About this ebook

Life is all about a journey. Everybody is on some kind of journey in his life knowingly or unknowingly. For every journey, there is a starting point; in other words, to start a journey, everybody needs a foundation which determines his final destination. If the foundation is wrong, then the whole journey will also be in the wrong direction, and nothing is worse than travelling in the wrong direction throughout your life. If you miss the real root you cant bear the real fruit for your root determines your fruit.
In the spiritual world, so many people are fake passport holders. They claim to inherit the kingdom of God but they can never inherit it until they accept this truth. The only truth is if Christ is your foundation, then heaven is your destination. Jesus Christ is the only way who can guide you throughout the journey, from the foundation to the final destination. By using the journey of the Israelites for forty years as a model in my book Keep Your Eternal Passport in a Safe Place, we will see how to finish successfully the journey of life from the foundation to the final destination.

    Acknowledgement

First and foremost I would like to thank God for everything. He is my stronghold, my rock, my strength, my shield and horn of my salvation. Throughout my days there were many times that I have completely gave up because of the storms and waves of life I have been through, unless the Lord had given me help and hope, my life would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. But thank God, He redeemed my life from the pit and crowned me with love and compassion.

I would like to express my gratitude to those wonderful people who supported me through this journey of my first book. I would like to thank to all friends who motivated me and prayed to the Almighty God to make this happen.

I would like to thank the support and love of my family, their continual moral support and encouragement throughout all those years.

    Introduction

Life is all about journey from some point to another. All human beings are on the journey of life either in the right path or in the wrong path and thereby the path that they choose will determine their final destination. Have you ever asked yourself which path you are travelling through? In the spiritual world, there are only two paths, which all the people of the world ever created, used, and are still using – either on the path of righteousness with God or on the wrong path with the evil one; therefore, human being determines his final destination where to spend eternity by choosing his way here on earth.

Have you ever thought about your final destiny? Have you ever asked yourself where will be the final destiny of the path you are travelling to? Do you have guarantee for your life in case you cease to exist the next minute? Do you have an eternal insurance for your life? I am sure most of your answers will be positive to the above questions because nobody travels in the wrong direction knowingly unless something is wrong with him. But still my question for you who claim that the promise of God will be fulfilled in your life is, are you working or are you travelling as you are supposed to trwavel to finish your journey successfully to inherit the promise of God? Are you still keeping your faith in God? Are you still on the way to finish what you have started?

Nothing is worse than not to finish the right thing that you have started in your life. In this book, we will see in detail about the right gate to start the right journey, how to travel in order to have continuity in your journey, the situations that happens in your journey, and how to manage them, the consequences of stopping your journey in the middle, and the result of finishing your journey by applying the principles of the journey of the Israelites from Egypt to the land of promise.

Throughout this book, I will be using masculine pronouns (he/him/his), but my intent is to include female readers as well unless the context clearly indicates that I am referring to a male.

I am grateful to God for His help in enabling me to properly and positively present this book. God the Father gets all the glory, and I remain just one of His many servants.

Approach this book with an open heart, inviting the Holy Spirit to illuminate your understanding, and let the blessing flow.

    CHAPTER ONE

    Exodus – The Spiritual Salvation

    Exodus from Slavery to freedom

Literally, the word exodus means ‘going out’. It is a point of departure or point of flight from one place to another to avoid a hostile environment. The second book of the Bible written by Moses describes how God delivered the Israelites from the ironic slavery of Egyptians, which spiritually represents deliverance of the people of God from the kingdom of darkness through Jesus Christ by the work of redemption.

Slavery is one of the worst things ever a human being can experience. It is the state of being under the control of another person. God has never created human beings to be a slave; instead, God has made all things to be ruled and dominated by human beings. In slavery, people are always considered as property that can be sold and bought when needed. The Israelites were under slavery under the Egyptians for long years. But a day came in their life that God has heard the cry of His people. (See Exod. 3: 7–9). Now, God himself has interfered in their situation to end their harsh situations, and we see in verse 8 God himself said, ‘I have come down to rescue them.’ The merciful God, still after thousands of years, says, ‘I have come down to rescue my people from slavery from the kingdom of darkness’ once and forever by giving us His life so that we can have an everlasting life (See John 3: 16–17).

So God has planned to deliver His people by providing them a passport with an exit visa from Egypt and an entry visa to Canaan and having a transit in the desert. And God himself promised them to provide with every need on their way to help them finish their journey. So God appointed Moses to lead the operation.

The opposite of slavery is always freedom, which is the most important thing for a human being to use his potential and accomplish the work for which he is created. Freedom is the power to think and act without external restraints. Therefore, the God of freedom gave the Israelites freedom from their oppressors. So the day on which the Israelites left Egypt was the day of relief, their independence day, and that was the day of freedom from the harsh life in Egypt. That’s why God told to make known the day He delivered the Israelites from Egypt to be the beginning of the year in their calendar. ‘The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year(Exod. 12: 1–2).

Beginning something in life always remains constant and inevitable. Finishing cannot exist without beginning, but yet we can begin something and may not finish it. This means we cannot finish if we don’t begin; thus, beginning always remains constant.

Lack of knowledge and misunderstanding makes people not to begin something in life on the right way and lack of wisdom makes somebody not to finish what he has started.

The exodus of the Israelites from Egypt is a shadow of today’s salvation from slavery, from the world, or deliverance from the kingdom of darkness once and forever. God has told Moses in the mount of Sinai, ‘I have come to rescue my people,’ yet Moses was standing between the Israelites and God. Whereas today in this better testament, God himself has come in human form leaving His throne to rescue the world. (See Phil. 2: 6–8)

The only way a person can start a fresh and new life is by believing Jesus.

In the same way, the time when the Israelites were delivered from slavery became the beginning of their year and the beginning of their lifetime with freedom. Today, in the age of grace the day a person decides to follow Christ Jesus by believing the finished work of the cross begins a new fresh life. So the best day for a person in life is not the day he was born from his mother’s womb but the day on which he makes a covenant with God by being born in spirit, and this is achieved only by believing Jesus Christ’s work of redemption. That day is the day on which an individual becomes the legal citizen of the kingdom of God. That day is the day of exodus from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom
