Introduction
D avid, one of the leading senior citizens of a small country in the southern hemisphere, is about to complete his mission to bring a better world to all the people who follow a certain pattern, aiming to fulfil and attain a higher understanding of man’s purpose on earth.
His mission began in a small, poor, and divided country in South America. The educational system was stranded when the country was forced to become independent not through a coup d’état or by a political struggle, but by the disappointing state of the world economy.
The country was rudderless, and the various interim governments brought the country to a complete standstill. David and his group, together with the last government and those who were willing to see the country make its comeback, revived the mood of almost 70 per cent of its citizens.
They had the courage to subtly bring the country back to life. They made a practical, functional, step-by-step guide, communicating and motivating people towards a common goal of well-being.
The system was based on a complete source of information with a broad FAQ, where the people could monitor their own progress or situation in all secrecy. In times of doubt, advice and support could be given by the system. In severe situations, a personal counsellor or coach could be allocated. There was no penitentiary system in effect.
In secrecy, the system was working on a project to develop a new world on the planet Venus to ease the earth from its heavy load. This project was carried by all well-thinking humans.
Chapter 1
I t is a Sunday afternoon. A fancy screen calendar on the wall giving quotes of the day stands on Sunday, 25 January. The sun stands high up in the sky, and it is almost forty degrees Celsius outside the building. The sky is clear and blue, with hardly any wind. Normally, the north or north-east wind from the sea blew over the land, bringing the temperature down to an average of thirty degrees.
It is not unusual at this point of summertime that most of the people take a siesta, an afternoon nap till six in the evening. That was when the temperature drops down to 20 degree Celsius, people come out on the street, shops, restaurants and café’s open their doors.
Musicians do their tour in the city, dancing, and singing. The city comes to life after eight at night and goes one in the morning. This is from Monday through Saturday. Sunday is used as a day of meditation and for a revenir à soi.
Though today is a Sunday, for a group of people in the l’Édifice Vert, it is very intense and somewhat sad, and anxiety takes the upper hand. Even nature outside the building is standing sadly by, like the palm, coconut, and mango trees beside the lake. There are no ripples on the lake; the ducks are not making their usual quacking.
Although the temperature inside the building is constantly an agreeable sixteen to eighteen degree Celsius, people need to use their handkerchiefs to wipe the sweat from their foreheads. Tensions are high and very stressful. It is noticeable on every member’s face in the room. Some of them are talking with and to themselves, gesticulating with fingers and hands.
The detecting thermometer and aura-meter, which are located on the top of every doorway and on the ceiling of every chamber, are registering elevated and oscillating body temperatures and body radiation.
The chairman isn’t nervous or uneasy, and fellow members are very quiet. All of them tensely watch the screens in front of them, asking for what may come next. The members know their places and duties, and they have contacted their counterparts overseas. They say no news is good news, but in this case, they need the news, whether good or bad.
There is one thing they have no control over, and that is time. Their eyes jump from one screen to the other, searching for movement and changes on the screen. Every click or sound means something to them.
Everybody is on the watch for a sign, especially from their counterparts in Australia, but mostly from Jennifer. She has shut off her GPS communication chip, as well as her encrypted life sign signal. Also, at the border control, she is avoiding passing through DNA detection devices.
This is a good sign, especially when one feels threatened. They hope that she knows how to escape, get rid of the burden, and make it impossible for others to electronically track her movements. She has had extensive training in martial arts, camouflage, disguise, and anything useful to survive in extreme conditions. The group trusts that these arts will help her beat the odds.
The last secure message indicated that she left some two hours ago from the Australian continent, boarding an Indonesian commercial flight with an itinerary of Sydney to Manila. She was last seen in the customs hall, passing customs’ secured tunnel, waving her right hand to camera one, halting under camera two, announced her name, waving her left hand to camera three, and waiting for the green light to board the Garuda airplane. The border control computer detected no anomalies in her voice, her brain’s emitted frequency, and her body mass.
It is known and confirmed by shadow observers that Jennifer is being followed and stalked by three unknown, supposedly secret agents, who also got on board the same aircraft. Shadow members have tracked these three agents before and at the first check-in. They spotted these agents half a mile before the main entrance of the departure building. The agents checked in and identified themselves as British
