About this ebook

At risk of losing their lives in a storm at sea, a layed-back piece of seaweed and an adventurous young flying fish become good friends. While in peril, they learn the secrets found in the sun, moon, planets and stars. Can this have anything to do with the Three Wise Men seen in displays during the Winter Holidays? Meantime based on a true story, a very well-known actor recently played the role of a Sea Captain. The importance of a ships Master became quite clear in that movie. Pirates know that the merchant cargo ships do not carry guns and weapons, so they were able to gain control of the huge ship. The giant ship that Capt. Paul masters is also a target of pirates. So what does this have to do with the Three Wise Men? Where the three Wise Men pirates? What do Capt. Paul and the Three Wise Men have in common?

Just like a ships Master, the Three Wise Men knew how to employ the sun, moon, planets and stars to forcast conditions and recognize coming events. Astrologers believe that the sun, moon, planets and stars determine peoples actions, peoples personality and even the course of history. Does this mean Capt. Paul practiced astrology? Were the Three Wise Men astrologers? Why is it possible to accurately forecast conditions and recognize coming events using the sun, moon, planets and the stars? Not everyone agrees on why or how it is possible.

Captain Paul explains the orderly design in the heavenly objects. It allowed the Three Wise Men to find the first Christmas. That same orderly design allowed ancient mariners to navigate to far away lands. The same principals allow modern GPS systems to tell drivers how to get to where they are going.

Buildings and ships are created in an orderly design by engineers. Who designed the orderly system that allowed the ancient mariners to navigate, and astrologers to interpret the Zodiak? Two new friends discover that whatever created that orderly system, is the same Creator who makes sure there is air to breath and food to eat. They learn that relying on the creation rather than the Creator can result in devastation. The seaweed and flying fish want to tell others that they learned how created things can perish, but the Creator can always provide the things we need. Read and find out if they ever get that chance?

Author

Sir Grinsalot

From his grandmother’s home in Bay Shore, NY this author found the Hope and Joy of Christmas celebrated each year. Summers found him and his cousin Ajay sneaking through boat building & repair yards, passenger terminals and fishermen wharves. The adventures were numerous, and so were the spankings. Meantime, tree-forts, wooded land and open fields provided more conventional venues for imaginative battlegrounds, safaries, World-Series games and Super Bowl showdowns. Starting at the age of seven, the excitement of taking a fire engine to a blazing general alarm fire seemed well within grasp while riding to parade sites as a member of the local Junior Fireman organization. An appreciation for mountaineering and wild creatures was gained from canoeing and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains of NY. Being picked-on and made-fun-of kept this author’s feet firmly grounded in reality, while fostering humility. Yet the harsh realities of being bullied would later serve for motivation leading to athletic scholarships, serving aboard oceangoing steamships to foreign lands, and finally molding a heart of compassion to serve the local community (and beyond). Throughout it all, the Hope and Joy of Christmas continue to guide this author’s heart.
