The colorful illustrations provide the perfect visual that definitely makes this story come to life. Also, the author, Maureen Sky, created the fairy images from her knowledge of vintage jewelry. Specifically, vintage Bakelite bangle bracelets (Maureens favorite pieces, I.e. Applejuice, Butterscotch, and Endofday) which allows the knowledgeable reader of Bakelite jewelry, a bit of fun and creative humor while reading the story.

Maureen Sky

Now retired, Author, Maureen Sky, spends much of her time writing, reading, painting/crafting, gardening and enjoying nature. With her creative spirit and also having worked for many years, clerical within a high-school setting alongside many administrators and professionals, she was able to learn how to write well, gaining knowledge of good grammar as well. Typing and learning how to type well over the years, along with a bit of humor being her driving force, Maureen was able to write and create "Hashtag Leaves Qwertyville" for all to enjoy. My two wonderful children, Ryan and Ginamarie, who always enjoy a story or two from their creative, crafty, and, at times, a bit eccentric mother. My lovely stepdaughter, Michele, who has supported me from day one; Nicky, Adrianne, and Alysha, my lovely nieces; and Lisa, my smart and fun-loving cousin, who, several weeks ago, all listened while I read to them my first written poem, Bling Fairies.
