    Martha Schlender was born in Poland, grew up in Germany, and went to Canada in 1954. Throughout her life she tried to sort through her many childhood memories and was told that some of those memories belonged to her oldest sister, Wilhelmine, who had died five years before Martha was even born. Needless to say this started a long and intense search, which is shared in this book.
