The Celestial Knights - Minister R. A. Artis
Chapter One
When a person achieves a certain level of awareness about the world and universe, then the consciousness of that fully cognizant individual is awakened to the idea that there is a driving force and personality behind creation, even if he or she does not acknowledge that this indeed is the truth. One must know and conclude, before all else, that there exists one Being who is Master over all existing things in all the myriad wonders of the omniverse, which is the realms of all possible realities and dimensions of existence. The omniverse is the hypothetical set of multiple possible universes (including our universe) that together comprise everything that physically exists: the entirety of space and time, all forms of matter, energy, and momentum, and the physical laws and constants that govern them. The different universes within the omniverse are called parallel universes—self-contained, separate realities coexisting with one’s own—and in turn they are collectively called the multiverse. He who brought all things into existence at the time He desired continues to sustain them for as long as He so desires, and He reigns over them in complete and utter mastery. This Being is unlike all others. There is none like Him in the past, present, or future, and He is the only thing constant in the omniverse. This Being is… Jehovah, the Creator.
Jehovah is a perfect Being and the One that contains every variety of perfection and is absolutely devoid of any imperfection whatsoever. He is neither dependent on anything else nor affected in any respect by any other entity. His existence is without beginning or end. Thus, He did not come into being following a state of nonexistence, and neither will He cease to exist. He always was and always will be. It is impossible that He should have been or will ever be nonexistent. He is the cause of all things that exist, and there is no antecedent cause beyond Him. His existence is an inescapable rational reality that could never be otherwise.
When one speaks of Jehovah, it may appear as though one is talking of a single individual supreme personage, but this is not the case. Jehovah exists as three distinct personalities, individual entities functioning with one mind and spirit. He is a Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and they are the same in substance, equal in power and glory. One of His names reflects this level of existence they inhabit. Elohim, the plural form of El, or Lord, is found in certain passages of the Holy Bible and the Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible, the books in which Jehovah chose to reveal Himself. This is most notable in the first chapter of Genesis when He said, Let Us make man in Our image.
Also, in terms of the Trinity, one can conceive of Jehovah God’s redemptive program. God the Father gave God the Son. The Son gave Himself, and through the eternal God the Holy Spirit, He offered Himself as a pure and blameless blood sacrifice. The Father is distinct from the Son, and both are distinct from the Holy Spirit, yet there is clear teaching in the Scriptures that they remain three persons but one God. This implies an echelon of existence far removed from anything man can understand. It is for this reason that human analogies will invariably break down when describing the Trinity. One must also realize that this Supreme Being, though being three distinct personalities, possesses no component structure of multiplicity whatsoever. He is ultimately indivisible, and we cannot associate Him with any of the properties of physical bodies and their occurrences. He is devoid of any limitation, is not subject to natural law, which He invariably created, and cannot be defined by using any relative comparisons.
Regarding divine authority, Jehovah is the source of all things. He is the eternal Creator. Man has no other entity or power to turn to when seeking help and guidance about how to make his way and find his rightful place in life. No matter where a person goes or what a person does, he is under the jurisdiction of the Creator who created every endowment he possesses and every item within his whole world. The Master did not walk away from His finished masterpiece or leave it unattended. He monitors His world and sustains it every second of each day. Without this constant divine direction, recharging and renewing, all life would perish, and all things would disintegrate. He watches constantly over His universe, controls it, and governs it using perfect wisdom. He moves around the people and the props of His creation in a way that conceals the hand that moves them. This He does through His host of forces and agents who work behind the scenes.
Above all, one must know that His true essence and being cannot be comprehended to any degree. There is no way to draw any analogy between Him and any of the aspects of the world He created, any of the conceptions produced by human imagination, or any conceptions the intellectual faculties of man may formulate. There are no words or descriptions that are truly fitting and proper that can be used accurately in relation to Him. Whenever He is described in word form, it is done by using borrowed terms and with the help of metaphors. These provide a medium that enables one to grasp what is necessary for one to understand knowledge regarding Him. Because nothing is available for this purpose other than words that define natural phenomenon and reflect the laws of the created universe, it is impossible to work with anything else but such words and terminology. The following idiom sums up the barrier to one’s understanding and faithful conceptualization of the makeup of Jehovah God: If I fully knew Him, I would be Him.
Despite the grandness of Himself, God reveals Himself as a personal God. Though the word personal
is not applied to Him in the Bible, this is how He is consistently revealed. The Great Kyrie, Jehovah, is a self-existent, self-conscious Spirit who has a mind and absolute freedom, and He has a will and purpose. El Roi, the One who sees, eternal and self-existing, and the Supreme Creator of all, is, without a doubt, its undisputed master. He is the one who speaks and it is done. He judges and brings about salvation.
One of the most frequent biblical themes concerns the sovereign providential work of God. He is the Lord who controls and governs all and demands obedience. Though He could force all to love Him, this is not His way. He wants His creation to choose to love Him. It is in His providential care for His world and His people that we discover His divine attributes of wisdom, justice, and goodness. Just as the Master of the universe with His infinite ability created physical entities human eyes can see, He also desired and created other creations superior to everything, and these physical senses cannot readily feel or perceive them. Just as He allotted those physical entities that human physical senses are able to discern a set of specific laws and limitations, so too He allotted to these superior beings a different set of properties that are most suited to their particular status and purpose. All this He has done according to the dictates of His wisdom. Those entities that are bound by a specific set of known limitations that comprise natural laws and that possess characteristics that human senses are able to grasp are called physical creations. Those that are free of such constraints are called spiritual. The boundaries and laws of these spiritual creations were designed to fit and reflect their particular purpose.
It is not just in the realm of the physical that there are various species and depending on the characteristics of any particular species, a discrete set of laws govern. The same is true of the spiritual entities—that is, first, there are different kinds, although all of them belong to the category of the spiritual. Second, in accordance with the various kinds that were created, there are diverse laws that apply to each kind. Nonetheless, a general rule runs through the whole category: their true reality and their properties are not comprehensible to human senses. This is because of their intangible, metaphysical makeup and that the spiritual world is actually an invisible world.
Chapter Two
The Creator Jehovah, in His infinite wisdom and creative ability, designed two main types of spiritual creations. One are souls, the spiritual entity of all humans that provide life for the physical bodies. Souls are breathed into each human body by God Himself, imparting a fraction of His divine essence into each human, making man part spirit and part physical. The breath of life is called the ruach in the Hebrew tongue, and it generally means wind, breath, mind, and spirit. In a living creature—the nephesh chayah—the ruach is the breath, whether of animals or mankind. God is the creator of ruach, and in His hand is the ruach of all mankind. In mankind, ruach further denotes the principle of life that possesses reason, will, and conscience. The ruach imparts the divine image to man and constitutes the animating dynamic that results in man’s nephesh—the soul or complete life of a being—as the subject of personal life.
This brings one to the reality of the pneuma, the Greek word for breath, or spirit, the study of the person of the Holy Spirit, which encompasses the Christian teachings on new birth, spiritual gifts (charismata), Spirit baptism, sanctification, the inspiration of prophets, and the indwelling of the Holy Trinity. When applied to God, the ruach indicates His creative ability and active power. The Spirit of God also works in providence, in redemption, in upholding and guiding His chosen ones, and in the empowering of the Messiah. In short, as the ruach is to the created nephesh, so the Ruach Elohim is to God Himself, part of Him and identified with Him. The ruach may be understood as the Author of the animating dynamic of the created order, the underlying principle of creation, and the one that imparts the nephesh to the entire universe.
Creating man as he is, part physical and part spiritual, Jehovah God originally intended man to exist as a perfectly harmonious fusion of both physical and spirit life, but the stigma of sin corrupted this blend and caused a rift between man and the Source. But, because of His great love and desire to be reunited with His greatest creation, God provided a reconciliatory sacrifice with the blood of His Son, who, being God Himself, allowed Himself to become fully human, yet, at the same time, pre-existent and divine. Souls are unique for they have an existence outside the human body. The soul is eternal, and can exist without the body, but without the soul, the body is an empty shell, devoid of life.
The second of the Creator’s spiritual entities are the transcendental forces, known as angels. These are spiritual entities devoid of physical bodies, such as humans, because their essential substance which is far removed from substances that makeup our physical realm. Pure and extremely superior to anything known to humankind, they are truly closest to the divine presence and upon them He rests His Spirit at all times. Angels were created to serve as the agents of the Creator in all that He wishes. Each one is appointed and assigned to a specific area by divine will. The angels fall into various hierarchical levels. Each level has its particular set of laws and limitations. These are based upon what best fits that level as programmed by divine wisdom. The angels are servants of God and serve as executors of His will. All the things which happen in the world are discharged through them, both good and evil. From this perspective, they are divided into two groups: angels of light and the demonic forces of evil. Angels of light are those appointed to produce positive benefits for the world both physical and spiritual. Evil angels, or demons, are those charged with executing negative and sinful actions, also in both the physical and spiritual realm. There remains, however, the age old question: why would an all-powerful, all knowing God allow for evil to exist? The answer is simple yet profound. God has a will which is both causative and permissive, which means He causes events to happen and He permits things to unfold because of free will, the freedom of choice, which He extends to all His creations.
The Master of the Universe gave to all of these spiritual entities the license to act and affect various segments of the physical realm. Their influence is not constrained by natural law and is activated by specific and known means in the physical world. These specific means were provided and designated by the Creator to serve as causes for such effects. Not one of these spiritual forces has the power to do all that it might wish to do. Each one is subject to limitations and boundaries. It is only within the framework of the constraints and limitations and solely through those particular, assigned means that the spiritual forces can carry out the tasks which are delegated to them. Angels, and demons, alike, administrate and modify matters and events according to the Decree of the Master through influence.
The universe was brought into existence primarily because the Creator desired to design man so that he might have the opportunity to become close to Him and there by enjoy true goodness. This purpose was incorporated into the world by providing man with the option of choosing to follow one of two courses: the road of good or the path of evil and eternal damnation. Man was endowed with the ability to choose whichever of the two roads he desires. When he chooses the good through his understanding and desire to accept the free gift of salvation in and through the blood sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ and rejects the wrong, then this true and everlasting goodness will be afforded him. All other creations in our universe were made only because the Highest Divine Wisdom saw a need for them to exist in order to fashion a complete universe. In such a cosmos, mankind would find himself in the aforementioned circumstances making it possible for him to serve God. What specific need is there for the world to contain the multitude of various creations that are not fully known to man? In his present state, however, the main element of the universe is man. One possible answer to the myriad wonders of creation is that because of the overwhelming enormity of Jehovah and the boundless enormity of His nature, He decided to fill this universe with a complexity and simplicity of design so to reflect a small scope of His awesomeness and grandeur. It is specifically for man that all of these creations were brought forth into the world, and the essential purpose and chief end of man’s creation was solely that he might praise and worship God.
The Creator is the One who watches over all, judges all, and issues all decrees. Angels serve as His agents. The Master of the Universe truly knows all, and nothing is concealed from Him. Yet, it is not upon this basis that He administers His world and judicial system. He established a particular system of justice which He desired. The system is similar to that which is seen in mortal kingdoms. That is, He legislates all things in courts of celestial angels. In these courts, witnesses testify about the events, prosecutors demand judgment, and defense attorneys plead the defendant’s case. All of these functions are carried out by angels, good and evil. Some testify about the happenings in the world; others prosecute; and still others defend. Those, who are redeemed by the blood sacrifice of Christ, however, are specifically defended by the Son while their chief prosecutor is the Accuser of the Brethren, the former cherub, Lucifer, now known as Satan. Based on whether or not one has accepted the free gift of salvation, the final verdict is then reached in keeping with a true and just judgment by the Chief Supreme Justice of the Universe.
Chapter Three
In the beginning, when Elohim God created the universe, earth and all within it, He gave man, His supreme creation, complete dominion over it all. As a matter of fact, one could say, He created the cosmos for man’s benefit and specifically for him to give Him praise for His mighty works. The Great I Am designed man to be an extension of Himself, for he was the only thing He fashioned to be made in His image and the only thing He created not by speaking it into existence but by fashioning him with His own hands. He gave humankind the ability to create and form effects from the things He had already created, for man’s ingenuity and inventiveness was a direct result of the creative intellect of Elohim Himself.
However, when the dark shame of sin was introduced into this present universe by the disobedience of the primordial parents, Adam and Eve, man lost his inheritance and gained the wrath of a highly disappointed God. Sadly, God, who knew man would contravene His laws, set in motion the avenue for his redemption but knew that it would come about at a great sacrifice The life of His only begotten Son, Immanu’El, would have to become fully human while still remaining fully God. But most terribly, God abhorred sin. When the Messiah took the sins of all upon Himself, Almighty Jehovah would be forced to turn His back on His Son shunning Him to the point of death, all for the atonement for man’s transgressions. Movement toward this, of course, would take centuries to accomplish, while man would continue to stumble and fall in the murkiness of his rebellion. Man still retained his penchant for resourcefulness and invention, yet this imaginative ingenuity is perverted by humankind’s lust for power and desire of self.
The twentieth century saw man, in less than 100 years, go from horseback to being able to journey into the cold embrace of space. Events that took weeks to travel the globe were shortened substantially. Man also enabled himself to be transmitted anywhere in the blink of the eye due to the invention of televisual, satellite, and digital technologies. Phones smaller than the palm of the hand allowed them to communicate as well as see a person on the other side of the world without the prerequisite of face-to-face encounters. Computers and the Internet increased an explosion of knowledge that made the world—not the globe— even smaller. New medical technologies, such as genetic engineering, along with the mapping of the human genome, placed the power of life and possibly, immortality itself within the grasp of humankind.
Now, in the early years of the twenty-first century, technology has made a paradigm shift with the dawn of quantum mechanics and particle physics. Man has begun to unlock the door into not only how the universe works but why it works. One would imagine that if man can do such wondrous things, then why has the world not been turned into a utopian paradise where all would be in want for nothing? Why is there so much suffering, death, and pain over much of the globe? Premature death takes the lives of tens of thousands every day from diseases, wars, and crime. Humanity has the horrific ability to exterminate all life on this planet by way of nuclear, chemical, biological and conventional weaponry. This capacity can be multiplied many, many times over for every man, woman, and child on Earth.
The last century saw catastrophic wars which alone took the lives of more than 150 million souls—most of them civilian. In recent years, armed conflicts, uprisings, insurrections, and global terrorism have raged like an out of control conflagration across this helpless planet setting the stage for even greater catastrophes. One would think that if a glimmer of hope existed anywhere, surely it would be in the avenue of religion. Sadly enough, religion, to which many seek the answers to the problems that hamper mankind, is in dismal disarray. Christians war with Christians over the paths to God; Muslims slay other Muslims over how and why to wage jihad over the infidels; Jews slaughter Jews in observance of their Holy Days; and Buddhists exterminate Buddhists over how to practice the truths of the Eightfold Way. And what they have done to those who do not believe as they do is infinitely worse.
Why do these problems persist? Why are we plagued with so much chaos and confusion? Is the anguish felt by the collective human race simply the result of chance? Is suffering and distress just the way things are and will continue to be?
Scientists know that a basic law of the universe states that for every cause an effect for that cause exists. The catalyst for the pain, hurt, sorrow, and death felt by every human since Adam and Eve is indeed a real and powerful intellect bent on our complete and total destruction. He is the initial cause of all manner of crime, war, and the associating atrocities that accompany it, religious contention and confusion, famine, starvation, disease and all manner of sickness, and every evil the world has ever known. Broken families, broken marriages, broken relationships, and broken societies have a source. The foundation for all the conflicts and dissention the world has ever known is caused by the powerful and brilliantly diabolical entity known as… Lucifer, Prince of Darkness.
Chapter Four
For centuries, many have felt the presence of Lucifer, the Devil to be no more than a fairy tale. Mankind once treated him as a mythical embodiment of evil that satiated man’s desire to name a cause behind the suffering and tragic circumstances that have befell humankind for millennia. Through the years, belief in the existence of such a being who was responsible for evil has waxed and waned— along with the questions that permeate that existence. Does such a being truly exist, and if he does, then where does he come from? What is his purpose? What are his goals and ambitions? What is his intent?
These same questions can be said for the existence of God as well, who is, without a doubt, an inescapable reality and the cause of creation. As surely as the sun rises and sets, if one believes in God then the actuality of Lucifer and his authenticity becomes evidence of the reality of a personal intellect devoted to the universal, powerful, and persistent nature of the temptation to do evil. What else would account for heinous crimes committed by seemingly decent people, from Adam to the present? Even law-abiding people, who pass for what is deemed good
show that they are not good by feeling the urge to do things totally out of keeping with their character. And this includes Christians.
The universal temptation to sin, even by godly people, is best explained by a sustained, personal attack. Evil does not fit the impersonal force category under which it is often placed. Gravity and magnetism are impersonal forces, but they do not personally allure. Evil by its very nature interacts with intellect and will. The existence of thousands of false religions and cults testifies to the existence of a Great Deceiver, along with the proliferation of deception. Apostle Paul wrote, "The Spirit clearly says that in latter times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron (1 Tim. 4:1-2). Consider—as a whole— the direct and indirect evidence for the existence of a personal evil power behind this world is substantial. It is based both in history and in personal experience.
God, who is the epitome of perfection and holiness, along with being the author of all goodness, could not have created evil for it is not His nature to create anything malevolent. Therefore, evil, sin, death, and the Devil had to have had a beginning. The story of Lucifer begins in the prehistory of creation far back before the creation of the universe. The first evidence of the creative and supreme intellect of Elohim was the creation of the angels, spiritual beings who represent the majesty and holiness of Elohim God.
The first angel Elohim created was Lucifer, whose name means Light Bearer
—or, the bringer of the day.
Lucifer was the most beautiful of God’s creations ever and was appointed as the Prime Minister of the Heavens, Worship Leader of the Bene ha Elohim, Chief of the Hosts, Regent of Seraphim and Cherubim, and second in authority to the Holy Trinity. Lucifer was the only angel to be both seraph and cherub garnering him the possession of twelve golden wings that reflected his station. He was high and exalted with a countenance that reflected the radiance of his Creator. His forehead was high and broad, showing a powerful intellect. His hair was like silken threads spun of purest gold. His eyes twinkled with a bluish white light that shone with the intensity of a thousand suns. He had skin that was an alabaster white akin to a great marble statue. His form was perfect, his bearing noble and majestic. A special light beamed in his countenance and shone around him brighter and more gorgeous than around the other angels. This accompanying light had its own angelic representation called Hel’El, the light of God, which existed as a separate entity that was subject to the will of Lucifer. He was clothed in every precious jewel imaginable, which added to the brightness he exuded. Music was created for him and through him, all to exalt the magnificence of Lord Yahweh.
When the Lord told the Host he was going to create the universe, Lucifer led them all in shouting for joy at the beauty of the universe and the creation of the earth, a beautifully crafted world floating in the darkness of space. Lucifer and the rest of the Host were united in joy when Elohim created the universe. Singing and shouting in exultation, Lucifer was in perfect harmony and agreement with Elohim. He was the seal of perfection, beauty and wisdom until something unimaginable occurred. Iniquity was brewing in the heart of this perfectly created being. When Elohim told the Host he was going to create man, a magnificent being designed in His own image to be a little lower than Himself thus higher than the angels. Man would have complete dominion over the earth and the universe it inhabited. Moreover, His son Immanu’El, who had pre-eminence over the Host, would have a special affinity with them and that by divine right as Creator along with the Father and Holy Spirit, He would have dominion over all.
Lucifer became envious and jealous of not only man, but of Immanu’El as well.
The great Creator assembled the heavenly host that He might in the presence of all the angels confer special honor upon His Son. The Son was seated on the throne beside the Father, and the heavenly throng of holy angels gathered around them. The Father then made known that it was ordained by Him that Christ, His Son, should be equal with Himself. Therefore, wherever was the presence of Jesus, it was as His own presence. The word of the Son was to be obeyed as readily as the word of the Father. In His Son He had invested the authority to command the heavenly host, and His Son was to work in union with Himself in the anticipated creation of the earth and every living thing that should exist. His Son would carry out His will and His purposes but would do nothing of Himself alone. The will of the Father would be fulfilled in Christ.
Lucifer grew ever more resentful towards The Son. Yet, when all the angels bowed to Jesus to acknowledge His supremacy and high authority and rightful rule, primary angel bowed with them. Lucifer’s heart burned with envy, pride, and hatred. Christ had been taken into the special counsel of God in regard to His plans while Lucifer was unacquainted with them. He did not understand, neither was he permitted to know the purposes of God. But Christ was acknowledged sovereign of Heaven, His power and authority to be the same as that of God Himself.
Lucifer thought that he was himself a favorite in Heaven among the angels. He had been highly exalted as chief worshipper of God, but gratitude and praise soured in His presence, an aroma that went undiscerned by angels. The Son of the Morning aspired to the height of God Himself. He gloried in his loftiness. He knew that he was honored by all the angels. After all, he had a special mission to execute. He had been near the great Creator, and the ceaseless beams of glorious light enshrouding the eternal God had shone especially upon him. He thought how angels had obeyed his command with pleasurable alacrity.
Were not his garments light and beautiful? Why should Christ thus be honored before himself?
He left the immediate presence of the Father, dissatisfied and filled with bitterness against Jesus Christ. Concealing his real purposes, he assembled those of the angelic host he knew to be sympathetic to his cause— those angels who were more subservient to himself. Lucifer introduced his subject, which was himself. As one aggrieved, Lucifer related the preference God had given Jesus to the neglect of himself. He told them that henceforth all the sweet liberty the angels had enjoyed was at an end. For had not a ruler been appointed over them to whom they henceforth must yield servile honor? He stated to them that he had called them together to assure them that he no longer would submit to this invasion of his rights and theirs and that never would he again bow down to Christ. Lucifer would take the Son’s honor upon himself, which he felt should have been conferred upon him. He would be the commander of all who would submit to follow him and obey his voice. All this was compounded with fact that this new creation called man, would no longer allow them to be the favorite of God’s creations.
Deep in his heart, Lucifer actually felt this honor should be his alone, and while in his personal garden, he cried in anguish and burning rage. Was he not the highest creature that Elohim had created?
The Lord had said of him, You are the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
Lucifer was the wisest creature God ever created. No other angel, no other being was created with the intelligence given him. He was perfect in beauty and apart from the Holy Trinity— Father, Son, and Holy Spirit— he was the highest being. He was the only angel to be created both seraph and cherub. He was the only one granted twelve wings, twelve wings which signified his authority as Prime Minister of the Heavens and, therefore, Chancellor of all governments. Was he not the anointed cherub that covered and guarded the very throne of God and His holiness? He alone had the highest of positions, and he was the highest of God’s creatures, perfect in wisdom, beautiful beyond description. He was the Regent of the Hazzan, Master of Music, Supreme Sarim of the Hosts, and therefore, he should be ruler of all!
These thoughts permeated and resonated through him as he contemplated all this. Lucifer felt that Creation may be better served if someone other than God were to rule it. He felt that God must have wanted someone else to rule because why else would he give His creations freewill and volition. Lucifer thought the reason Elohim created him was for that purpose and, in order to save face, he gave him the ability to come up with this through the freedom of choice. With the free will Elohim had created within him, Lucifer allowed iniquity to fester within his heart, and he conceived a plan that would have the direst of consequences for the entire universe.
Lucifer said within his heart, I will ascend to heaven. I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon. I will ascend to the tops of the clouds. I will make myself like the Most High.
With those five statements, Lucifer began the descent that would ensure the downfall of man, along with his certain destruction. Because of his own vanity, Lucifer deviated from the Light and with those who had chosen to follow him decided to overthrow the rule of Elohim. Lucifer wanted to do this peaceably and leave Elohim as the center and binding force of Creation but with him as the actual ruling power. He was prepared to battle for the throne. When the Sarim of Heaven, who was the seven most powerful archangels in heaven, learned of this plan there was contention among the angels. Lucifer and his sympathizers were striving to reform the government of God. They were discontented and unhappy because they could not look into His unsearchable wisdom and ascertain His purposes in exalting His Son. Endowing Him with such unlimited power and command along with the plan for God to raise living mud to a position greater than theirs was, in their opinion, evidence of senility and utter stupidity.
The seven Lesser Sarim of the Bene ha Elohim, along with the angels that were loyal and true sought to reconcile this mighty, rebellious angel to the will of his Creator. They justified the act of God in conferring honor upon Christ, and with forcible reasoning sought to convince Lucifer that no less honor was his now than before the Father had proclaimed the honor which He had conferred upon His Son. They clearly set forth that Christ was the Son of God, existing with Him before the angels were created. And that He had ever stood at the right hand of God, and His mild, loving authority had not heretofore been questioned. He had given no commands but what was joy for the heavenly hosts to execute. They urged that Christ’s receiving special honor from the Father, in the presence of the angels, did not detract from the glory that Lucifer had heretofore received. They felt the ascension of man was indeed to be momentous, for was he not created in the very image of Elohim? The angels wept. They anxiously sought to move him to renounce his wicked design and yield submission to their Creator for all had heretofore been peace and harmony, and what could occasion this dissenting, rebellious voice?
Lucifer refused to listen. He turned from the loyal and true angels, denouncing them as slaves. These angels, true to God, stood in amazement as they saw that Lucifer was successful in his effort to incite insurrection. He promised scores of winged servants a new and better government than they then had. Freedom. Great numbers signified their purpose to accept him as their leader and chief commander. As he saw his advances were met with success, Lucifer flattered himself that he should yet have all the angels on his side, and that he would be equal with God Himself and his voice of authority would be heard in commanding the entire host of heaven.
Again, the loyal angels warned him, and assured him what must be the consequences if he persisted— that He who could create the angels could by His power overturn all their authority and signal punishment for their audacity and terrible rebellion. To think that an angel should resist the law of God which was as sacred as He? They warned the rebellious to close their ears to Lucifer’s deceptive logic, and advised him and all who had been affected by him to go to God and confess their wrong for even admitting a thought of questioning His authority. Many of Lucifer’s sympathizers were inclined to heed the counsel of the loyal angels and repent of their dissatisfaction and be again received to the confidence of the Father and His dear Son. The mighty inciter of revolution then declared that he was acquainted with God’s law, and if he should submit to servile obedience, his honor would be taken from him. No more would he be entrusted with his exalted mission. Lucifer told them that he and they also had now gone too far to go back; he would brave the consequences. For to bow in servile worship to the Son of God he never would, that God would not forgive. So, now they must assert their liberty and gain by force the position and authority which was not willingly accorded to them. Thus it was that Lucifer, the Light Bearer, who was the glory of God, the attendant of His Throne, Prime Minister of the Heavens, by the transgression of his sin of hubris became Satan the Adversary, the enemy of God, and the bane of mankind.
Chapter Five
The loyal ones hastened speedily to the Son of God and acquainted Him with what was taking place among the angels. They found the Father in conference with His beloved Son to determine the means by which, for the best good of the loyal angels, the assumed authority of Satan could be forever put down. The great God could at once have hurled this arch deceiver from Heaven, but this was not His purpose. He would give the rebellious an equal chance to measure strength and might with His own Son and His loyal angels. In this battle every angel would choose his own side and be manifested to all. It would not have been safe to suffer any who united with Satan in his obstinacy to retain occupancy. They had learned the lesson of genuine rebellion against the unchangeable law of God, and this is incurable. If God had exercised His power to punish this chief rebel, disaffected angels would not have been revealed. Hence, God took another course, for He would manifest distinctly to all the heavenly host His justice and His judgment. War in heaven was imminent for it was the highest crime to rebel against the government of God.
All Heaven seemed in commotion. The angels were marshaled in companies, each division with a higher commanding angel at its head. Satan was at war against the law of God because of his ambition to exalt himself and for being unwilling to submit to the authority of God’s Son, Heaven’s great commander. The entire heavenly host was summoned to appear before the Father to have each case determined.
Satan unblushingly made known his dissatisfaction that Christ should be preferred before Him. He stood up proudly and urged that he should be equal with God and should be taken into conference with the Father and knows His purposes. God informed Satan that to His Son alone He would reveal His secret purposes, and He required all the family in Heaven, even Satan, to yield Him implicit, unquestioned obedience. But that he, Satan, had proved himself unworthy of a place in Heaven.
Then Satan exultingly pointed to his sympathizers, comprising nearly one half of all the angels, and exclaimed, These are with me! Will you expel these also and make such a void in Heaven?
Lucifer then declared that he was prepared to resist the authority of Christ and to defend his place in Heaven by force of might, strength against strength. Angels of the Light wept to hear the words of Satan, and his exulting boasts.
God declared that the seditionists should remain in Heaven no longer. Their high and happy state had been held upon condition of obedience to the law which God had given to govern the high order of intelligences. But no provision had been made to save those who should venture to transgress His law. Satan grew bold in his stance and expressed his contempt of the Creator’s law. This Satan could not bear. He claimed that angels needed no law but should be left free to follow their own will, which would ever guide them right. That law was a restriction of their liberty, and that to abolish law was one great object of his standing as he did. The condition of the angels, he thought, needed improvement. The happiness of the angelic host consisted in their perfect obedience to law. Each had his special work assigned him, and until Satan rebelled, there had been perfect order and harmonious action in Heaven.
Then there was war in heaven.
The Son of God and His faithful angels engaged in conflict with the arch rebel and those who united with him. This confrontation laid waste to not only Heaven but to the entire universe as well. Stars exploded into supernovae. Black holes were formed. Whole worlds were ripped asunder. The perfect design, balance, and harmonious symphony that governed the universe were broken into entropy, and the sparkling jewel that was the earth was left formless and void. Creation was no longer the perfection that it once was. However, despite the cosmic destruction and mayhem, the Son of God and His true, loyal angels prevailed. Satan and his sympathizers were expelled from Heaven. The entire heavenly host acknowledged and adored the God of justice.
Not a taint of rebellion was left in God’s abode. All was again peaceful and harmonious as before. Heavenly angels mourned the fate of those who had been their companions in happiness and bliss. Their loss filled Heaven. The Father consulted His Son and the Holy Spirit in regard to at once carrying out their purpose to make man to inhabit the earth. He would place man upon probation to test his loyalty before he could be rendered eternally secure. If he endured the test wherewith God saw fit to prove him, man should eventually be set above the angels. He was to have the favor of God. He was to converse with angels and them with him. God did not see fit to place them beyond the power of disobedience.
Lucifer and the third of the Host who followed him were thrown indignantly from Heaven. Their fall, which was like devastating lightning flashing throughout the cosmos, sent them hurtling toward Earth. As they fell, the former ministers of the glory of Elohim were transformed from their once beautiful appearances, into hideous, monstrous representations that reflected their dreadful and repulsive natures. They struck the earth with such devastating force that the planet was laid waste and barren. Dust arose from the ground, enough to blot out the sun. The planet’s entire ecosystem was destroyed and left formless and an impenetrable darkness covered the once lush and fertile world. As the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit discussed Their plans for the restructuring of the earth, Lucifer, fully reconciled with his new designation as Satan the Adversary, gathered his cohorts and informed them that their war was not yet over. Though they had suffered a terrible defeat, Elohim made a crucial error in not fully destroying them. By leaving them corporeal, they could still wage a second war to take Heaven by force, only this time they would ever more carefully plan their strategy.
Chapter Six
The Bermuda Triangle has, for decades, been the sight of many disappearances. The reasons for these occurrences have been speculated about by scholars and skeptics alike, but the reason for these happenings would astonish all if they knew the truth. The Bermuda Triangle is a conflux of extra-dimensional energies associated with the existence of Atlantis, but also, and most extraordinarily, it is the site of the palace of Satan. Contrary to popular belief and much in part to the work of the Great Deceiver, Satan and his fallen minions do not reside and rule in Hell. Hell was created to serve originally as the place of punishment for Satan and those who chose to follow his light of rebellion against the light of the law of God. It came to be the final place of eternal torment for those humans who chose to follow the sons and ministers of disobedience. The downfall of man and the ruin of creation were all inspired by the machinations of Satan.
When Satan and his evil companions were cast out of Heaven, Elohim God disallowed them access to Heaven with the exception of Satan. Lucifer used this to enhance his dominion over those who fell with him as he did before his expulsion. When he found out that Elohim was going to re-create earth and the universe after his fall, Satan put his deviously complex plan into motion. He proposed to The Creator that if mankind was to inhabit and rule over the earth, then he should be allowed to exercise his right as a sentient being with free will. Mankind would also be permitted to choose to follow the restrictive law of Elohim or to pursue the beauty of true freedom and follow the light of Lucifer. Elohim agreed, and the battle for the soul of man begun. After his deception of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, Satan became the sole proprietor and master of the Earth and received the deed to the planet, and the ruin of creation was introduced. The universe and all in it was created to be eternal and perfect, but the iniquity of man introduced entropy and death into the cosmos.
Satan caused several things to occur through his temptations. One consequence of the fall of man is the curse on creation since life and blessing came from God, and God inhabits the spiritual realm. Earth’s reduced fecundity post the fall can be thought of as a disruption of the power flow of the sustaining energy of the spiritual realm into the physical realm of the two-storied
universe. The previously perfect union between the visible and invisible dimensions was diminished and disrupted by Adam’s sin. Active evil also began to operate in both realms. Another result is the quality of time experienced by the first parents in the Garden of Eden was drastically changed at the time of their fall.
Another result was the introduction of the Second Law of Thermodynamics, since the universe was previously self-renewing. The second law can be stated in three ways. Firstly, energy to be used to work at becoming less available with the passage of time. Second, orderly systems have a tendency to fall apart, collapse, rot, and decay with the passage of time, and, thirdly, the information content of a system (a measure of the degree of order) tends to decrease as well. The once orderly, perfect universe is running apart, losing its order and splendor and becoming inexorably more chaotic. The Adversary’s interference with mankind also introduced radioactive decay into the universe because the one time great stability of certain atomic nuclei is now unstable or marginally homeostatic. Lastly, catastrophes and natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, wind storms, and famines were unknown in creation before the fall. Predatory behavior in the animal world was unknown. Thorns, thistles, pests, and disease were nonexistent. Opportunistic weeds, bugs, diseases, and maladies along with the premise of survival of the fittest becoming prominent in the animal kingdom.
Despite Satan’s apparent triumph in the Garden of Eden, Elohim had, in fact, knew this would happen, for He was aware of the end from the beginning and allowed Lucifer’s plan to work. God has a causative will as well as a permissive will. Also, for reasons unknown at the time, the Creator allowed Satan to blind the eyes of many to the truth and permitted the Master of Deception to pervert the legitimacy of the Word of God. These lies and prevarications would allow Lucifer to implement his nefarious and diabolical schemes to not only turn countless numbers to his dark radiance, but also condemn them to an eternity in the netherworld of Gehenna.
Chapter Seven
Again, the center of the Bermuda Triangle, located in a dimensional aperture just outside the visible realm in which normal space exists, is where the ostentatious palace of Lucifer sits. The creation of the Triangle is shrouded in the shadows of the time of the Great Flood. After the Fall of Man in the Garden of Eden and Lucifer procured the title deed to the earth, he sat his throne in the area where the island of Atlantis would be located on the super continent of Pangaea. There Satan began his plot to destroy the curse that God had placed on him and the earth. Satan was also aware of the curse that God had placed between his seed and the seed of the woman. With his great intelligence, Lucifer ascertained the fact that this referred to a future scion of his and the appearance of God, the Son in flesh, where he would redeem the souls of humankind thereby repairing the schism between Elohim and man.
During the time between when man was cast from the Garden of Eden and the Great Flood, Lucifer contrived a many-layered scheme to ensure what he thought would be his eventual success in overthrowing the reign of Elohim. Replacing God’s dominion with his own standard became the fallen angel’s obsession.
First, because he still had access to Heaven, Lucifer used his influence and cunning in the Council of Seraphim and Cherubim. The debate within the council was about how to best safeguard humanity. The Council knew mankind was imperfect and needed to be taught selflessness and reverential fear of God, yet some seraphim and cherubim felt that humanity could be spiritually enlightened only if Heaven controlled their development— angels overtly ruling over them. Others pointed out that it was God’s decree that humanity should be left alone to choose their own paths. How could Heaven protect mankind and at the same time, refrain from interfering in the Great Experiment?
In answer, the Council of Seraphim and Cherubim, with the divine inspiration of Elohim, created the Grigori, or the Watchers, a select group of angels whose duty it would be to observe and report on humankind. The Grigori could blend with humanity, cope with the petty selfishness and daily sins of men without twitching in repulsion at their iniquities, interact with humans as near-equals, and all the while retain their divinity. The Grigori were the only angels who really understood humans and despite their loving and intuitive understanding the intricate web of human relationships, they were still removed from mankind; they behaved as benevolent teachers keeping themselves at once involved and yet detached from their pupils. Even the most congenial of angels knew that they were a different order of being than man, holy and celestial and complete unlike mortals.
However, Satan, the master of deception and guile interjected that he too deserved a select group of his angels to become Watchers as well, to balance out the divine chess match he was playing with the Creator. So, in accordance with Divine Law, the Fallen were allowed to have two hundred of their ilk to become Grigori, and Satan chose some of his most loyal followers to become a part of this crucial group. This was part of the stratagem that was in the mind of Lucifer, for he knew that the group of demonic agents he had selected would be greatly influenced by the close proximity they would have with humans. And this fact would indeed play a major
