Michelle approach her
SHAY:
Well I see the atmosphere has changed, thank the Lord,
MONICA:
Well the lord does have his way of pulling us together, like I said I got this,
MICHELLE:
Girl what in the world was that for any way? Do you want to get kicked out the Second Chance Program? Sister Mary is no joke, she would definitely have you replace, she is the Pastor wife,
SHAY
Here we go again, the cheerleader
MONICA:
Let’s get something straight Michelle I fear no one, plus she was getting on my nerves with all that talk about God is the way to our destiny, I hear that all day with Cheryl, and that mad house we used to stay in, have our situation changed yet?
SHAY
No, Michelle look where you still at, so where is your purpose and plan God has for you living in a place that orders you around all day and night.
MONICA
let me alert you on how sweet your righteous Christians really are, soon as you do something wrong they cast you in the fire, and leave you to burn, then turn their snotty little noses up at you, they talk about you like a dog, they are liars, they steal, that’s what I think about your so called Christian family.
MICHELLE:
Then why you want to live up under their roof if you feel that strong about it?
MONICA:
Michelle you are trying my patience, I have not taken any of my meds today, so do not touch a place that would have me caught a case.
SHAY
Girl you got a death wish, well you will get it soon messing with Monica keep talking
MICHELLE:
I truly think you both better change your tone’ here comes Sister Mary, maybe you both can find something on the table because you both are not acting right.
MONICA:
Yeah, I feel like Cybil right now.
SISTER MARY:
Sister Mary walks over to the table
Well ladies did you all find anything on the table that would help?
MICHELLE:
Yes I found a job position that would really be a help to me, after we leave here I am going to check it out, the jobs sounds like it is something I am looking for, so say a prayer for me, Monica you Shay need to go look on the table it might be something there for you both.
MONICA:
I will look next week because I have something already going on, if it play right I will be living alright, it is some property I believe I am entitle to from my father, so pray I be able to take back what the devil stole from me, and I was just telling Michelle that I was sorry for snapping at her earlier’ I know she is a good friend, and I truly cherish that, but I feel much better now after our talk Sister Mary.
SHAY
Forgive me too Sister Mary, that word was right on time I truly feel I can move forward, like Michelle said this program is helping us all rather we admit it or not, so Michelle forgive me also.
MICHELLE:
I forgave you when you did it’ I know it was not you, like you said Monica it was Cybil, you see I got jokes too.

You know if that struck up sister of yours come home, and see a man coming from the back room she is going to have us all thrown out of here. Taking off her jacket flopping down on the couch
CANEI:
Girl I was talking to this dark cloud Cheryl always be talking to, trying to relate to him to please hurry up and send her a husband, so that heifer can move out, then I can have this place to myself, she totally got on my nerves this morning,
SHAY
Well we had a day ourselves, join the group.
CANEI
I hate my grandmother gave her the control over the all the finances, and business of this place,
MONICA:
Monica started laughing
Canei this why I can relate to you, we are so much alike, why would she put Cheryl in charge of everything when clearly you are the oldest?
CANEI
She only did that because I got myself in trouble back in the day, messing around with this dude that landed me in prison for a few years, so now she feels that she can order me around like I am a kid or something, I am telling you God better give her some sense soon, and loosen that weave in her head before I snatch it out,
MONICA
I see why girl got so much ego’ her brain bigger than she is,
CANEI
Where is you guys shadow, Miss scary?
SHAY
