About the author My name is Marc Castera. I was born in the year of 1959 in Haiti. I am a product of Europe, Asia and Africa, for both of my parents are mixed; my mom, the daughter of an Anglo and an afro, while my father is the son of a mixed man and a migrant woman from India. In 1973, yet 11years old, my parents migrated to America and I cherished that new home but I noted that the warmth was missing. I was 14 but I vowed to poeticize the soil of America. I began writing sentimental notes, letters and poems for my peers helping them restore their lost intimate relationship; in the process, I earned the nicknamed “Mr. Poetic”; I served in the US army as intelligence and then, honorably discharged seven years later. In 2005, I attended USF to complete a bachelor degree in French and a master in education. I speak French, Creole and Spanish. I’m a family man, an educator by profession, an entrepreneur, a poet, and a Jehovah Witness by faith; through their accurate biblical studies my heart was trained to assimilate the language of genuine loving. Nevertheless, I offer this unique manuscript with a strong sense of urgency; hence, it is not designed only to serve America but appropriate for the enlightenment of the whole world at large.
