About this ebook

Have you found yourself constantly being offended by the challenges of life? No matter how much you try to walk in love, walk by faith, and walk in the Spirit, you seem to get offended at home, at the office, at the gym, or even at church? Or do you find yourself constantly offending others? If so, this book is for you. Through the Word of God and his experiences in the real world, Robert Hitchman will show you how the enemy tries to get you offended, the purpose of offense, and also how you can not only resist it but overcome it. Youll see through the Word of God what God has to say about offense, the tools He has provided for you to be victorious, what Jesus did when the enemy tried to get Him offended, and how you can avoid offending others.

Author

Robert Hitchman

Robert Hitchman lives in Rockland County, New York, with his wife of eighteen years, their teenage daughter, and their cat. He’s worked for the local phone company for over twenty years. Though he has gone to college, he doesn’t have a degree, nor is he a licensed or ordained minister. He’s living proof that the Word of God works not just for ministers but for anyone who will exercise their faith and trust God in every area of life. So God, through Robert’s life, takes away all the excuses for all you non-preachers out there.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

First of all I’d like to acknowledge my wife Yvette for praying for me throughout this project and for giving me the time to work on this book. I’d also like to acknowledge my daughter Christina, an honor student, for her help as my proofreader on my first draft.

I would also like to acknowledge my cousin Maxine Thomas and her husband Errol. Their godly lifestyle is an inspiration to me. And a special thanks goes to Maxine, being an author herself, for giving me direction in finding a good and godly publisher as well as other tips in writing.

I must also acknowledge Harold Perkins. Although I haven’t spoken with him in over 10 years (in part because I live in New York and he lives in California) it was his godly lifestyle back in the early 80’s that showed me the light. And it was he who, in a small apartment in Yuma, Arizona back in 1985, showed me the scriptures and led me to the Lord. So, obviously without whom, none of this would have been possible.

Finally, of course I have to acknowledge my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have to thank Him for dying on the Cross for my sins and making everything else possible, such as my beautiful and godly wife, my godly and intelligent daughter, my cousin and her husband, my friend Harold, my church, and all the other ministries I receive from. But most of all,
