Introduction
In this book I want to talk about the life of dreams and visions. This is a very important subject in the life of a human being. So, let me start by saying this powerful statement, life is a vision and those who have the opportunity to live are sustained by dreams and visions
. The first statement of the holy bible quotes that In the beginning was God
. Before the foundations of the earth, He was there. He created the heavens and the earth, day and night, seasons and years, all different kinds of plants (vegetation) and animals and most importantly us (humans). In all this wonderful creation, we note that the main focus was on man who was created for the sole purpose of dominating the earth and manifesting Gods vision. Allow me to declare that God had a vision to dominate and rule in this heaven and earth that He had created. However he decided to create man and give him that mandate of manifesting His kingdom here on earth. We note that when every other living thing was created, only words were released, but with man He created them in His likeness and further breathed on him thus putting the God nature in him (see Genesis 2:7). Now I hope you understand me clearly when I say life is Gods vision. If you could take your time and study life in general, you will agree with me that any outcome of the human life has so much to do with their dreams and visions. What you are today is a result of certain actions (decisions) you have taken previously and most clearly, they relate to your dreams and visions (beliefs). This applies to every human being living under the sun. It is worth noting though that many people’s lives are controlled by the dreams and visions of others. Not that they cannot live a life of their own dreams and visions, but because of lack of knowledge and understanding of who they are and what they are capable of doing in this life. I believe the subject covered in this book is very important for everybody regardless of their age, race, skin colour, gender, background etc. This book will blow your mind and will cause you to understand who you are, what you can achieve as well as how you can achieve those dreams and visions you have for your life. It will further inform and remind you about the strongholds and pillars of unlimited success in this life. Man ought to understand that he has only one opportunity to live in this world; hence they have to fully utilize their opportunities to the maximum. You need to understand that this life is a once off gift. Physically man is born once and thereafter awaits death. Now for life to have a sense of meaning and direction there is no other way but to follow the rules that will give you the best results. If you take life as a game, you need to understand the rules of the game in order to win. So in this book we want to define life as a vision hence we will be discussing the rules of a vision thereof.
Chapter 1
Defining a Dream
Vision without action is but a dream, Action without vision just passes the time, and Vision with action can change the world. ~~Joel Barker
It is very important then to get a clear understanding of the meaning of the terms dream and vision before defining your own vision in life. In this chapter, I will define a dream and further explain how it is related to the life of your dreams and visions.
Each time we mention the term dream
, we always relate it to a vision. They look so similar that we do not even bother to find the difference between them. Worth noting is that these are two English words that mean different things. Even though they are so related, their meaning is different. Having said they are different, I mean you cannot say a dream is a vision or a vision is a dream. It is for this reason that I wish to make a distinction between them so that the subject of this book is not confused. Many sources give different definitions of a dream, hence we will discuss a series of them without any intention to undermine each one of them, but to try and accommodate all of them for the objective of this book to be achieved. According to the oxford dictionary, a dream is a series of images, events and feelings that happen in your mind while you are asleep. Now the question is where do these images come from? A definition from the basics about dreaming says dreams are a communication of body, mind and spirit in a symbolic communicative environmental state of being. That’s it! Now that you are thoroughly confused let me explain in a more down to earth language. Our brains are in constant activity. Different states of consciousness (like awake, asleep, alert, drowsy, excited, bored, concentrating or daydreaming) cause different brain wave activity. Our conscious mind, or the part we think with, our window
into life, only takes up a very small portion of our brain activity (Some say this is only 10%). Other areas control things like breathing, heartbeat, converting light to vision, sound to hearing, balance when we walk, etc. This too has its own percentage (small). Another area controls imagination. This area is widely an undiscovered frontier. Imagination is more than dreaming of a new car or picturing someone with their clothes off! When you look at clouds and see shapes or wood grain and see images, this is the order from chaos
part of your imagination. The mind cannot deal with chaos very well; in fact it will resist it and sometimes manufacture order (Very important to the dreaming process). This too occupies a small percentage of brain activity. Then there is memory. Memory is vast! And I believe it occupies more of the brains resources than most people believe. Another definition of a dream has been sourced from the holy bible. According to the bible, God used dreams to communicate divine messages to human kind. He would appear in a form of a dream to human kind that carried a specific message for that individual. It is worth noting though that to some it would be a straight forward message and to some it would be visual story tales that required interpretation. For instance,
