It enlightens you of God, who has worked miracles by healing blinded eyes, causing the lame to walk, and restoring life to the dead. It highlights how the odds can be against you, but when given to God, the results yield nothing short of a miracle. You will be blessed, and your faith will be increased when you read what God has done and what He is capable of doing. Miracles are yet happening in our day; they did not disappear with the apostles. Mother J

Dr. Loraine M. Jones was born and grew up on a farm in Tennessee. She was the second oldest of five children. Her parents were poor and unable to provide her a college education. She left her parent’s home upon graduating from high school in pursuit of her dreams for higher education. Dr. Jones was married and became the mother of six children, grandmother of sixteen, and great-grandmother of three. She became a secretary and worked in the field of education for twenty-five years. She attended several colleges. She has been actively involved in church ministry for more than fifty years. Dr. Jones has taught the Bible to all age groups and is a licensed evangelist in the Pentecostal church. She has earned a doctoral of divinity degree. Her last hurdle to conquer is to be a hospital chaplain/counselor, where she can help, encourage, and minister to the hurting, instructing them how to trust Christ for their complete deliverance.

    Preface

I would like to illuminate your way of thinking to the point of you considering that the impossible is possible. I am going to highlight some of the miracle-working, life-changing experiences that have happened in our present day to prove that the impossible is possible. God has made blind eyes see. The dead have been raised to life, and He has caused the lame to walk. All of these miracles have been done by the awesome power of the living God.

God is yet working miracles in our day and time regardless of who believes it or not. I have seen them with my own eyes, heard them with my own ears and have experienced miracles in my own life. I know of a truth that shows God is still working miracles today. He has healed me of various afflictions and conditions. When I was under the care of doctors they were continually prescribing more medication for the pain but God healed me from those pains and the conditions associated with it completely.

    Acknowledgments

S pecial thanks to God for giving me the inspiration to write this book. Dr. Clowell Williams Jr., my divinity professor, instructed me as I wrote. My friend Phyllis Mitchell also shared things that were helpful to me as I was compiling this information. My children were very instrumental in helping me research various topics. And my grandchildren also helped me tremendously in various areas. I truly thank all who made a contribution---whether big or small---to the writing of this book. It is greatly appreciated. May God's richest blessings be upon each of you.

    Introduction

G od wants to expose us to who He really is, what He can do and what He has done. He is the God of the universe. He is the beginning and the ending. Before there was a when or where, God was. He is the One who said, Let there be light, and there was. He is the one who separated the light from darkness. God called the light day and the darkness night. He is the one who separated the waters from the dry land. He told the waters to go to the seas and the ocean and they obeyed Him and went to their respective places.

When we believe God the impossible becomes the possible. The only thing we have to do is believe that He is who He says He is. All things are possible! Can a four-thousand-pound car run over a baby's head and the baby suffer no injury? That's possible. Can a blood transfusion be performed in the church with no doctors present? That's possible. Can a person's sight be completely restored after an injury? That's possible. Can a person's foot be rotten and stinking then be healed and restored back to normal overnight? That's possible. When the temperature is extremely hot and the sun is beaming down bright, a woman can pray and the temperature can drop fifteen to twenty degrees immediately. That's possible. Can a baby die for thirty-two minutes then be restored back to life? That's possible. Not only are these things possible, but they have all happened and nobody but God could have done them. This is the kind of God I want to introduce you to in case you don't know Him in this aspect. He is the God who does things that may seem impossible. He's that kind of God.

    Chapter 1

    I Have Seen Him Work

W hen I look around and see the sun, moon and stars, I think of God's handiwork. When I think of how the mountains, the seas and the oceans came into existence, I say, Oh, what a mighty God.

I was raised in the South, specifically in Tennessee, the second of five children. My parents were God-fearing people. We were very poor, and we lived on a farm. This is life how I remember it. Will you take a stroll with me down my memory lane?

In the mid-1940s, we moved from the southwest side of the small town to the northwest side of the town. We moved to another farm. The area where we moved this time was known as the bottom. I don't know how it got its name, but it could be because it was in the lowlands near a river. We were now
