    Uncle Duncan help, help me!

Twelve year old Teagan Nathan cried out in the dead of night as she lay in her dark purple bedroom under her white silver bed sheets snuggling a stuffed bunny crying in fear as her thin body In red pajamas’ started shaking in fear as the wind blew branches against her one window and made it sound like someone trying to break in to her uncles small ranch house. Which only added to the young red haired, blue eyed girls fear. So without waiting for her uncle to come she ran full on down the hallway and right into Duncan Reynirs canopy black covered double bed in his blue bedroom, shaking the man awake as she whimpered.

The men took me again only this time in my dream there was a woman with blonde hair and glasses with the two men as they took me as a baby out of my crib!

That was all the young girl could get out before she started crying as her muscular middle aged blonde haired uncle hugged her tightly to his flannel shirt as he whispered to her.

Honey it was only a dream just a nightmare that’s all no one will ever hurt you I promise!

But I keep having it what if it means that someone will hurt me?

No one will ever hurt you, you know why?

Duncan asked in a kind soft voice. As the young girl shook her head as her uncle put her glasses on her as he kissed her forehead and whispered.

I will always be here to protect you. that’s why, because I love you!

My parents said that to and look what happened there they just up and left me on your doorstep when I was four years old!

I know honey I don’t know why they did that but I know my sister-in-law loved you and your dad to.

    Yea ok sure!

Teagan huffed as she lay down with her uncle and fell fast asleep in his arms.

Duncan however did not fall back asleep instead he sat up in the bed as memories of the day he found his niece asleep on the doorstep when she was four years old with a note in her coat pocket that read.

`Please take care of your niece Teagan though you don’t know her we have no choice but to leave her in your care as we cannot find her mom and dad.

But as strange as the note was it was the signature at the bottom of it that Duncan had found stranger then strange.

    Because it was signed

    BLACK MAILER

Yet Duncan had been raising Teagan for eight years now and had not heard from this black mailer again not one other single letter or black mailing demand so he was left to ponder what his brother Wyatt and Teagan’s mom Coryn Reynir had gotten themselves into? And had this black mailer been the one who killed his brother and sister in law?

The answer to all this had eluded the middle aged man for eight long years so he just brushed his blonde hair out of his blue eyes and flopped back on the double bed exhausted of trying to figure the mystery out. But as he put his hands over his face in pure frustration of not knowing what was going on he heard the quiet RING! RING!

His cell phone was going off on his nearby dresser.

Angry that someone was phoning his cell phone at like three in the morning Duncan answered it and spat as he went into the blue L shaped kitchen so as not to wake his niece back up he growled into the flip phone.

Who is this and what the fuck is so important you had to call this early in the morning?!

So she’s dreaming again is she I’m sorry for Teagan but for now it has to be this way because if my master ever finds her she’s dead so go because he’s getting close to finding you!

Are you the one who wrote me the letter are you black mailer?

That’s for me to know and though you have a lot to find out you can’t find it out now but take your niece and leave town right now if you wanna keep her safe got it!

"But why would you sign your letter black mailer then call me worried for my nieces safety eight years later

But by the time he had finished asking that question the man on the other end had hung up.

`Was he serious about the danger to Teagan?`

Duncan asked himself as he sat at their three seated wooden kitchen table and thought for a moment then jumped to his feet suddenly very afraid of losing his niece as well he went and packed the young girls room, toys and clothes and books up and threw them in his blue pickup truck before he put the sleeping girl in the front seat and drove off into the night as fast as his truck would carry
