CHAPTER 1
T wenty years ago, Tiffany met a man name Moe. They were twenty-four years old at the time. They spent time together as often as they could. As they were getting to know one another, they begin developing strong feelings for one another. However, the two of them were not sure what they wanted from the relationship. Though the feelings were strong, commitment seemed to be an issue. Tiffany noticed Moe was kind hearted and he was a giver. He would always take care of Tiffany and her children. Moe would always take Tiffany on dates, especially out to eat. That was his favorite thing t o do.
During the times they spent together, they had sex only twice in six years. Again, Tiffany was not trying to make much out of the relationship. She could not have a more serious relationship with Moe because he was a major drug dealer. He was in and out of jail for selling cocaine. Each time he got out, they would always go on dates or meet at the club. They were always glad to see one another. Whenever Tiffany would go to the club, she would look to see if Moe’s car was there. If his car were there, she would ask someone to go get him to come to the door. Tiffany would get Moe to pay her way in the club along with her friends. Moe was a big show off, and a big spender. He loved to flash his money. Most of the time Moe would pay with large bills and he would tell the person on the door to give Tiffany the change. Moe’s favorite place in the club was in the back standing right next to the bar.
Moe was very handsome and dressed very well. Whenever he and Tiffany would make eye contact they would immediately embrace one another, regardless if they had dates are not. There was definitely some chemistry between the two of them. However, they did not further the relationship. They remained friends. Although Moe was a drug dealer, Tiffany saw something in him that no one else could see. Moe had already served time for his first charge of selling cocaine. Many people saw him as a no good, never going to be anything type of man. Regardless of what others thought about Moe, Tiffany was impressed by his charm, compassion, and interesting conversation. He made her laugh and she truly enjoyed Moe’s company.
In December 1989, Tiffany moved to Wisconsin. She would come home periodically, and during this time, she would spend time with Moe. After several years in Wisconsin, Tiffany received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. About thirty days after being saved, she moved back to her hometown. Tiffany was not able to see Moe much during this time because she was now in a relationship. One year later, Tiffany received news that Moe had been sentenced to life in prison for selling cocaine. He was the first person in Hillsborough, County to receive life for selling cocaine. An additional twenty years was added on to his sentence for selling in a specific area. Though the news was bad, Tiffany did not allow it to affect her in anyway. She went on with her life because she and Moe were not in an exclusive relationship. She did not feel obligated to be there for him. At that time, Tiffany thought life meant forever. She thought that Moe would surely die in prison. Tiffany felt that she would never see him again. She did not want to waste time on a dead end relationship.
Two years had passed when Tiffany got a call from Moe asking her to come see him. She was excited and went to see him as soon as she could. Tiffany visited Moe two times while he was in prison and accepted one phone call. They never wrote letters to one another. Despite Moe being in prison, the chemistry remained between the two of them. Chemistry meant nothing with Moe being in prison. Tiffany continued with her life. She eventually got married and move to another city.
CHAPTER 2
H er marriage was over after four years and her divorce was in motion. By now, Moe had served ten years and was released. During this time, Tiffany did not know that Moe was home. She found out eight months after his release that he was home. Tiffany’s daughter saw Moe at a sports club. She told her mother that she had seen Moe, but Tiffany did not think much about it at that time. June of that year, Tiffany started thinking about Moe unexpectedly. He was on her mind very heavy, which led to an attempt to contact him. Tiffany called her daughter and asked for Moe’s son number. Tiffany’s daughter gave her the number. However, when Tiffany called the number she asks to speak to Moe’s son, and he said, "This is not my son, this is his
