About this ebook
This is my story. And for all the time that a story was told about myself, this will shed the light on the truth from the beginning. Some will love it, some will like it and some will hate it and be angry - The truth tends to bring that out in folks. My story is to be an open and living testimony that no matter where you live, what circumstances you are born into, what trials you have gone through - YOU CAN MAKE IT! If you want to...life is bittersweet for me, I learned the hard way that only the strong will survive...life WILL kick you in the teeth - either you will stay down, cry and whine about it or get up, rinse out your mouth, put ice on it and keep it moving.
Please see my story as a cautionary tale of how to be a better advocate and protector of your children, make better life choices, always keep moving and despite the hard times, God always looks out and protect those who believe.
God Bless,
Lady J

I feel that my life experiences qualifies as a reason for me to write the book. The different situations that I have overcome in my life. I realized a few things about life at an early age The Good The Bad and The Ugly. I seen it I lived it and I overcome so many obstacles from the life. I am the oldest of five children. Born and raised in Hamilton Ohio. Second ward the bottom is what it’s called. It seems that I could stand on every street corner and give you a story about the history of my city. Growing up in the second ward being from the streets and experiencing and surviving so much. So much that if I was standing on a sidewalk beginning as a child with all my friends and we walk up the street. As we continue to walk my friends disappear simply because of the experiences in life. Being incarceration death or drugs. Yes there are success stories but you can’t hear about them or share within if they don’t come around. Meaning the people. I hear it all the time if you were anywhere but Hamilton you would make it! I beg to differ! As crazy as it may sound, taking in account the negative situations that has happened in Hamilton. I felt safe then as I do now. Once you learn how to move around The Belly of the Beast, you learn how to survive...

CHAPTER 1
My Life
My story began the day I entered this world. I was born in 1965 in a small city called Hamilton,Ohio (Little Chicago).
Hamilton is a place, where everyone knows your name and they will have you pronounced dead before you die.
A place where lies and rumors are believed and have destroyed so many people’s lives. A place where there’s never a shortage of drugs, crime and murder. A city where who and what you know can cause you to lose your life. A place where who and what you know and do can get you killed.
The daughter of two young parents in the 60’s. at the time my mother was living at home with her parents. The second oldests and the oldest Girl of 17 children. Being the second oldest came with it’s own set of responsibilities.
My Father was 1 of 10 children. The Only boy, living at home with his parents. Could you imagine what it was like to have 9 sisters.
After the rumors started it got back to the parents, both being concerned. The only thing left to do was talk. So now it was time for the two families to come together and talk, talk about this baby. Talk about the baby.
The first meeting took place my Mother’s parents house. Standing in the dining room the question was asked. Are you carrying our sons child? My Mother replied
NO" for whatever reason.
But because of all of the talk in the streets in
time my Grandparents took matters into their own hands. The start of Drama surrounding my life.
The next meeting was in court.
Judge Black.
At that time the parents made most of the decisions for the families. At the court hearing my mother and My father sat in the hallway as their parents went into the courtroom to talk with the judge. as the two of them sat in the hallway not really talking to each other.
Her on one side and him on the other. When the Parents came out of the courtroom, it was over. He was not the Father.
Soon after He graduated from high school he went into the military and didn’t look back.
Now my mother was on her own.
