About this ebook

There really are three major sections of the book, "Watch Israel". The first is identifying why the current popular view of what is going to happen is wrong, and what we should be expecting instead. The second section is about what the Bible has to say about life during the 1000 year kingdom era. The third section is about what is going to happen at the end of the 1000 year kingdom era and why a major portion of prophecy expected in our near future will not occur until a thousand years from now. The temple in Jerusalem will not exist until Christ returns to supervise its construction. Once the temple in Jerusalem is built, Christ will rule the earth from there for 1000 years. Thus it will not be possible for the Antichrist to set up the abomination of desolation there now before Christ returns. Once Christ returns, he will totally control the whole earth. At the end of the 1000 year kingdom the temple will exist to be occupied by the Antichrist and abomination of desolation at that time after Christ withdraws..
The days of the US Dollar as the worlds reserve currency are numbered, 2013 will be the first year in which emerging markets account for more than half of worlds GDP on the basis of purchasing power. The BRIC nations have all built up huge currency reserves (mainly in U.S. dollars). Collectively, the four countries have about US$4.7 trillion in reserves, with China holding about US$3.5 trillion of that.
The next step forward in this convergence will be when an emerging-market currency challenges the reserve status of the U.S. dollar and an emerging financial market overtakes the one in the U.S. The Chinese renminbi is already entrenched as one of the top 10 most-traded currencies in the world. And the Chinese domestic bond market is already the fourth largest and its growing at 30% a year! Eventually challenging the U.S. dollar as the worlds reserve currency. The transition wont happen overnight. But the wheels are already in motion.

Over the years, the United States has developed a bubble with their money and economy. The Chinese have also developed their own bubble with their money and economy. The showdown in Washington between the political parties about a government shutdown is about to occur again in January 2014. This time could well cause the bubble to burst and a collapse in the value of the US dollar and US Treasury Bills. One major result of this will be a drop in funding for the military and reduction of its military activities in the world. This will further cause financial problems in the world.
While this is going on we have Israel concerned about Iran developing necular weapons they could use against Israel. They have even stated that they will deal with Iran's efforts on their own if necessary to prevent it. It is likely that Israel is eventually going to attack Iran in the near future to deal with their necular weapon effort. This could trigger the invasion of Israel by the Russian army along with many Muslim nations around Israel and this battle is discussed in my book, "Watch Israel" along with various bible verses that predict this happening.
The invasion of Israel cannot occur until the USA and England are no longer able to oppose it other than by their representatives speaking about it in the UN. This is in the process of being set up in the form of the current financial disaster in the USA and is resulting in England and the rest of the world. It will be the overspending of the US financial resources that will cause the US to stop being the policeman for the world and the result will leave Israel defenseless other than their own military which will be insufficient to stop the Russian led invasion. This will be another sign of the nearness of the end. Watch Israel for when they are on their own for defense as a sign of the nearness of the end.

Author

Larry E. Ellison

I have been a bible student with a strong interest in Bible prophecy and especially time of the end prophecy for over 40 years. I have been struck with the amount of prophecy that exists in the Bible. I also have been struck by the contradictions in what is commonly accepted as the way to interpret it and what to expect is going to occur in the near future and what is actually there in Bible prophecy. We need to change our priorities and stop trying to gain worldly possessions and seek instead to do the things that the Lord has asked us to do so that when the time comes we may be among those taken and not those left behind. This was the motivation behind my writting my book "Watch Israel" and having it published to share my message with as many as read it and discuss it with others, friends, family members and members who attend the same church with them.

    Dedication

I dedicate this book to our Lord Jesus Christ and seek his blessing for this effort in his service. May my efforts bring recognition of the events around us. As they match up events with the written word of prophecy given for our instruction in the Bible may they encourage others to open their Bibles and read what God has written there to bring us closer to Him. May this book inspire others to come to recognize the need to understand what is happening and what to do about it.

Bible prophecy is centered on Israel where key events are to occur

Zech 14:1 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, when thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

Zech 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished: and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

This is a prophecy that has occurred over and over in the past. We are now considering the final application of these words in our own times. We are being told that nations will come against Israel and especially Jerusalem in battle. This means that we need to watch Israel and the things that are occurring in Israel that can be matched up with the word of prophecy.

Zech 14:3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Zech 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

This is the result of an earthquake and the next verse v5 relates it to one that occurred in the past.

Zech 14:5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the holy ones with thee.

Thus we see that a major event connected with the return of Christ is the invasion of Israel which He will end by returning and placing His feet on the Mt of Olives outside Jerusalem. When His feet touch the ground it will trigger a major earthquake.

    Ezek 38:19 For in my jealousy [and] in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

Not only does Ezekiel 38 describe a great earthquake connected with Divine intervention in a battle in Israel, but he also describes the effects of it is such a way that we are told that it will be felt all around the world. The fish of the sea, birds of heaven, and all men on the face of the earth shall shake at His presence as we see in the next verse, v20.

Ezek 38:20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that [are] upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall to the ground.

Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Rev 2:17 . . . and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

    Rev 2:18 . . . who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

Rev 3:12 . . . and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Vesture dipped in blood, literally dipped in the blood of the enemies He conquers at His coming. The Word of God, this name is applied here to Christ.

John 1:1 IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

    1 John 1:1 That which was from the begining, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Armies of heaven clothed in fine white linen, followed Him on white horses.

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Matt 24:15 Jesus warned of Abomination of Desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing in the Holy Place.

Abomination of desolation has a technical Jewish meaning which is to desecrate the temple by bringing an unholy thing into the holy place

The Holy Place is located in the Jewish Temple and currently the first two Temples have been destroyed a long time ago. Currently there is no temple in Jerusalem and therefore no Holy Place for the Abomination of Desolation to desecrate. The third temple has not yet been built. There are plans for it and a number of people are trying to get set up to build it.

A major obstacle to the construction of the third Jewish Temple in Jerusalem where the previous two temples stood is the Dome of the Rock which is built squarely in the middle of what was the Holy Place in the second temple. In a sense this could be considered an Abomination of Desolation as the Jews are not able to rebuild the temple there nor to resume their worship there.

There is a lot of hostility between Israel and the Palestinians. They consider the Dome of the Rock to be their 2nd most holy spot on earth. In addition to that there has been continued hostility between Israel and the Palestinians who want to get what they consider their land back from Israel.

The Russians are promising to assist or protect the Palestinians in their efforts. The only thing preventing Russia from invading Israel is the United States. Currently the USA is deeply in debt and on the verge of a financial crisis. The American dollar along with the stock market is on the verge of a financial collapse. When that happens the USA will not be able come to Israel’s aid should the Russians lead an invasion of Israel.

Another sign of the nearness of the return of Christ will be when the United States and Great Britain go into isolation from Europe and the rest of the World including bringing their troops home from the various places that they are actively located. This will enable the invaders led by Russia to feel more confident about invading Israel. This will occur when the financial collapse that is developing becomes a reality in the near future.

With the benefit of hind sight, we can look at the precedent set by the USA in its two invasions of Iraq to serve as an example for Russia to use to justify their armed invasion of Israel along with other nations joining in. Thus we need to watch Israel to see when they are in this situation. No doubt the amount of time involved will be much less than that allowed for in Iraq as the intention is the total destruction of Israel. It may be several months, or several weeks or even a few days probably more dependent on the time required to set up for the invasion.

It is worthy to note that Russia is currently in the process of setting up four major naval bases in the countries near Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean which will serve as a place to locate part of the invading force. Watch Israel to see her surrounded by a potential invading army of many nations and know that the time of the end and the return of Jesus Christ is near.

Ezek 38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates.

Ezek 38:14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

Ezek 38:15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

Ezek 38:16 and thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

Ezek 38 States clearly that the invasion comes during a time of peace, when Israel feels extremely safe and secure and is not expecting any attack from anyone. This is a description of how they feel now.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

This is a warning to all of us. We must be diligent in the service of our Lord. We are to watch and pray. There will be a point of time when we will be examined to see if we are worthy to escape all these things. When that time comes it will be too late to prepare or to go out to find oil to put into our lamps as the five foolish virgins did in the parable in Matt 25:1.

Matt 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

The ten virgins in this parable represent the Christian church which is also described as the bride of Christ. The parable of the ten virgins will be acted out when Christ returns to earth. Those of us who do not have oil in our lamps in that day will be shut out and not allowed to go into the marriage feast and all the rewards associated with it at that time.

Matt 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish.

Matt 25:3 They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Matt 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Matt 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Matt 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Matt 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

    Matt 25:8 And the
