About this ebook

The book is based on my 30 years of practice of Infectious diseases and discovery of a new approach to diagnosis and treatment of Chronic Lymes Disease, which is still controversial in the minds of some physicians, health insurance companies and some beurocrats politicians

My experience made me realize the dilemmas of the recognition of the disease in the medical community and its implication on the people suffering with it. It

made me understand how it may be spreading in United States and how it may be

prevented as a Public Health issue. CDC reports there are 300,000 new cases every year in United states as the Chronic Lymes Disease is being misdiagnosed and mis-treated frequently.

    Overview

The book is based on my thirty years of practice of infectious diseases and discovery of a new approach to diagnosis and treatment of chronic Lyme disease, which is still controversial in the minds of some physicians, health insurance companies, and some bureaucrat politicians. My experience made me realize the dilemmas of the recognition of the disease in the medical community and its implication on the people suffering from it. It made me understand how it may be spreading in the United States and how it may be prevented as a public health issue. CDC reports there are three hundred thousand new cases every year in the United States as chronic Lyme disease is being misdiagnosed and mistreated frequently. Hence, to bring this awareness to the public and health-care providers, I was compelled to write this book.

    CHAPTER 1

    Case Report 1

A twenty-four-year-old woman came to my office in a wheelchair with bandage on her eyes and was totally confused. She complained of pain all over her body, muscle weakness, and fatigue. She had been diagnosed with major psych disorder. The father, who was a doctor, thought she was crazy too and had her on several antipsychotic medications, but he wanted to give her another chance, so he brought her to my office. But in talking to her, she was an extremely intelligent woman. So I decided to investigate, and what I had discovered is in this book.
