Conclusion
I would like to dedicate this book to a very special being, my spirit guide, Senenakwa.
She comes to me when I need her most, as all good friends should do.
Preface
I believe that intuitive powers lay dormant in many people, but the element of faith plays an important part in how we develop these gifts. For several years now, the energy, which is always changing and growing, is becoming more intense. With that, many more people are experiencing the phenomena of spirit contact. I like to call this our own sacred place.
As we raise our vibrations, we find ourselves on a higher plane, being able to understand our spirituality more easily. Also, like Nature, we emit our own Light, so to speak,
and that radiance is not just from our aura, but it is the light
of ourselves that enables us to learn, experience, and fathom the supernatural.
I also wanted to recognize the experience of premonition. I have been hearing more and more people talking about this gift, and I hope that when one actually sees coming events, please know it is not just shadows being cast. Take these incidents seriously. Pay attention to that tug
at your ear, that sudden instant memory that instills the feeling of loss or love. We all have it. I just wish all people would attempt to utilize it. It’s there for a reason. It is there to be embraced, enjoyed, and shared. Being open to Spirit can only bring you closer to your own Light.
When I started writing my first book, I tried to instill the purpose of Spirit in each story. We live in such a diverse world today among the Internet, television, and other forms of media, where there is now so much evidence of Spirit encounters. I also believe that our spirituality is the divine spark of our soul.
Some of the stories in this book involve Nature Spirits, which is one of my favorite subjects. Other stories will be the acknowledgment of those who are now aware of their Spirit guides, which are very important in our lives when we walk the spiritual path on this plane. I have seen more and more people who are searching for knowledge, which in turn helps us strengthen our soul spark. This enables us to begin to share our blessed gifts as should be our karmic intention. That in itself leads me to believe that nothing is without meaning.
Acknowledgments
S o many people have influenced my Spirit journey. It would probably take three pages to list them all. So instead, I will thank them from my heart because they all know who they are. Love and Light to you all, as ever.
There is one very special person I would like to thank, and that is my granddaughter Kelsey Perreira. Because of her patience and her advice while writing this book, she truly deserves much thanks and love from this old woman, her grandmother.
I would also like to thank Grace Perkins for the beautiful photograph of Two Spirits Dancing
for the back cover picture. It gives the book the perfect ending.
Introduction
W e all carry our own energy with us, but also tend to leave a bit of ourselves in certain places. Let me explain this as best I can and give you an example.
Near our barn, we have two small storage sheds. I call one of them Creepy shed. I realized that I felt this way about this small structure because I rarely go in it. It has acquired its own energy, dark and foreboding, especially in the corners. Now I never considered myself one of those wussy
women," but when something has to be retrieved from Creepy shed, I send my husband or one of his employees in.
One day, no one was at the barn except for me. I had promised to bring two boxes of antique mason jars to Christine at the Sisters of Solace. I couldn’t put it off any longer. I had to venture into Creepy shed. I stood before it and asked my guides to make sure I did not experience a Twilight Zone moment. The door
