Local high school Homecoming parade through a small town (Bucheit (pronounced Buck-ite) population 5,000) courthouse square.

Lots of spectators around the square with lawn chairs and many standing.

There are 5 vehicles with queen candidates sitting on top of the vehicles (legs through the sunroofs). Candidates all smiling and waving.

The camera ZOOMS in on the (to be—KELSEY) winner.

The parade occurs prior to the Homecoming game when the winner is announced.

    Begin CREDITS

MUSIC—upbeat, cheery and catchy—plays during all of the opening parade scenes, leading to the Title card.

    INT. HOMECOMING GAME FOOTBALL FIELD—NIGHT

Two football teams playing. Lots of spectators, band music, and bright lights.

The first half of the game ends and a halftime high school band show goes into action.

The Band completes a song and then splits into two sections on the field facing the center with an isle.

The queen candidates and their escorts are all lined up to walk through the isle.

Band starts playing a very soft slow song.

Announcements are made (in the background) as each of the five queen candidates walk with a football player down the isle.

KELSEY (the to-be winner) is escorted down the isle by her boyfriend TREVOR. She’s wearing a stylish dress and heels (hoping not to sink in the field), with a big smile.

Her parents and family are in the stands watching anxiously as she walks forward.

Kelsey’s family consists of JIM (her Dad), MARY (her Mom); both in their late 40s. KYLIE (her younger sister, age 8-10).

The announcer announces the names of the parents and they smile proudly, stand up and applaud for their daughter.

    ANNOUNCER

    Queen Candidate Kelsey Williams—

daughter of Jim and Mary Williams.

Kelsey is a very cute and a friendly senior who everyone likes. She is not a cheerleader, however, plays sports and is involved with many groups & organizations, and maintains high grades.

The winner is chosen based on a voting process of the whole school (approximately 600 students).

Trevor is also a senior and is the quarterback for the team. Trevor is very good looking, however, cocky and not real smart when it comes to common sense. He is also a flirt with other girls when Kelsey is not around or not looking, and sometimes even when she is looking.

As they proceed down the isle, Trevor is smiling and winking at some of the band girls, in their uniforms, making them smile.

Kelsey and Trevor approach a long flatbed wagon, Kelsey climbs the wood steps, and joins the other candidates in line, all anxiously awaiting the winner announcement. Trevor stands with the other guys, looking and acting as cocky as ever.

    ANNOUNCER (cont’d)

    This year’s Bucheit Highschool

homecoming queen is… . Kelsey Williams!

Kelsey’s mouth is wide open in surprise (she never thought she would win).

The crowd applauds and the band starts playing the school song. Kelsey is crowned by the prior year’s queen and stands there smiling and waving at the crowd.

Her parents, and sister, are jumping up and down with happiness and are so excited.

Two of the girls on the wagon (who are cheerleaders, and thought they would win) had mean and frustrated facial expressions and just want to get off the wagon.

The other two have smiles, hug Kelsey and congratulate her.

Trevor stands below the wagon in front of Kelsey with the other players acting more cocky because it was
