About this ebook
Melissa was born with a deep appreciation and genuine respect for Gods creation, and her responsibility to care for it. It is a role she has always taken seriously, and she feels closest to God when she is observing the outdoors, or simply with her pets.
As a woman without children of her own, she treasures her beloved birds, cats, dogs, miniature donkey, and whatever else may come along as the babies she was created to love. I believe each animal in my life has been strategically planned for me, just the same as the people with whom I cross paths or keep to walk along beside me, said Melissa.
This book was created to simply share what God has allowed her to feel, whether positive or negative emotions. Based upon 1 Peter 4:10, she believes these poems are meant to be shared with others who may experience the same thoughts and feelings. Melissas goal in sharing this collection is to remind others they are never alone, because all alone without God, family, friends, or pets is a horrible and unnatural place to be, feels Melissa.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. - English Standard Version (ESV)
Melissa E. Farr
Melissa Elaine Farr, a native of Houston, Texas, currently resides in San Angelo, Texas where she and her husband, Mr. Britt Farr, share life with their dogs, Corndog, Roxie, and Star, and their two cats, Charlie and Crystal. Melissa’s poem “Where Did Sasha Go?” is a tribute to Sasha, her beautiful black American Cocker Spaniel from the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. It was upon Sasha’s death in 2005 when Melissa felt a tug on her heart to reach out to others by sharing her poetry and speaking about the emotional benefits and therapeutic value of pets.
