Chapter Two: In the Closet
Living in our world today, we are faced with a lot of challenges ranging from all areas and walks of life. We have social challenges, we have financial pressures, we have families who have been under attacks, and all these come at the same time against us.
Now we need to understand one thing when it comes to all these dealings just mentioned; it is done on purpose to distract and cause us to lose focus and hope and even tries to discourage us in God.
The enemy of our soul knows too well that if he can just cause us to be distracted from the real meaningful thing that we are assigned here on earth to do, he has already won the victory.
The devil will never throw at you one attack at a time, for he knows that you can handle it, so he will launch multiple attacks, a series of attacks so that by the time you deal with a sickness in your family, he tries to hit your job with cut hours or even layoffs. And by the time you deal with your job’s issue, he brings your house into default and intent to foreclose. And by the time you deal with your house situation, he brings your family issues where your spouse now is acting up because of all these pressures, and you are in the middle, and you have been holding on for so long, but now you are getting tired, and your hands are getting weak each day, and you go out, and it’s only funny news that await your coming back.
The devil was our Lord’s enemy, and he will be ours as well, so we need to learn how our Lord dealt with him so we can do exactly the same thing and expect the same exact result, which is victory.
Notice that all these have one purpose: to get us to lose our focus on what God has called us to be and do in Him. There is no other reason as to why the devil will put his attention on us if they were nothing valuable.
And by all these stuff, it is our core being that the devil is challenging; it is the real us that he is challenging.
Are you a Christian? That is the devil’s question, and so now he will bring all these stuff to prove you wrong and test you and bring doubt to yourself.
The devil never changes, and his way of doing things and his way of attacks never changes either. He is the same devil that won over Adam and Eve, and he is the same devil that lost to Christ, and now he is the same one that will try to convince us that he can still win over us, so it rests on us to prove him wrong.
The devil will come at us and try to get us to lose our integrity and character in God, and this is what he is really after. If the devil can get you to shake your integrity and character, then he has already won over you. If the devil can get you to be a different person than you really are, then he has an upper hand over you.
This is why I wrote this book because I saw many Christians who faithfully attended different church services and different ministry seminars and conferences, but in their private lives, none of the things that they learned from those events could be applied or even bear fruits thereof or show for it.
Christians today have two different lives; one life is the one that you see on the outside—the public life where everything is just holy and redeemed and lifting up of holy hands and carrying big bibles and attending all the church services, and it seems like everything is just fine. On the other hand, the life that most Christians have is the one that concerned me most and caused me to write this book. The hidden life, the life behind closed doors, the life that one lives in the closet where nobody sees and knows.
Let me tell you this: the devil used to focus on stopping people from going to church. The devil used to avert people from attending seminars and life-changing conferences, but now he is not so much in doing that anymore. Now, the devil’s focus has switch from stopping people from going to church to letting them go to church but meeting them in their bedroom or their private lives. So after all the church activities, you come back home where you ought to live out what you have just learned from church; but instead, you come right back into living a life that is pleasing unto the enemy and displeasing to God.
It is one thing to go to church, but if you cannot carry out what you just learned from church into your daily life and put it into practice then, you are the right person to have this book handy.
You go to church and still live in fornication—that is sex outside of a marriage covenant. You go to conferences and feel God’s presence, and your heart is really moved, but once you get home, you cannot help but go on the Internet and mess with pornographic materials and spend time into books that are not edifying to your growth or even you cannot get pass your homosexuality lustful desires, and you struggle with it.
You now wonder why I can’t feel the same way I felt in church. Why I can’t bring the glory of God from the church services into my home. Why I can’t feel confident about the different challenges that during church service I thought I could deal with it, but once I get home, it is another story.
You need to get the devil out of your house. Matter of fact, take a quick break from reading this book and stand up and walk around your house and declare out loud, Devil, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to get out of my house, get out of me, get out of my family, and the blood of Jesus Christ is against you.
If you always wonder why you can’t live your church experience at home in your daily life, then this book is written for you.
For those who want to bring the glory of God home on a daily basis, this is for you. From now on, you will bring God’s glory from the conferences to your home; you will experience deliverance from all the secret bondages and live freely. Let me tell you this: there is no joy to live a life full of joy not just in church or conferences but in your daily activities as well.
This book will get you from church to home with victory. This book will help you not just live a Christian life within the church wall, but you will experience the Christian life in your home as well. You will learn how to rule in your environment. You will learn how to live a life of character and integrity in the face of the enemy. You will learn how to live a life from your closet to beyond closed doors, and you being the same individual.
The things that you struggled with in your private life that nobody knew about and the things that overpowered you in the past—now it is your turn to overpower what overpowered you. The things that made you cry—now it is your turn to make it cry as well; now it is your turn to live a life that is pleasing to God, not only in people’s eyes but mainly in your private life behind closed doors.
Now you can trouble what has troubled you for long time. Now you can bind what has held you in bondage for a long time. Now you can terrorize what has been terrorizing you. Be blessed.

Born in Sin
Chapter One
You Are Your Soul
Ministering to people God sends my way have really taught me a lot, especially when it comes to the salvation of one’s soul.
The first point that I really want to make prior to us getting in the book is that we need to understand that our soul is very important; our soul has a great value not only in God’s eyes, the devil’s eyes, but in our own eyes as well.
We should not play with our soul, nor should we allow anybody to just come in and have a feast over our soul because after all is said and done, what do we have left to our name if not our soul.
To give us a glimpse in knowing the real value of our soul, we need not to look further than the aggressiveness and anger that the devil presents in dealing with it.
The devil doesn’t really go after your body or spirit, but he will put all his efforts on trying to get your soul because he knows that the soul of someone is the person themselves, and if he can get your soul, he automatically has you.
Genesis 2: 7 tells us that God breathed into the nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.
From here, we can conclude that man was not a living soul from the get-go, but instead, God had to breathe into man the breath of life so he can become a living soul. Your soul is you.
It is a sad thing that this teaching is not so much emphasized today, and maybe that should explain why people take their soul lightly, for granted and let anybody misuse or abuse it.
Your soul is the greatest thing that God has ever given you, and it is at the same time the greatest thing that the enemy is after. Remember with me that the devil is called the enemy of our souls as opposed to God who is referred to as the Bishop of our souls (1 Peter 2:25).
We understand that God who has given us this soul and is also keeping it, wants us to be aware of it, and at the same time, He wants us to know that there is an enemy of our soul out there and that this enemy is after our very soul. But we are the ones to fight for what God has given us; we need to fight for our souls and let nobody talk us out of it.
Matthew 16:26: For what profited a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul, or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
These two questions and statements were made by Christ after a conversation with His disciples, and it was not really a conversation, but it was a rebuke instead. Christ had just finished telling His disciples of the events that were to take place—His betrayal, His death, His burial, and most importantly, His resurrection from the dead. And Peter, being the zealous one, stood up and tried to rebuke the Master, and at that time the Master turned around and rebuked Peter, and Christ continues on to tell His disciples about the value of a soul.
The point Christ was trying to make is that there is not enough world to be gain that can replace your soul; in other words, you cannot gain enough world stuff that can value more than your soul, and He continues on to say that you cannot even give anything of a great value in exchange for your soul. The point that Christ was trying to drive here is that your soul is valuable, so don’t let nobody and anything rule over it.
Christ made this point as a warning not to the disciples of those days only but to us as well. Yet with this warning, this is exactly what the devil has and is doing to the people of God.
The devil will give you all the worldly goods and stuffs only if you bow to him and worship him. The devil will give the fame that you need in exchange for your soul. The devil will give the pleasure that you need in exchange for you bowing to him and worshiping him. Let’s not forget the encounter the devil had with Christ.
Matthew 4:8: The devil takes Christ to an exceeding high mountain, and shows him all the kingdom of the world, and the glory of them, and saith unto him, all these things I will give unto you, if you will bow and worship me.
Now prior to studying this scripture, let me point out to you first that the devil has never and will never change; therefore, his way of doing things will never change either, and his way of attack and deception will always be the same. The same way the devil tempted Christ back then, it is going to be the same way he will tempt and attack us today.
The devil took Christ to an exceeding high mountain. There was a reason for that because the more you go high, the more you will see everything clearer, and you will have a good view of the things that you need to see. Notice that the devil has the power to take people to that high place and show them worldly stuff.
The devil showed him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory thereof. The devil knows what human beings are after. He knows that human beings always long for worldly stuffs and the glory that comes with it.
Now we need to know what are these Kingdom stuffs that the devil showed him. Let me be plain. It is any earthly thing that you will need to make it in this life—houses, cars, clothes, jewelries—anything that will give you happiness. Notice with me that I didn’t say joy. Joy is different from happiness. Happiness comes and goes away, while Joy comes and stays within you.
Notice with me the timing that the devil first told and showed him all the stuffs he was to gain, but then he dropped the bomb, only if you bow and worship me.
One thing about the devil—there is no free stuffs with him; he always operated that way. He will give you a glimpse of what he knows will entice and seduce you, and once he has your mind, then he can manipulate you any way he wants.
Remember the conversation he had with Eve in the garden in Genesis 3:1-6. First of all, that conversation should have been cut short, but the more he talked with her, the more Eve started to picture what he was saying and the more she was dropping her guard by picturing what he was saying to her, and that is when the devil hit hard. The same strategy the devil used here—he told her of who she could probably become, and when she heard it, instead of counteracting it with what was told her by Adam, instead, she engaged in more talk with him, and we all know the end of that story.
The devil is after your soul, and he will do anything in his power to get it, and he will give you anything that he has legal right to get your soul.
Notice the devil said, I will give it to you.
Meaning he has the power to give whatever he wants to whoever he wants, and that has been given to him, but what he doesn’t
