Ying Yang Book 1 Brothers of Evil & the Fear - Leroy Weeden

    CHAPTER ONE

    The Arrival

It was like any other day. Darkside was doing his normal thing, not very much. He was a very chilled, laid back person. He never really seemed to be too ambitious, just content with things for the most part, going with the flow. He had always wondered why his brothers and his friends always wanted so much more in life. It just seemed so unnecessary for him.

Then there was his brother, Chaos. He had followed in his father’s footsteps and was a major in the Ying Yang army. Then there were their best friends, Trinity. She was the peaceful one, but she was always aunary and ready for a fight. She worked as a security guard for the area. Then, her brother. He too did the same thing as Trinity.

Chaos had always tried to push his brother to do more with his life rather than be an average person, but Darkside was a bit stubborn and wasn’t feeling it. The group was always very close and they had grown up with each other. Trinity always had a crush on Darkside, but he never really looked at her the same way she looked at him.

It was one summer afternoon and the four of them were hanging out as they normally did. As they were downtown, they heard a crash. The sirens went off, and everyone was in a bit of a panic. Chaos, Trinity and her brother had taken off to see what was going on, while Darkside just stayed back.

As it turned out, there was a ship that had crashed on the northern side of town. The police arrived to investigate it and pulled out a being who was badly damaged. The injured subject had cried out, Help me… Help me… They’re coming… ! They took him away for medical treatment to nurse him back to health.

So they left and went back home and like usual, Darkside was doing nothing but being lazy. His brother looked at him and said, Hey, let’s go to the gym. Let’s work out.

Darkside responded, Nah, I don’t feel like it.

It’s been a while since you did any training, you should come. Chaos said.

Again, Darkside replied, Nope. I’m just gonna stay here tonight. I don’t feel like going anywhere.

Chaos pressed on, Come on, Trinity and her brother are gonna be there!

And once again, with lack of interest, Darkside replied, Naw I’m just gonna stay here.

Meanwhile, in northern uptown, the being who had crash landed was in a recovery room. Little did everyone know that this so-called casualty was no mere casualty.

Two weeks had went by since the day of the crash. Ramis, the person in the crash, was up and about and had made good friends with the people of Ying Yang. He seemed to fit in, and everybody loved him but they had no idea that he was hiding his true colors. As all this was going on, Darkside, his brother, and their two friends were just hanging out; not doing too much, the group always hung out together all the time.

Chaos had suggested to his brother, You should join the military with me. It’d be a good fit for you.

He replied, No, it’s just not me. It doesn’t suit my style.

Trinity had then came out and said with a smirk, No what you should do is take me out sometime!

Darkside looked at her. Like I said before, you and I grew up together. I’ve known you for years. Us going out just strikes me as too weird!

Chaos then butted in again and said, No, my brother needs to join the Ying Yang military with me. It’s what he needs.

No, he needs to take me out! Trinity argued. Then Darkside just rolled his eyes.

Darkside then looked a Trinity’s brother. Well, you wanna go somewhere else while these two are fighting?

Her brother replied, It is so. And they got up and left the two to bicker.

Chaos and Trinity were so consumed with their fight about Darkside’s future plans that they didn’t even notice that the two had left.

    CHAPTER TWO

    The Beginning Of The End

Three weeks passed and like usual, everyone was up to the same thing. Chaos was away on a mission. Trinity and her brother were out patrolling the area and like usual, Darkside had just come home from doing nothing. Meanwhile Ramis was meeting up with the head leaders of the division. One of the key leaders seemed to like his idea. Ramis had ideas for changes that could be made to the areas security.

The next day, Chaos had returned from his mission and was at home with his brother. Chaos had told Darkside there a division meeting for the morning and that Darkside should go, but he once again responded with great uninterest and lack of enthusiasm that he didn’t want to go.

    Why? Chaos asked.

Darkside replied, Meetings are boring! Why would I wanna go to that? That’s just a bunch of people talking about ideas and recaps. I don’t want to go to that.

Chaos said, It would be good for you to know what’s going on. And plus, you remember that guy who crashed here about a month ago?

What guy that crashed here a month ago? Darkside asked.

Chaos said in disbelief, Really? You don’t remember the crash that happened?
